Debbie, my strangest gift would have to be post it notes, a wrist band tape dispenser and a wrapping paper cutter. From my in-laws for Hanukkah one year. I think FIL forgot and just picked up what ever he saw as he left work (he worked at CVS!)

I am headed up to get the girls bathed and ready for bed. And then I think I am headed to bed myself. I must have only held the cold off long enough to get through the trip. I have been shivering all day and getting that yucky feeling in my throat and head. Have a great night!!

Where is he going? I would be a basket case if DS was going off somewhere for 3 days. Especially if the band director was in charge.

So, I thought of a question that might make for some interesting reading.

What was the strangest gift you've ever received?

I think mine would have to be the large jar of Greek Olives I received from my MIL.

Salt and pepper shakers from my MIL that looked like they came from a yard sale.

Nicholas is doing fine and will be going to school tomorrow. I should be okay since I've been on antibiotics since last weekend for my sinus infection. Hopefully it will stay away from Alyssa. Thanks for all the good wishes.

we did a 2 day stint...Bill still hasn't recovered....he is convinced that men shouldn't ride horses unless they wear a cup I just don't picture the Lone Ranger wearing a cup

Ah. DS went on an overnight thing in 5th grade, but it was just one night and I made DH go as a chaperone.
That place sounds like fun. I bet he will have a blast! What all do you have to pack? Is it weird stuff, or just a lot of stuff that is hard to fit in a duffle?

I keep reading reports of how bad OKW is, and tonight I found a thread about the extremely high crowds levels.

I have noticed some spotty reviews of OKW, but those have been ongoing. It is a HUGE resort.
Crowds are subjective. You guys survived in August. That was crowded AND hot AND rainy! You will be fine.

I need some good thoughts for tomorrow. I have hopefully my final appointment for my foot tomorrow. I have to be on TV as well. I get asked to fill in for a co-worker who broke her arm. If you could send good thoughts her way that would be appreciated, as it was a nasty break and she needs surgery for it.

I have to talk about the New Leadership Experience and Journeys and I am not that comfortable with it. Plus it is live and I am not a fan of being recorded. It is on a local cable channel, but still I would prefer not having to do it.

Hope both the drs appointment and tv appearance went well today!

This is going to be a crazy week---We have half days the rest of the week, with two nights of parent/teacher conferences from 7-9 and two afternoons of conferences from 130-4. Its going to be a long week!

WOW...til 9pm? We have 2 half days for afternoon conferences and some early ones before school starts. I've got all 3 next week-Tu/Wed/Th

I will be staying home with Nicholas today. I hope he feels better tomorrow since it's picture day.

Sorry to hear he has strep! Hope the drugs kick in quick for him! Will he miss picture day? Our pictures are done in September. I would think we'd be getting them back soon. They offer the 3rd set for 1/2 price but of course Lizzy's school uses a different company so we don't qualify.

I don't know what his dream job would be, but we know AKL has a chip man (we saw him in August).

I am not very pleased with the outcome of the 504 this morning. They have decided that DS does not show "significant educational impairment" so he no longer has a 504 on file. Perhaps we should send him to school without his meds and see how impaired he is? I told them his symptoms are controlled by the meds, but they said IF he stops taking meds we can revisit the 504. I also told them I am not comfortable NOT having a 504 because I need it to fall back on if I need to protest an assignment. That didn't work, either. They said I can go to the teacher and request a different assignment if I need to. The counselor kept pointing out that he is in pre-AP classes and his test scores are VERY high. I KNOW that! I just don't want him penalized for things that wold have been covered under his 504. We'll see how it goes.

How about a monorail driver for DH? He's got lots of driving experience.

We have "potential buyers" coming to the house tomorrow. So I am cleaning & tidying like mad today. I am such a nervous wreck about this whole thing. When we bought our first house we were renting so there was no home to sell first..all of this is new to me. This might be easier if I didn't like my little house & where I love now I guess.

DH has been having a LOT of problems with his knee. So he decided the smart thing to do would be to pull an extra shift tomorrow. Bonehead.

MEN. (sorry Tom & Mac....). DH hurt his shoulder last winter falling in the snow. He wouldn't go see anyone about it. Last week when he got a flu shot they asked him what arm and he said right because he left was hurting him.

WELL....I don't think it will be extremely crowded. I don't think Disney would be giving such great discounts if they didn't have to. Last year I think I paid $69 or $79/night for November. Now they are offering $49 (same as when I went in Jan and it wasn't crowded) AND the 35% merchandise discount. PLUS........even if it is crowded you know how to make the most it.

AND.......there are folks here who's opinion you must value more who like OKW.

Folks keep saying when I go in Jan/Feb it will be crowded due to the Super Bowl in Tampa but I just won't believe it. And lots say they don't like AKL because it so remote but I can't wait to go.

Jet Blue changed my flight out of Boston Jan 28 from 9am to 7:15. Even if I get a room at the airport I would have to get up at 5am. I was thinking about getting a room just so I wouldn't have to worry about the weather.

I could call and ask to be changed to the 10:20 flight but I must say I like the idea of getting to Orlando around 10:15 instead of 1:30.

Not sure what to do.....

Yeah..we have Evening conferences 7-9 on Tuesday and THursday...Wednesday and Friday are afternoon conferences 145-3:45
