I wonder if that is just an ADHD thing? It's like Jim just doesn't "see" anything in the world that could hurt him or that he could hurt somebody. I've said sorry to more people for him then I ever have for the girls.

Though Abi does come close (but I do also think she is slightly ADD....I've just been trying to teach her to be hyper aware since she was little)
It absolutely is! Elizabeth -- did you every get DS's meds regulated? I know at one point you wondered if the dose was too low as he's grown.
Just a fly by post with an update...All the tests showed no problems with my mom's heart.

That is such a relief as her dad died from a heart attack at age 47. The doctors think that it is either acid reflux or stress related.
Emma met her teacher today and likes her a lot!! I think she has a good class too.
I just got back from 2 1/2 hours at Gail's just hanging out. It was nice to just chat and get away from my house for a bit. I am now headed out to our parent meeting for Emma's Girl Scout troop.
Have a great night.
I'm glad the tests were okay and that Emma liked her teacher. Good for you for hanging out and taking time to veg.
Lindsay - I phoned The Maids because that is who my cousin in KC uses. I expected them to be expensive, and they are. Our apartment would be $93 + Tax every week and it's only 1100 square feet! Every other week would be $116. My bosses don't pay that much for their house, and they have more than 1100 square feet! But the lady they use isn't that thorough, either! The lady who cleaned for the boss I had before Brother & Sister was awesome, but it has been almost 5 years since I saw her so I have no clue if she still cleans.

I also don't know how to get in touch with her.
Are you on good terms with the former boss? I would call. I pay $85 every two weeks -- one of the perks of living in a small town! They do an okay job -- not terrific, but I'm allergic to dust and strong chemical smells so I don't have to do it and I trust them.
So, when it rains it pours,
I got home this afternnon to find my AC frozen solid. So now I have a dishwasher and an AC that need to be fixed. The dishwasher will be replaced, they don't cost enough to warrant paying to have an old one repaired, and the AC man will be here tomorrow afternoon.
Let's not even talk about losing the money that I had paid at the gym that closed and paying a new fee last night to sign up at the new one.
Can someone please pass the Calgon?
I'm so sorry. I've been having some of those issues myself! Good news that you like the new gym.
Ditto!
Debbie Happy Birthday to your Grandson
Yes -- happy birthday. Debbie -- I love the pic you posted of him and the other kids.
Just a quick notice that we will be camping this weekend. I'll check back in sometime on Sunday. Have a wonderful weekend.
I hope you guys have a fantastic time! I was looking at the calories/fat of the bread (which I probably shouldn't have done) -- how many servings did it make?
We went to the orientation last night. Andrew's teacher seems great -- she even teaches some college classes. There are a few people in there that he's been in class with for a while, so I think it will be good. They change classes all day and we don't know who is in the other classes yet.
Jake's teacher is the one from summer school, and he likes her, but I'm concerned because she's never been a lead teacher. I pay the equivalent of a cheaper new car for him to go to that school, and it doesn't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Oh well, I'm going to keep an open mind and see what happens... His best friend isn't in his class this year, and he was bummed, but there are several he's gotten to know. At least he does have girls in his class this year -- he's gone three years with no girls!
This afternoon is meet the teacher, and then we have Merrie's party tonight. I just know one of her kids will blow the surprise...
We have my niece's party tomorrow, soccer practice, baseball lessons, a local chamber auction etc., so another busy weekend. Have a great day everyone.
