Hes hanging in there--still in quite a bit of pain and sleeping alot.. Hopefully after today it gets a little bit better. He got ar eally nice edible fruit arrangement today and now were waiting for a dvd he ordered--adding to the gift shop!

Im still exhausted ,but got about 5 hours of sleep last night. I stayed up with him til 2 and got him set for bed before i went up. i figured that come tuesday ill be getting lots of sleep after the anesthesia!

glad things are somewhat better and that you got some sleep last night!

All the laundry is done. The kids' clothes, shoes, bathing suits, etc. are laid out in the staging area. I'm making progress!

Here's some of the DVC scoop...

#1 I DID NOT win the trip :sad2::sad2::sad2: However, CarolAnnC a moderator on the Dis, did win the trip

#2 I DID NOT buy any more points...although I will admit there was a moment where I almost was convinced...but then Bill shot me "the look" and for the first time in our marriage...I played the dutiful, subservient wife....I think it was a turn on for him...but clearly that is not happening again!!! :rotfl2:

More DVC news...

NO mention of Contemporary at all....big push for AKV....they did have some decent incentives.

People staying at Kidani will be able to book the sunset safari, so it will no longer be for just concierge guests....

The plans for DVC Hawaii in Oahu look amazing

Big plans for California Adventure...lot's of new attractions, some looked quite impressive

8 new destinations for Adventures by Disney

The new American Idol attraction at DHS sounds interesting...apparently the winner (the audience votes) will get a front of the line pass to the actual American Idol tryouts...

Theresa, Janet, and Jennifer

Mamma Mia was great! very energetic and upbeat.
There was only about 30 people total in the theater and most were older couples. Lots of people singing along (but not obnoxiously). Laughed a lot, so much so that my checks were hurting.

Myrle Streep can sing and Pierce Brosnan's singing wasn't half bad. Christine Baranski seems to have had so much plastic surgery that it almost doesn't look like her.

All in all I would see it again, and that is saying something as normally I just can't sit still long enough.

If you want spoilers, then let me know and I will send a PM.

Jennifer, glad to hear I am not the only one with the sickness. ;)

From one of the AKL threads on the DIS:

Cool... but now the decisions are harder! I'm not as interested in AKL, but maybe WL.... especially if we went during the holidays!

I had read about the American Idol winner... maybe in DisneyPhiles? Somewhere. I'm so excited about the sunset safari, though! :yay:

Nope! I think Glynis has it too... and Amy, to some extent :)

The editor of Disney Files was there...I enjoyed his presentation the most...the rest was all a big sales pitch...but at least this guy had some behind the scenes info

So for those of you going in Aug/have gone in Aug......any reason that we should take a long pair of pants or a jacket?

I would bring a jacket if you get cold in restaurants. I am freezing right now and I am in the hotel room. I have my little windbreaker thing, but I forgot my sweatshirt I usually bring to wear on the plane. I might have to buy a sweatshirt. :rolleyes1

From one of the AKL threads on the DIS:
So if I'm reading this right (and I don't have to go over and read the photopass thread) we can only book 30 days prior? I'd be interested in this for WL since we are there in October - I'm sure I can find some room for Santa Hat's in the suitcase!

Do you have room for it in your luggage? :teeth:

Hope your Saturday is going well. It thunder stormed this morning but now it is sunny.

Jen- I hope your brother is doing better. I hope your surgery goes well.

Hope everyone else is having a great weekend.

Can 2 kids go with one adult? I'm thinking not, but am hoping to try to save some money. We would be within the weight restrictions.

No, the harness will only accomodate 2 people at a time. Maybe your Dad would like to do it. Mine loved it.

Yes only 30 days prior. There doesn't seem to be a big problem booking either.

Kristine I would love to hear more about the Hawaii resort. I've only seen the artist rendition. I'd love to know what the resort will have to offer besides accomodations. We definitely plan to stay there and will probably buy points there too :rolleyes1
