DDA Chapter 10

To me that is a winter vacation. Why would you go to a place that has an INDOOR pool in the summertime?

I think because it has been so hot and Busch Gardens is so close. :confused3

I see you redid your sig Elin. Very nice.

Thanks! I "think" I am done playing around with it. I discovered that you can upload and use your own photos on mickeypath so I thought I would give that a whirl.

I need to go out and see if I can find some clearance steals for myself today, I certainly don't have enough clothes to compensate for the heat on our trip. I've finally reached another of my weight loss goals, things are moving slowly but surely, so I don't want to invest much money in clothing that hopefully won't fit very long.

Congratulations, Debbie! You're doing so great! If you don't have much luck on clearance racks, I did really well at Goodwill. It took some digging, but I came out with several things to get me through this size before moving futher down (which I need to get moving on again).

I hadn't! How cool are they??

ETA: You can't get them from their website and they are $10 for two at Magellan's. That is a bit pricey. But not out of the question.

One of my favorite finds is here:

...between myself and my girlfriend, we'd finish the bottle before we'd be brining it home. :-) But it is a great idea if we can't finish the second bottle! :rotfl:

I have seriously been entertaining the purchase of the winedoggy bags for our trip in September. I love wine but Bob does not. I usually drink 2 glasses of wine or so at a longer-lasting dinner so buying a bottle is often cheaper. But, once that bottle has been opened it is sometimes difficult to take it out of the restaurant due to "merlot to go" laws. Florida does allow you to take your opened wine with you BUT you cannot get out of the parks with an open container of alcohol. I am betting you could use this to take a partially consumed bottle back to your resort.

I am also thinking that the F&W Festival could rake in some $$ if they offered to sell those WineSkins to guests who want to take some of that grapey magic home with them. Just think... they could have the F&W logo printed on them! What advertising. And what a nice souvenir. I would love to suggest it, but Disney doesn't accept "creative ideas or suggestions" unless they have requested them. dummies...

When I am out with friends we can usually polish off two bottles, if the evening is long enough. Like, say, Melting Pot. Right, Tammi? ;)

At WDW if the girls are with us two bottles is perfect for a long dinner such as Yachtsman or CA Grill, etc.

But by myself... :sad2: I would need to stay there a LONG time to finish an entire bottle of good wine and even by then I probably wouldn't appreciate how good it was.

That makes total sense! My thing is that I'd never order a bottle of wine if it was just me and myBob. He doesn't drink it and there is no way I can drink a whole bottle by myself AND enjoy it at the same time. And I agree about the F&WF doggybags too! (I wonder if I can slide the suggestion to my DM... :confused3 )

We always finish the bottle too...but I like both products!

Jonathan is finally home for a couple of weeks...he finished his internship at the nuclear particle lab...I checked on him at night to see if he was glowing :rotfl2:

He is spending the next few days in the city for Lollapalooza

Today is the 1 year anniversary to the DVC Doorway to Dreams at the mall nearby....Bill & I are signed up to go check it out...it should be interesting....he did give me the "no more points" speech....last time we went to one of these meetings we left with 200 AKV points

I am going to wait until September 1, when the WineSkin online store is open for business again. I may order a couple of those items from them or Magellan's is the price is about the same.

Also, I think I will place an order for 25 winedoggy bags. Anyone interested in any of them? The cost for 25 is only $18.75 + 7.50 S&H. That comes to only $1.05 per bag. Not bad for saving a great bottle of wine to drink in your room!

:rotfl: How nice to have him home and how lucky to be able to do Lollapalooza!

Have fun! Hmmmm.... are the selling Contemporary Tower points yet? :rolleyes1

I'd be interested Elin....

Absolutely. ::yes::

Will Disney accept suggestions from anyone anymore? I didn't think they would. But, it might not hurt. I think the WineSkins would be perfect in the F&W Festival Welcome Center where they sell all the wine. It could be sealed up there to be sent back to your room and then could be plopped into your checked bag for a protected return trip home. I don't know that they would have use for the winedoggy bags there, but I would think that WDW restaurants could certainly make use of them!
