On yesterday's show, EJ came and told her some bad news- the judge that John paid off had beem moved off of her trial, and a tough, throw-the-book-at-them judge had replaced her. Also, the police had been able to pull some emails off of Ava's computer that were between her and the guys who messed with the plane. So, basically, she's in big trouble, and will almost certainly be going to jail for a long, long time. She decided to run away (I'm guessing she will leave the country). She left for good, but wrote John a letter that she left for him at the mansion. I'm sure on today's or tomorrow's show, we'll get to hear what it says.

It was all very sudden- if you didn't watch yesterday's show, you'd have missed the whole thing.

Well, there hasn't actually been a trial yet- she's just getting out of town before they can convict her of anything!

What do you want to bet some mystery gal or guy shows up in Salem about 5-6 years from now (as a teen or early 20something, of course) and tell John he/she is his child with Ava? They did the same with EJ- he should be only about 9 years old or so, but he shows up in Salem as a late 20's race car driver, and turns out to be Stefano's son with Susan...

I love how silly it is too!! I've been watching for over 10 years (a long time to me, but not as long as some I know!). It doesn't bother me when the kids are "aged". I'm so glad they aged EJ!! If they hadn't we would never have been able to partake in the hotness that is James Scott!!! Can you tell I'm a fan???

I can't believe it, but I've been watching for 21 years now (on and off- mostly on). My 3 college roomies all watched Days, so I got hooked, too. I remember that when I first started watching, Bo and Hope had just left on their sail around the world with baby Shawn Douglas. Steve and Kayla were the big couple- Marlena had just gone missing, and Roman (back when John Black thought he was Roman) had to take care of the twins and Carrie all by himself. Victor was the town baddie, along with Senator Harper Devereaux, Jack's father. Jack was in love with Kayla, and since Steve found out that Jack was his biological little brother "Billy" (and Jack was sick with Hodgkin's), Steve pushed Kayla away and into Jack's arms.

Good times! It's fun to remember all the oooold storylines. It's actually kind of depressing- they are so much better than the past few years on Days...

I remember 40 years ago...(yes I know I'm old) coming home from kindergarten and my mom watching. At that time Marie was there and she was a nun who was having an affair I think. Mickey and Maggie had their problems too. At one point I think she couldn't walk. There was Mike Horton who married Robin.

I liked Colleen and Santo too- except for the "1970's-era porn" mustache on Santo. It was so cheesy and fake, it was distracting.

I don't know about anyone else, but I thought Hope looked beautiful today when she got all dressed up for their "wedding". Bo and Hope are one of my favorite couples and thought it was so romantic when she thought Kayla was standing there and then she turned around and it was Bo!!

When she whispered 24 years to him my jaw dropped. I have been watching 1 year before that so this is my silver anniversary with DOOl.

I have to say right now the storylines are all keeping me tuned in.

So there was a commercial today explaining what is happening during olympic coverage but I just caught the end of it. Can someone tell me what's happening? Do I have to read what is going on online or are they picking up with the next episode when the olympics are over?

Not silly at all. From what I read in Soap Opera Digest, they are going to hold off on the big storylines until after the Olympics and just have little short storylines. So I guess poor Marlena will be on the floor for two weeks until the end of the Olympics.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Am I the only one who doesn't care if Marlena's character STAYS on the darn floor? I'm tired of her character!!! I love the "new" John & it was delightful watching him & Eva. Too bad her stay in Salem was so short.

I haven't watched much of this week's episodes yet but they're taped. I so miss reading the Soap Opera digest. Apparently we've let our subscription end. Oh well. Too bad for me I guess. I'll catch up with the episodes on the weekend.

Our local cable company is changing their channel lineup so in a week or so which means I won't be able to get Soapnet! Well, I'll be able to get it on the TV we have the company's digital box hooked up to, but not where I am able to tape shows. This means when our local channels have to interrupt for news bulletins I won't be able to tape the entire episode from Soapnet. Bummer! I can't do any taping with the stupid digital box from the cable company! I can't figure out how to hook the dvd/vhs machine up with the box & tv to enable taping to work. Oh, I miss the good old days of analog only...

I thought for sure when Stefan had whoever inject Marlena that John would have some memory sparks or something....WRONGO on my part..... Today's show was so WEIRD with all the different hallucinations! Good show today IMO! I hope it keeps going like this for a while.....not the gas part, the good storyline. I knew bringing Stefano back would be a good thing! How many times does this make him 'come back' now???

Me too! I watched one whole week in just a couple hours a couple days ago and finally have been able to watch the whole things, thinking the commercials were way too long!
