We started the day with our DVC presentation. I was a little nervous because I had heard horrible things about other time share prsentations. This one was wonderful. Upon arrival we were offered coffee, orange juice and danishes. We took the children to the Boardwalk child care facility where they could play video games, watch movies, color or play with lots of Disney toys! The boys settled right in at the video games and we left with our hostess. She briefly went through the history of DVC and asked us about our vacation habits. She couldn't believe we weren't already members. We then walked through a model of the Beach Club Villas. They were beautiful. She then took us in a private room and we talked about the cost in detail. It was so informative and low pressure. Time flew and I couldn't believe when it was over. We picked up our boys and left with a lot to think about.
After the presentation, we headed back to Stormalong Bay and swam for a bit. Lunch was at Hurricane Hannah's. Dennis and Brandon rented a water mouse.
We went back to the room and that is when the boys discovered the little lizards everywhere. They spent the next hour out in the courtyard chasing lizards. They still say that was among their favorite parts of our vacation!
We started getting ready for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party around four and arrived at MK by 5. We were let in with our tickets and given treat bags and wrist bands. We headed off to Adventureland and walked through the Swiss Family Treehouse and rode Pirates. Then off to find the Passholder event.
It was held in Columbia Harbour House. They were handing out soda, popcorn and apples. They also had a band playing and a few characters, but we found it so crowded we left quickly. There was a ghost flying above Frontierland.
By now only Fantasyland was open. We walked on many rides, Snow White, Small World, Peter Pan and Pooh. We noticed this strange way to good-bye on the It's A Small World ride.
Cinderella's coach was set up in front of the castle.
We headed towards Tomorrowland and ate dinner at Starlight Ray's. The boys all got a kick out of Starlight Ray. While in that area we rode Buzz Lightyear and got our photo taken.
We headed back across the park to watch the fireworks and see the witch fly down from the castle. The headed for The Jungle Cruise, which was really fun at night. We saw tons of huge bullfrogs along the sides of the ride moats. they boys were more excited about the frogs than the ride itself! We also rode Pirates again and spent some time in the shop afterwards.
We then we over to Frontierland to get ready for the parade. Dennis took the big boys on Splash Mountain while I camped out with our little sleepy one on the parade route. I got to see The Headless Horseman, but my boys missed it so I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. They got back just as the parade was coming down the street. We enjoyed the parade, especially the Haunted Mansion dancers. And all the dressed up characters, of course. After the parade we headed back to the hotel. Everyone fell asleep on the bus, so we had our hands full getting back to the room.
Next Up: MGM and EPCOT
