Animal Kingdom and Publix Exposure

I sometimes think my DD will wake up at 5:30 am no matter what time zone we are in, and this day was no exception. So we get up, shower, get the monkey cleaned up and dressed for today. Today's plan is to do Animal Kindgdom, its a Sunday and the crowds should be "light." But first all the adults need coffee so we head down to Boma for breakfast, first order of business was a pressed pot of 100% Kenyan, man will that wake you up. We catch a bus to AK and enter the park. We head directly for DinoLand, on our previous trips we've walked through DL but never did any of the rides. First order of business is Primeval Whirl, on the way to the ride I bump into an old flame, The Lady Dinosaur, who immediately gives me a big hug and starts purring. My DW notices the ring on her finger and asks her if I gave it to her, we both act nochallantly and stare into space not answering my DW. We then move on to Primeval Whirl, of course the monkey is now asleep in her stroller so DMIL volunteers to watch her while DW and I ride, I can't believe it that there is absolutely no line for the ride. As our car is getting ready to start the ride the Lady Dinosaur starts flirting with me again, my DW points to me then to herself, as if to say I belonged to her, the Lady Dino, looks all dejected and walks off with her friend. The ride is great and we have a blast, when we get off I switch with my DMIL and she rides with my DW. We are done just in time for Tarzan Rocks, Alexis has fun with it but starts to cover her ears, it's a little loud for her but she dances along with some of the songs.
We then head to Africa to do Rafiki's Conservation Station. Alexis has an absolute blast here, although she tries to play with the sheep and goat jellybeans lying on the ground more than pet and brush the animals. We get back from the station and head over to Asia to see what we want to do, we wanted to do Kali River Rapids but we decide its too early in the day to get wet. Next up is the Tree of Life and It's Tough to Be a Bug, believe it or not we walk right into the show, Alexis shows herself to be quite a trooper and isn't scared of the the bug spray scene until everyone else starts screaming, but she quiets right up when everyone else stops. At this point its around 1 pm and we are ready to head back to the hotel for some lunch so off to the bus stop and back to the hotel.
On the way back we decide that were going to take the car and go to Publix for some groceries, basically bananas for the Monkey, cheese, crackers, beer and wine for the grown ups. So I get directions from a cast member at AKL and off we go. After and hour of driving and turning around and basically being lost we find the Publix and do our shopping, just in time too, Alexis was getting hungry and making her demands known. We finish up our shopping and head back to WDW property, just before we get to our turn to head back in we notice another Publix 3 miles closer to the parks. Oh well I'll know better next time, and I'll map quest it first. In the room for lunch and a nap then its off to dinner at MGM and the Brown Derby, The food is still nice although the atmosphere has changed dramatically from the first time we were there on our honeymoon, it's really a pitty. A little shopping and then its back to the room for the night.
After It's a Bugs Life, Alex kicked the pedometer off of my waist and it hit the ground pretty hard and started registering only 1 step out of 3 or 4

Paces for the Day = 15,136 although I imagine it was alot more = Miles for the day 7.6
