Sunday, January 11, 2004 Day 8
Sigh, it happens every time! I try and try to not let the trips end, but every friggin time.... sigh. We needed to be waiting for Tiffany Towncars by 5:30, so we set off for one last day.
This was the day of the Marathon. We were going to go to MK, but the bus line looked about 16 Epcot (yes, Epcot!) busses long. I'm sure it was due to the re-routing of traffic because of the race, but we still didn't want to wait. So, we headed to MGM. It took a while to scoot down to TOT, because the race was in full swing right through the park. They had crossing gaurds, and it was tough to get through! This was very near the end of the race, so we were thoroughly warned not to get in the way of the tired runners! That's fine for the three of us, but there were some guests that weren't getting the message. Anyway, I sort of got to run the marathon, or THROUGH the marathon. Safe to say that's as close as I'll get. Though if there was a marathon in my future, I'd hope it would be that one!
We spent the day on TOT and RNR, and eventually re-crossed the marathon to eat at Sci-fi Dine in. I had a rubuen (yummy) and chocolate shake. Again, I don't know what the boys got. I swear, it's written down, but the paper is safe in Brockton, MA and I am safe in Chicago, IL. Sorry! After eating, we rode some more rides. I think I blocked this day out of my memory, because I was sad that it was the last one.
We sadly arrived back at the hotel, collected or bags from luggage services, picked up our package in the gift shop, ate soem dinner, and then got picked up by an eveil man who insisted on us getting in a towncar and leaving WDW. Sigh.
The flight back was good- we got better at music trivia, and arrived back in Flushing, NY. After some driving, we made it to Eric's, Mark's, and I eventually made it home (Monday, I think....)
It was an AWESOME trip. Mark was a blast to have along. Though if you asked him he'd say, "Eh, it was kind of a dive. I've been before." But since you read this report, YOU'D know that that actually means he had fun. But when Eric's Mom says it- she really DIDN'T think Bonaire was too great, even though she'd been before. People think I'm weird for going back to WDW, but at least I LIKE it.... she goes back to a place she isn't even excited about....
Hope you enjoyed reading! And I hope I can go back soon, because I have no trips planned and it's depressing! Maybe the next trip could be a honeymoon... hint, hint Eric
