Eric, guess! (yup, 23)- We went to WDW last May, and he's a convert!

Sunday, January 11, 2004 Day 8

Sigh, it happens every time! I try and try to not let the trips end, but every friggin time.... sigh. We needed to be waiting for Tiffany Towncars by 5:30, so we set off for one last day.
This was the day of the Marathon. We were going to go to MK, but the bus line looked about 16 Epcot (yes, Epcot!) busses long. I'm sure it was due to the re-routing of traffic because of the race, but we still didn't want to wait. So, we headed to MGM. It took a while to scoot down to TOT, because the race was in full swing right through the park. They had crossing gaurds, and it was tough to get through! This was very near the end of the race, so we were thoroughly warned not to get in the way of the tired runners! That's fine for the three of us, but there were some guests that weren't getting the message. Anyway, I sort of got to run the marathon, or THROUGH the marathon. Safe to say that's as close as I'll get. Though if there was a marathon in my future, I'd hope it would be that one!
We spent the day on TOT and RNR, and eventually re-crossed the marathon to eat at Sci-fi Dine in. I had a rubuen (yummy) and chocolate shake. Again, I don't know what the boys got. I swear, it's written down, but the paper is safe in Brockton, MA and I am safe in Chicago, IL. Sorry! After eating, we rode some more rides. I think I blocked this day out of my memory, because I was sad that it was the last one.
We sadly arrived back at the hotel, collected or bags from luggage services, picked up our package in the gift shop, ate soem dinner, and then got picked up by an eveil man who insisted on us getting in a towncar and leaving WDW. Sigh.
The flight back was good- we got better at music trivia, and arrived back in Flushing, NY. After some driving, we made it to Eric's, Mark's, and I eventually made it home (Monday, I think....)

It was an AWESOME trip. Mark was a blast to have along. Though if you asked him he'd say, "Eh, it was kind of a dive. I've been before." But since you read this report, YOU'D know that that actually means he had fun. But when Eric's Mom says it- she really DIDN'T think Bonaire was too great, even though she'd been before. People think I'm weird for going back to WDW, but at least I LIKE it.... she goes back to a place she isn't even excited about....

Hope you enjoyed reading! And I hope I can go back soon, because I have no trips planned and it's depressing! Maybe the next trip could be a honeymoon... hint, hint Eric ;)

Pictures!

Hey Joyce
I'm coming out of hiding/lurking to tell you what a great trip report you've written. Sounds like you had a great time (even though some people just don't understand the early morning mentality that is a must at WDW).

Hope you'll be able to make another trek soon!
Karen

Enjoyed your trip report. You really packed a lot in eight days. Makes me wish for a trip.

Sounds like you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing....:)

My trip isn't until December, so I am living vicariously. Nice trip.

I am sooooooo ready to go back......and this will be our 17th trip......yah my hubby loves it as much as I do.......we are addicted Disney people..........thanks again

I'm glad people are enjoying this report! It was pretty much stream of thought writing, so I didn't know if anyone would be able to follow it!
I'm glad I wrote it- it took a while because I just can't bring myself to think too much about a trip right way- it's too sad!

All of you with upcoming trips- have fun and be VERY careful in the Nemo exhibit at Living Seas... it's a jungle in there.

I enjoyed each and every one. I like your descriptions! Thanks for helping me get through the last couple months before my next trip!

And I hope you get back there soon. Come on Eric, take that hint!::yes::

I have really enjoyed reading your trip reports Joyce. You are a great writer. :) I am 40 something and love WDW. I would go there 4 times a year if I could afford it. My family and friends also do not understand my addiction. I figure with all the addictions I could have, this isn't too bad. :p

Great report...thanks. Hope you get to WDW on honeymoon before too long!
Gill

;)

Great report and I love the way you connected each one so I didn't have to go looking all over the boards for the next installment. I also think Evil Father should be banned from the parks!! Ggrrr....
Can we see some pictures please?

Yes, you can (but only because you asked so nicely)! But not until tonight. Eric kidnapped the camera and brought it to work (with the memory sticks)... But just think, tonight you'll be able to see Team Purple for yourself!

My husband does understand my addiction and accompanies me to Disney because he loves me and loves to see/make me happy. He enjoys the trips, too. He just doesn't like the heat and humidity. Because he is so faithful as my trip companion, one of these days I'll go to Minnesota with him so he can fish for walleyes until he's content.
Hope your Disney honeymoon is in your future. Mine was a blast!
