Any recommendations for a hotel that has either an on property restaurant or a restaurant withing walking distance which also has an easy walk to the cruise port? Sailing on Disney if that makes a difference. My wife and I both have mobility issues so will be taking electric wheel chairs with us on the cruise and we are hoping that we can pick them up at the hotel - and leave them either there after or at the port for pick up. It's probably wont be possible to get transportation that can handle 2 chairs - so we need a place where everything we need is withing easy walking or in our case - rolling distance.

Ok so no looks like no matter what we're going to have to pay for chairs at the hotel and at the port.
So let's pull back - where is good with access to restaurants and things to do and a short drive to the port for the cruise

Have you contacted a place for wheelchairs on the ship? They typically deliver them to your room onboard. Why couldn't you take a taxi from one of the closer hotels, and use the ship's wheelchair to board?

AFAIK, most hotels in the area have a restaurant in them.

Because I will need a chair in the hotel as well as on board the ship. I can't go more then a couple of minutes on my feet before the pain in my knees and lower back overwhelm me.

Well, it seems like you'll need to find private transport from hotel to ship that can accommodate wheelchairs. And then set up wheel chair rentals to be dropped off at the hotel.

Accessibletravelsolutions.com, Call The Care, or A Wheelchair-Rider Driver Connect Dispatch, Yelp. Some hotels like Comfort Suites Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port and Courtyard Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port offer complimentary or low-cost shuttle services.

In this thread, @Anna131517 shares about walking from the Renaissance on 17th to the port, posts 8, 11, and 21. Seems like it might be a possibility for you?
