Day 8 of My Bday Trip

Today is the day that my dd and her hubby move over to their own resort - they are checking into WLV. Jen and I go over early to get her started - she gets info and is given the card to call and check when the room is ready. We drive back to BCV and the guys are finally up. We sit around and talk for a bit and I decide to call over after 2 hours had passed - guess what Jen - your room is ready after all! So the kids quickly packed up and I drove them over to check in - they got a gorgeous room with the balcony overlooking part of the quiet pool and you could see Bay Lake - wow!!! They are VERY happy with this room so dh and I leave them - we'll call you later is what we hear as we leave.
Dh and I go back to BCV and try and plan what to do with our day - he votes to go back to MGM again - seems I have spent most of my time in this park this trip. We went over and walked around and watched the Beauty and Beast show and went to the backlot tour. Time for walking back to the hotel but dh wanted to go to ESPN on our way - sports! He has to check them everyday! Later in the day I decided I was going hotel hopping - another fave of mine - I'll let the car take me wherever - we park at the Poly to ride the monorail and check these resorts. While walking thru the lobby I spotted Wyland painting right there in the lobby!!! He's doing shows with his galleries so I decided to watch him bring his painting to life - that is incredible to watch! I was mesmerized and I don't think it was from the complimentary wine they were serving. Wyland even took the time to talk to me and autographed one of his books that I was looking at and decided to purchase for my sis. Never did get onto the monorail and see the other hotels because I just couldn't tear myself away from this new event that I've never had the privelege to watch. I enjoyed watching for a few hours when the kids called to see what we were doing. Dh wanted to head over to ESPN and watch hockey with dd and her hubby. I dropped them all off and went on my merry way. I went back to the room to change - the weather was cooling off and went to DD with Jen and her hubby. I purchased my Poly for my monorail set-up and the kids went on their way. They were hoping to catch up with my nephew who was going to Pleasure Island. I went back to BCV after walking around DD and doing some more shopping. It was time to pack up a bit - checking out of BCV tomorrow but going over to stay with the kids for 2 days at WLV!

I bet it was really fun watching an artist at work. Even more special to have him sign your book. Sounds like a relaxing day for you.

I totally understand why you watched Wyland for a few hours! To see him paint must be amazing!!!! Another celebrity sighting this trip!
