Blurry - Green apples- crispy and tart.
PBJ. We loved these! The shooters were such a good idea- lovely presentation. The rolls were so good. Fresh baked, soft and full of carb delicousness. We'd take some of these back to the room for late night snacks. The staff even gave us some for the trip home.
Brie and rasperry- sweet, creamy and crunchy. This is such a good combination. We ate so many of these and the crab rangoon there was no room for appetizers at dinner!
Crab Rangoon!!!
Cold seafood salad. Beh loved this. If you read my first post, you know I didn't fo near these because of the mayo! Papa tried this too. The guys both enjoyed these.
Captain's Grill
Bred and butter. Not the best we've had, but the butter was salted and I believe that makes "eh" bread, yummy!
Goddess Salad- Beh and the Papa had this. It's like a Cesar's Salad, but much more peppery. The croutons were plentiful, buttery and crunchy. The salad was fresh and a thumbs up from the fellas.
Beh had the rib-eye with mashed potatos. He was going have the salmon, but changed his mind and was very happy with his choice. The steak was a perfect medium and the potatos were buttery and chock full of crispy bacon and cheddar cheese.
I had the double cut porkchop with onions, and mushrooms over a cream of corn and spinach side. It was delicious. I picked out the mushrooms and onions, because, well, I'm a brat! The porkchop was grilled to a safe medium, and was seasoned with a fair amount of garlic and pepper. This with the sweet corn was yum!
Here my friends was what I think is one of the very best desserts I've had anywhere. It was a gourmet, Yodel or Swiss Roll. Those little chocolate ball things were like mini Crunch bars. The chocolate was semi-sweet, the mousse and whipped cream were light, airy, sweet. This was definitely made with a high quality cocoa bean. Now, for the record, this was MY dessert. Beh and the Baby were full. Well once they saw this bad boy, they wanted some and I let them have A taste. When I saw them coming in for more, I must admit, I pulled the dessert towards me and scarffed it down in about four bites. it really wasn't that big. Right...
Coming up later tonight- Mama Melrose Fantasmic!
