I wonder if it has anything to do with the possibility of Lasseter will indeed return and she's not cool with that?

I don't know what her position on that issue is...I'm just speculating...but if the "six month sabbatical" is a real thing he will be back in a couple of months.

It’s been about 5 months so if he is coming back it would be soon.

The wording of the article made it seem like she was leaving animation in general to become a philanthropist. Could just be my interpretation
