Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

Wow, how nice that you have 80 people coming to support you! (though maybe not so nice for your budget! ;) ) And yay for the Just Married buttons! :dancer: we bought the Just Married buttons on ebay as well, I think it was worth it. Lots of pixie dust. :wizard:

mmmm tacos for brunch, lol. i had tacos last night :rotfl:

lots of guests!! it'll be a great time :)

are you requesting any certain area at GF?

i don't think i'm going to put an advanced request in--in the case of pixie dust, lol... but when i get there, i'm thinking conch key is where i'd like to be.

6 weeks from today for you!! Yay!!

Girl I'm in the same boat! I probably would have bought buttons too if my friends didn't pick me up a pair last year!

How come I'm getting married a day before you and you already heard back from your DJ? Love that Disney consistency! :rotfl:

And we planned for 55 guests and are having 64 show up so I know how you feel. Not as much more as yours but still! At this point my parents have said to hell with the budget! :lmao:

Uggh, don't you hate that Disney "consistency"? I read that Sarah who is getting married the Sunday after us heard back from her DJ a while ago! So I was like...'where's mine?' :confused3 Hopefully you hear from one soon.
I know, I feel SO bad for my parents...they also gave up on the budget!:eek:

*Um, am I included in that 80 person guest count? :lmao:
*Don't you just love how the bridal party (especially the guys?!) loves to wait til the last minute? I think they just want to give us heart attacks!
*Woohoo, marriage license!
*Tacos first thing in the morning? Interesting choice... but, you know, tacos are better than no food at all, right?!
*You're SO close. Tomorrow is October, so as of TOMORROW, you will be getting married next month!!!

Yes! I got another heart attack from a groomsman today, but I'll save that for another day. Grrr. I've been taking advantage of October and saying, "it's next month!" all the time now! I think I'm driving people nuts. :rotfl:

LOL, you are right--it's not so budget friendly, but I am excited for all the guests! :cool1: I just got the married buttons in the mail today and they are so pretty. I can't wait to wear them! :wizard:

I love tacos...for dinner. We will see! :rolleyes1
I really wanted to try online check in for the first time, but I am like you, thinking of possible pixie dust! I wonder if we'll be neighbors!

Just dropping in to say tomorrow I have my first dress fitting!!! I was supposed to go about a month ago, but couldn't because I was still in PA. I'm SO excited to try everything on (accessories included) to get the whole feel, even though I'll probably be swimming in it. I'm gonna try to take pictures, hopefully I'll be photogenic tomorrow!

Hello, everyone!

I had my first fitting today and it was so much fun! I loved getting a chance to play dress up! ;) This was my first time seeing my wedding gown since last October, so I was a little nervous (mainly about how it'd fit), but it's just perfect. It hardly needs any alterations up top, but since I'm so short they have to take it up a good foot or so!
I put on my dress and then the seamstress went straight to work! She started out by CUTTING out layers of tulle (I didn't remember there being so many layers in the sample), but it honestly made me a little nervous. After literally 30 minutes of tulle-cutting, she explained that they made it with tulle under the train and when I would go to bustle it would be too large and would stick out, so she worked her magic. :wizard: She pinned around the hemline and then she worked on the bustle. I absolutely adore the way she did the bustle! I asked her to take a couple pictures so my mom could see (but you all know it's really for the DISboards :rotfl:) Here's some pictures of me in my dress! :goodvibes

I go back on October 18th to have my second fitting and then I get to pick my dress up on November 3rd! :woohoo: I was on cloud nine after I left the bridal shop and for the 5 minute drive home :cloud9: UNTIL...
I got out of my car to walk into my apartment when I was attacked by a dog that was passing by. It tore open my left hand and was burning :sad1: The owner just kept walking (probably didn't even know it bit me, she didn't even say anything...what a bum) and I ran into the house in hysterics. I called Animal Control and then went to the ER. A couple hours and 6 shots later, I'm good. :thumbsup2 A little numb / sore in places, but I'm good. I'm just glad it wasn't more serious than it could have been. I swear, I'm having a string of bad luck lately! At least the pictures of me in my wedding dress make me feel better!!! :goodvibes

Danielle!!! I am so sorry to hear about that dog attacking you, and that DUMB owner for not doing anything! HOW RUDE!! But on the flipside, you look GORGEOUS in the dress! Its perfect and the bustle really looks great! How exciting! Just a few short weeks left!! :cool1::cool1:

Im going for my 2nd fitting on Friday...they ripped out the back of my dress...hahah im very excited to see it!

Hope your hand gets better, lots of pixie dust and hugs your way, girl!

Some peoples children eh? I've worked as a dog trainer for the past 8 years, and can honestly tell you people are CLUELESS about their dogs, and chances are this person has said "he was just playing" in their head in order to slough off any responsibility for the incident. The stories I could tell you about some of the clients I've had over the years with bite histories.... Follow up with Animal Control on this, because this probably isn't the first and statistically is unlikely to be the last time this happens. This time it was your hand, next time it could be a childs face. Ugh I'm absolutely LIVID about this! SO sorry it happened to you, but good for you for keeping your head about you and informing the proper people. I'd also maybe contact by-law about it if the dog was off leash as many areas have "dog at large" laws and the fines for having a unleashed dog are often way higher than the fines for having a dog that bites someone..... sad but true.

My dog says on behalf of doggies everywhere, she apologizes for the embarrassing behaviour and bad name that dog has given them. She also sends licks and cuddles and two paws up for your gorgeous wedding dress!

Aw so sorry about that dog bite! That's absolutely ridiculous that the owner didn't do anything! I had something similar happen when I was quite young and have been a bit frightened of dogs ever since. Unfortunate because there are many that are friendly and cuddly, but I'd rather stick with my cats!

On the plus side your look absolutely gorgeous in your dress!! :goodvibes

Thanks, Sarah! I'm still kinda in shock about it...my hand is doing better today though. The wounds are closed, but I can already tell I'm going to have 2 very bad scars. :sad2: Thanks, about the dress! I'm so excited to wear it! We are so close!

Thank you--The bustle is now one of my favorite features on the dress now! It just flows so nicely.

Yes, I've left my info with Animal Control, but they told me there's nothing they could really do. :confused3 The dog (shepherd-like dog?) was on a leash, it was in a headcollar leash and when it jumped on me, then owner pulled back and kept walking. I didn't even really realize it had gotten me until I rolled up my sleeve.

And thanks back to your puppy! I am glad there are still good pups and I'm glad she likes my dress! :)

I hear ya, I'm a cat person, but try to love dogs...just doesn't happen as easily.

Hey, fellow Danielle! I just read your whole PJ and I am totally in love with everything about your wedding! :lovestruc You and your fiancé are just so adorable and your special day is going to be so magical!

You and your dress are gorgeous! I'm so glad your fitting went well...except for the dog attack afterwards! Jeez, I'm so glad you are all right. I'm totally a cat person as well and I just don't to like dogs as much. I was bitten by a shepherd mix a few years ago (on my face!) and while I'm not afraid of dogs, I just don't trust them. I hope the next few weeks until the wedding go smoothly and that your bad luck streak is up!

Wow! You're dress is gorgeous!

Thanks, Andrea! :goodvibes

AARRGGG I'm getting so excited for you!!

Thank you so much!

Well, everyone...We're finally 1 month away! :yay: I really cannot believe it. I am so excited to get to Disney World!

So, a couple new things, good and bad:

-One of our groomsmen bailed on us. It was the one I've had a feeling about the whole time, so it really didn't surprise me, I just didn't appreciate the way he handled it. He ended up telling his roomies and other groomsmen 2 days before he actually told me, scratch that...texted me. So, he's OUT and we've moved people around and now we have a new groomsman and usher.

-I got a freakout call the other day from one of my future sister-in-laws. I answered the phone and she was crying and yelling at me about how expensive the bridesmaid shoes are and how she doesn't have any money right now. (They are under $40...Give me a break.) I looked at Chris and did one of these > :scared1: The call dropped and I started to rant to Chris. I just couldn't understand why she was freaking out over a pair of shoes, especially when that's the only thing we asked the girls to get themselves since we bought their dresses and jewelry! Well, I ended up seeing her the next day, and she explained she was just stressed and had bought the shoes anyways. I don't need anymore freakouts, people!!!

-A couple of extended family dropped from our guest list, which is fine since I didn't really know them...but now I have to do the seating chart and half of the escort cards over again...Boo.

-Chris still hasn't found a ring. I'm kinda embarrassed to even type that to you all, but It's also really frustrating me. I thought I was picky, but he's gone through so many different styles and he can't make up his mind! (First he wanted carbon fiber, then he wanted wood, then he wanted 2-tone gold, then he wanted a hammered texture...etc.) I told him he's gonna have to just settle and pick something fast. I felt like a bum, but he can't be doing this to me either!

-I bought our parents Christmas ornaments to give out at the rehearsal brunch. I hope they like them!
The heart on heart for my parents:

And the star on heart for Chris' parents:

The back of the ornaments have our names engraved with our wedding date:

I like them so much, I think I'm gonna have to order one for ourselves!

Well, I think I'm gonna stop here and save the rest for another post. I pulled out the BIG suitcase today and stuck it in the corner...You all know what that means!!! :wizard: I'm gonna slowly just start putting things together, so I don't forget. :bride:
