Danielle & Chris: 11-11-11 WP/ADH/DP Wedding PJ/TR - Complete *(1 Year Anniversary)

So, this past week has been a pretty good one. I had a couple days off in a row, so I got to do nothing but wedding plans! :goodvibes

-I made the collages, which most of you have already seen on the previous page, to make sure my vision is cohesive enough for myself.
-I found the bridesmaid and groomsmen's gifts...now just have to order them!
-I made the templates/designs for the reception placecards...just have to buy paper and print!
-5 out of the 7 bridesmaids have sent in their measurements for the dresses! (I had none before this weekend!)
-I GOT MY SHOES/"SOMETHING BLUE"! AND THEY FIT!!!

-Also, the fantastic DISboarder, NickandLarisa aka Larisa of Moya Lara: Exquisite Wedding Invitations made my invitation mockup and sent me the preview! IT'S GORGEOUS!!!! :flower3::upsidedow I am so excited! I just kinda left everything up to her, except I told her I wanted it to be sorta Art Deco-ish and have our colors. Well, her approach was pretty neat and combined Art Nouveau and Art Deco, which makes it look soft and perfect for a wedding invitation. Just to give you an idea how unique it's going to be...THIS IS NOT OUR ACTUAL INVITE:

That is the way it is going to open and it's that fun rectangular format. Can't wait to see the finished product!
What was also cool is I saw her status update on Facebook and it was about me and Chris! :rotfl:

I'm such a facebook junkie :surfweb: ohhhhhhh, it's bad. But I still thought that was pretty neat. ;)

But the icing that really topped the cake...: MY DRESS CAME IN!!! They didn't show it to me, because it had just arrived today  and they have to do an inspection, but WOW:woohoo: that was so fast! I can't wait to go back in and try it on!!! :lovestruc

:tigger: TTFN -Ta Ta For Now!!! :tigger:

Love the shoes and the invites!!

P.S. I'm addicted to facebook as well. That's where DF and I met...well met again...haha!

I love the teal and brown, they compliment each other so well!!! OMG the men are wearing fedoras! I thought about using those for the guys, though I am still debating. There is a costume shop in town and every time I go I always eye them. I really dig your bridesmaid collage is absolutely breathtaking :) You are right on target with your theme. I love, love, love everything!

I just read your PJ from beginning to end and I have to say I love everything so far. Your dress is so beautiful!! I love your color scheme. My color scheme is sage, orange, and silver and people always say orange really?? Just wait and see I tell them. I can't wait to see what else you are coming up with.

I love your wedding colors!!

Thank you so much! I have such a soft spot for them :goodvibes

I love the vision of fedoras! I'm still trying to find ones that are a little cheaper than what I found. Thank you so much for the compliments!

So we finally booked our hotel stay for our planning session in May! It's CONFIRMED we will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge for 3 nights and I couldn't be more excited!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

And I finally finished planning our schedule during those few days..with all dining reservations done and vendors confirmed!

Looks like it's going to be a busy couple of days, but it will be so fun :goodvibes

Also, I had been chatting with some of my bridal party and friends this week. They are really concerned about saving up money for the trip. :guilty: So I tried really hard to ease their minds and I made a blog about "planning and budgeting for Disney" and I showed them how much everything would approximately cost. They were all very appreciative and I think they are all thinking it's more feasible now.

Also, the best news I think I've gotten--My friend from Germany is planning on coming to the wedding! I didn't think she would be able to because of the amount of money and travel, but it sounds like she's in! :yay:

TTFN :tigger:

I've been talking to my parents the past two days and we've decided to fly down to Disney for one day to celebrate my nieces' 5th birthday! :wizard:
(I'm leaving in 25 days! :woohoo:)

We made Cinderella's Royal Table dinner reservations, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique reservation and we're gonna spend the day at the Magic Kingdom.

I'm hoping I can find Rapunzel and Flynn and get an autograph from them  and also ride the Snow White ride before it goes bye-bye :guilty: and find some of those "just married" buttons. :rolleyes1:headache:

:flower3: wooo!!!

we'll be at kidani village may 7-14.... we may bump into you!! i checked my food ressies and i'm at narcoossee's the night you're at cali grill :(

I havent caught up in a while..a long while. Everything looks amazing! Time is flying so fast now I cant believe it!!

Question: How did you get your Disney STD's? No one even asked or mentioned them to me? I would have loved to send those out.. :sad1:

Oh! And I'm happy to share that I made my first official purchase towards our wedding! I ever-so-sneakily bought 3 of the DFTW David Tutera flower girl cones on sale from the Disney Store. Thank goodness they were only $9.99--that's a steal!!! :thumbsup2 Now if I can only find the matching pillow that is discontinued.... :headache:

They are even prettier than I imagined! I can't wait for my flower girls to see them!

My brother asked his daughter, my niece (now 4 years old! holy cow!) if she wanted to be a flower girl. She asked what a flower girl entailed...and if she got to "throw flowers all over the place" :rotfl: This is going to be good!

:woohoo: what a great surprise!!!

I know! It'll be a birthday she'll never forget! Can't wait! :)

Oh wow! I feel like all our trips overlap at the same time! That's too funny. Perhaps you can bombard my engagement shoot at the GF.

I hear ya, can't wait for the warm weather!!! :cool1:

Glad you caught up! :cutie: I know, 9 months now! Where is time going?!

And about the STDs, I actually was just told by my consultant that they were going to be sent. I just got an email one day saying, "please make a list of everyone's addresses so we can send out STDs for you!" and then there was an attachment of what they looked like. :confused3

Thank you for thinking of me! I did use ebay and eventually found the pillow!

I finally finished a DIY project! :rotfl:

I kept starting new ones and never finished previously started ones.

So without further ado, my unity candle set/holder!

unitycandle.jpg

The candle holder came from the Disney Store, but it only held pillar candles. So I went out and bought the smallest taper holders I could find. (This was actually really hard!) The taper holders were glass so I had to E-6000 them onto the candle bases. Then the last step was I primed and spray painted the whole thing chocolate brown to match our colors.

This is going to be displayed at the alter in the wedding pavilion during our ceremony. I'm going to request some fresh orange floral to be put in the nooks of the candle holder to make it stand out more.

Onto the next project!

PS. GOOOOOO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!

That looks fab! You did a great job! It will look great with the orange flowers too!

I LOVE the unity candle!! It's looks wonderful!! We weren't going to do a unity candle but after seeing yours, I'm considering it now :)

Danielle, that unity candle holder is gorgeous!!! You did a great job! I can't wait to see your next project!!

Love, love, love your unity candle!! My dh is sitting next to me on the couch and saw it over my shoulder, and he said, "WOW! That's obviously custom and probably cost a pretty penny!" :thumbsup2
