now.....i know i'm not a huge Joey fan......but really......Ian should have been in the bottom with Billy Ray. this is just stupid now. after that whole "fiasco" with the judges votes yesterday, i'm wondering about the voting process now.

Ian seems to be trying really hard, but he's not even close to the same level as the other dancers. Apollo, Joey and Laila should be the top 3, but I'm afraid Ian and Cheryl might get the popularity votes.

Yep! And I am one of them! I am VERY happy Ian was not in the bottom two. I do not like Joey that much. It's like the annoying class clown that tries too hard to be funny, and just sometimes isn't.
But personalities aside, I really think the judges are too hard on Ian. But that is my opinion.

Joey might be slightly better than Ian, but not much. And I think Ian just looks better dancing. There's just something about Joey that doesn't appeal to me at all. So I'm happy that he was in the bottom two instead of Ian. I don't think Ian or Joey will make it to the top two though. I think it will be Apolo vs. Laila.

I agree with you 100% I think that Joey will be going home next week because all of the people that voted for billy Ray are either going to vote for Ian because he is still getting picked on or they are going to vote for Apollo because they think he is going to win anyway...the dance off will be between apollo, Laila and Ian.....

I didn't catch it, but I went back and saw it. Another comment I noticed was "I can't wait to say good bye to someone each week so that I'm left on the stage with my trophy." I usually fast forward through all the commentary on the show so I don't know if these comments are typical to her or not. But, she was rubbing me the wrong way tonight. I don't think she'll be getting any of my votes.

Whew! I'm glad it was Billy Ray so now I can tell my BRC story. It's even Disney related .

Almost everyone knows BRC's first big hit "Achy Breaky Heart". I was a big country and western dancer when it came out and I heard that song more times than I can count. We even danced a special line dance to the song as was popular back then. Fast forward to 2000 and my family is visiting Tokyo Disneyland. Most of the shows are in Japanese and the Country Bear Jamboree was no exception. The show was quite a bit different from the WDW show, however. The highlight (for us, at least) was a bunch of familiar animitronic bears singing "Achy Breaky Heart" in Japanese. The Japanese tourists were clapping along and my husband and I were almost doubled over in laughter. Thank you, Billy Ray! It was one of the best moments on my entire trip!

While I really did think that Bruno didn't mean to actually say that Billy Ray's dancing was crap, he was still telling the truth.

I was happy to see him finally go tonight.

While I like Ian, he should be the next one to go. Notice how everyone was shocked that Joey ended up in the bottom two? So was I.

Yes, he's a goofball. But he is still a better dancer than Ian. And yes, technically, he is much better.
Ian, especially in the slower dances, is still very still and unappealing to watch dancing. If he loosened up like he did last week, he'd be much better off.

I was not home to tonight, so I could not post. But I did watch the show. I could not believe that Joey was in the bottom 2! I thought it would be Ian & BRC. I think Joey was a little surprised himself. When they announced that Apolo & Juliane were safe, you could see Apolo say "who did they say" He looked frantic there for a moment.

I am glad to see BRC go. I know he gave it his best, but it really just was not good. I can't wait for next weeks show!

I think the top 3 will be Apolo, Joey, & Lalia.

Well I voted like crazy for Ian last night. I can't stand Joey and his smarmy, smug, mug. His partner even said "Joey's strategy is just to coast to the finals." - gee, just assume you'll get to the finals, Mr. Got This In the Bag.

He deserved to be taken down a peg (or three). Unfortunately, he probably will outlast Ian next week, and I'll be forced to watch him ham his way through three dances in the finale. But I'll do everything possible to keep him from winning.

I completely disagree. How can her comments be taken as confidence and Joey's as cockiness? Personally I think the show edited Joey poorly and that why they had him address confidence versus cockiness. What ABC thought might be funny came across as cocky, so they are trying to fix it. They have done the same thing in the past with Samatha's questions.

Joey is working just as hard as the others. He looked seriously worried while he was in the bottom 2; he did not have the look of someone who 'has it in the bag'.

Those with confidence and skill should rise to the top and to me, those three are Apolo, Joey and Laila.


Tonight's Jimmy Kimmel Live schtick wasn't funny. I can't believe they got Master P to come back though! And what was up with the cameras while Nelly Furtado was singing? I don't understand why they didn't show more of the dancers.

I'll take this a step farther - think about the self-promotion a boxer has to do before a fight, the cocky "you're going down" attitude they have to portray. Her father was a master at it. This is how she knows to compete, so I think that's where the comments are coming from; she's even toned them down from the normal ring talk.
