Laurie I'm leaning towards maybe Derek or Mark, maybe even Gleb.

WHY can't they EVER pair Emma with someone who may have a shred of a chance? Ughhhh I posted earlier that can she PLEASE have a partner over 18 and under 50 Other than that kid who was a youtube "star" , who has she been given half a chance with?

Derek gets Marilu Henner...yep, pretty sure she requested him or no deal.

Yay!!! I love Cheryl. Just as people say Derek really knows how to choreograph to his partner's strengths, so does Cheryl. If she gets a good partner, she will give Derek & Val & Maks a run for the money.

I did retail for a while, I for sure agree, it is not for the faint of heart and it is definitely deserving of at least 2 drinks!

I never watched when Cheryl was on, but I was thinking him and Witney would make a bad combo so that has got to be better

Usually my days aren't bad but today I had some doozies!

Cheryl is so good, much better then Witney. I was afraid him and Witney together would be two not of the brightest people together

Yes, Witney's sweet, but she's not the brightest.

They must have promised Cheryl a great star. When she was interviewed as to why she was leaving DWTS a couple seasons ago, she had said something to the effect that there was no upward mobility for her. All she could do on that show was dance. I took that to possibly mean that the producers were no longer going to give her a star who may be able to WIN. (She had won with Drew Lackey years before.)

Tony, in an interview once said that the producers once said to him that, "Some stars are contenders [meaning they have the ability to win] and some are merely participants." [They make up the rest of the stars needed to fill out the show.] Tony obviously only got "participants" until he had Melissa for the All Stars show, and he won. So, he always had the capability to win, IF he was given a great partner.

Same with Maks. When he gave his speech after winning with Meryl, he pointed out how he'd been on the show for 17 seasons. And that when he was given a great star, he too, always had the capability to win. But he had become disheartened, previous to Meryl, as he didn't think he'd ever have that chance. And he was leaving the show on a high note, rather than staying, as he knew he'd just be given participants again.

I think it's Witney. Until they could lock down Cheryl, they had to keep Witney. If they have Lochte and are really willing to help him rehabilitate his reputation, they need someone really, really good. Someone who can show him at his best and possibly win, and that's Cheryl.


If Mark wasn't dancing this season, like Tony, he would have announced it earlier, himself, to make it not seem like they didn't choose him. His fan base, especially with the younger demographic, is too large for DWTS to not want him on the show.

JoJo can't dance very well. So she won't be on the show long. So give her a pro that doesn't need to be on long. But, she's an ABC star, so they definitely want her on.

That's my reasoning.

Ahh glad I asked I will definitely have to watch!

And yeah bed rest is no fun. I got trampled by a horse (occupational hazard) and the associated interal injuries so I've been laying around for going on 3 weeks now...they told me I'm lucky that I'm young and healthy at least!
