Over 12 weeks, the stars and their professional partners will battle it out for viewer votes and the chance to be crowned 2011 champion. Skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean return as mentors to put the pairs through their paces, and this year the challenges will be tougher than ever. Eight couples perform on today's show, but only six will go through to the main competition. Phone lines open after the show for viewers to vote for their favourites to stay in the running.
