Hi, nanners!

Sorry I haven't been around much, this summer has been busier than I thought. Just having a little DIS time on a lazy Sunday morning is quite the treat.

Nemo went to a vacation bible school last week at a different church and absolutely loved it. A lot of his friends go, you do not have to be members to attend and it's donation based. I was very impressed with what they did with the kids.

Squirt will be 3 on Friday. There's a part of me that very obviously knows I have a toddler in the house and a part of me that cannot believe he'll be three when it seems like he was just a baby.

Speaking of babies, my SIL had her baby boy a week ago Thursday. Very sweet little guy. My boys were so excited since it was their first boy cousin (I have four nieces).

That's pretty much what's going on in the TK household right now. I'm getting really excited for our upcoming trip and hope to start working on our MNSSHP costumes soon! :goodvibes

Awwww 3!

Congrats on the new little boy. How exciting to have a boy cousin after 4 girls.

WoooHoooo Trip coming up!

Hi all. I have not been on much b/c I have been having computer trouble and now my computer is dead. I'm on an old laptop my husband got from work, but it's SLOW. I can't even view videos on this thing. Sometimes it's so slow, trying to scroll down fb is too frustrating to deal with.

Ugh! I hope you get your computer fixed soon.

Kimmar, I so thought of you the other day. I was in Yankee Candle and no joke, they had a bacon scented one. And yes. It smelled like bacon. Made me wonder if you would like a whole case full. ;)

So the big day is tomorrow! Tonight we're having dinner with my dad and nana so very exciting. Nemo and I are working on a race car cake, if I can get some pictures posted tomorrow, I will. :goodvibes

The hard drive is going on the computer so it won't be getting fixed. The guy that works on them also builds and sells computers. We will get one from him b/c it's less expensive than purchasing one at the store.

I would love to see pics of that cake.

3! I can't believe it. Time goes by so fast. I want to see pics of your costume again this year. I'm trying to figure out what to do for matching t-shirts for our Thanksgiving cruise.

It's mid 40's here right now. Let's average out the temperatures and it could be perfect then! :rotfl:

Great plan! Though I'm not too bothered by the heat. I did choose to live in Florida. Heat and humidity go with the sunshine and Disney World.

Yes, she has learned what it's like to be broke, waiting for the next paycheck and not have enough food. :rotfl2: She came over one night last week to eat supper with us and ask to bring a little food home to hold her off for a few days until she was paid. Oh and her dog was out of food too. She also came wanting a meal so I sent some dog food home with her as well. It sure is different with her out of the house.

Did she leave the ferrets with you or does she have to pay to take care of those too?

It's awesome when you know someone who can build one. Nana and I used to go to computer shows (think like at an expo center) and have mine built because it was far cheaper than buying them in the store.

I would love to see pics of that cake.

I will try to get them on later today! Squirt's got a doctor's appointment at 1100 and I think our morning is going to be a bit busy. :goodvibes

For sure! MJS's costume should be awesome. I'm really excited. Well, they all will, but I'll wait until I have pics to talk more about it. :teeth:

She took her dog, Heidi and her ferret, Sawyer. I now have 2 ferrets of my own so there were 3 in the house. I didn't plan on bringing a 3rd ferret in my home, but this poor guy needed special care and was a boney skeleton. I could not resist bringing him home and taking care of him. He was such a skeleton, it turned my stomach to hold him. He is now a big fat sausage and the largest ferret.

....what's the point of a good smell without the goods to eat as well? :confused3 (:rotfl: l

I bet even fat he can still sneak under the smallest spaces. And steal the strangest stuff.

Good point.

SadieDog, the ferret rescuer! That's so nice. :goodvibes I love hearing when a pet is well taken care of.

See, that's what I thought. :lmao: I ended up not purchasing many of the food scented candles because I thought, "well I can just make that at home and have that smell."

Thank you. :goodvibes To nurse him back to health, I had to make him a special ferret soup of pumpkin and jar chicken baby food. I'm a sucker for old, sick or injured. My daughter knew once I saw him, I would take him home. I couldn't help myself. For 2 days I said no I was not going in to look at him. I caved by day 3.

Aw. You are so sweet!

My Nana rescued a dog once, poor little thing. He'd been abandoned and surviving on cat food (there were two cats with him as well) and lord knows barely at that. He was practically skin and bones when she got him, and so old we had no idea how long he'd really last. But she gave him the best possible life for a few years and he adored her. Followed her everywhere, and was so tiny (tiny toy poodle) that he used to curl up on top of her chest and go to sleep while she watched tv.

Takes a special person to take care of a hurt animal, believe me. :goodvibes

Awww what a great story.

And, in the end, "vacation" trumps "baked goods" any day during the long cold winter. :rolleyes1

Dang skippy!!!! :lmao:

:faint: Just when you think life is going to settle down to a period of inactivity, it has a way of coming along and kick-startling you along.

Don't I know it! I'm forcing myself to stay at home and do nothing today...with the exception of a library program this evening, there's nothing on our agenda. I got a mid week clean of the house done, and have had some much needed chill out time.

No such luck for me. :(

The world as we know it folks has ended. :sad2::sad:

My DD phone has died. She is on her father's plan(the evil exDH). She got the phone in November/December last year and has another year plus on the two year plan.
