Hi everyone. Some changes in my household. My daughter turned 22 July 1st and the next day, she found an apt and moved out. The apt is tiny, but cute. She has a bed, but no furniture. That's ok, she has to start somewhere. They allowed her to take her dog and ferret. The apt is on the outskirts of the 'city' and in a wooded area and has a big back yard. It's also close to her work. With her new job she does customer service/sales for a major telecommunications co. She still grooms on the side. I just hope she can handle paying all the bills. It won't be easy.

Congrats to your DD! That is a big step. I hope this helps her grow up and learn responsibility.

Congrats to your DD on self-independence.

Commiserations to you - must be hard to let go of a child.

hope everyone had a great weekend.

It was over all too soon. We went to Hollywood Studios and Epcot on Friday then picked up DD13 from Sea World camp on Saturday. We were able to visit Sea World for $25 per person (free for DD) that day. We hadn't been in years, our youngest had never been. It was a lot of fun but so hot! I'd love to go back when the weather is a bit better. Though I'm not sure I want to pay full price. The lines there are all outside. Disney sure knows how to do lines right.

Sounds like fun at Sea World....and what a price! :thumbsup2

I can't believe the week is already half way done! This weekend will not be as fun as last week, but I'm hoping for a good pool weekend.

Hi, nanners!

Sorry I haven't been around much, this summer has been busier than I thought. Just having a little DIS time on a lazy Sunday morning is quite the treat.

Nemo went to a vacation bible school last week at a different church and absolutely loved it. A lot of his friends go, you do not have to be members to attend and it's donation based. I was very impressed with what they did with the kids.

Squirt will be 3 on Friday. There's a part of me that very obviously knows I have a toddler in the house and a part of me that cannot believe he'll be three when it seems like he was just a baby.

Speaking of babies, my SIL had her baby boy a week ago Thursday. Very sweet little guy. My boys were so excited since it was their first boy cousin (I have four nieces).

That's pretty much what's going on in the TK household right now. I'm getting really excited for our upcoming trip and hope to start working on our MNSSHP costumes soon! :goodvibes

Kat - Congrats on your nephew.

Winter hibernation is happening here. It's a funny season. Unseasonally warm for winter but then it gets cold and wet. Aside from that, life is just about work, school, weekends and activities.

Keep cool everyone.

It will never stop being funny to me thinking of you in winter hibernation and us sweating it out. I live in the northeastern part of the U.S. and we've had unseasonably warm weather the past week. 98+ degrees, some days felt like it's over 100. And without the benefit of a pretty castle and Dole Whips. ;)

It's mid 40's here right now. Let's average out the temperatures and it could be perfect then! :rotfl:

I think the average of the two sounds great! We'd be at a nice 70ish degrees then.

Yes, she has learned what it's like to be broke, waiting for the next paycheck and not have enough food. :rotfl2: She came over one night last week to eat supper with us and ask to bring a little food home to hold her off for a few days until she was paid. Oh and her dog was out of food too. She also came wanting a meal so I sent some dog food home with her as well. It sure is different with her out of the house.
