The world as we know it folks has ended.

My DD phone has died. She is on her father's plan(the evil exDH). She got the phone in November/December last year and has another year plus on the two year plan.

I learned VERY quickly with my teenager to get the full-replacement warranty!!! It's an extra $6/mo. Totally worth it.

Teenagers and phones. I bet that new Samsung that can get washed will be popular with parents who hate replacing broken cell phones. I try to get my DD to keep the Otter box on her phone because she will not like the replacement.

I saw that phone advertisement on tv and thought the same thing. I keep thinking how nice it would be to have a smart phone. I don't go online with mine.

My DD7 asked when she will get a cell phone. I told her not any time soon! Her sister got one at 10 because she stayed after school for book club and needed to call me to tell her when to get her. So when she has a need, we will get her one.

DS16 (the oldest) got his first cell when we were at the camp, mostly so he could stay in touch with friends back here. Once we moved back two years ago, the other two got them as well, since now they were doing the after-school bit as well, and also just going into town with friends. Now it's just how our family rolls!

This summer has been crazy busy. I feel like we have been going nonstop for weeks now. It's good but also a little exhausting. We don't have anything on the agenda next week and I'm thinking at least one pajama / movie day is in order.

I'm hoping MJS and I can take the boys to see Planes this weekend. We've got some gift cards that we need to use up since our theater has changed hands and is only honoring them through the end of August.

Sorry I haven't been on here much. Summer is flying by, a little too fast for my taste. Trying to soak up as much time with the boys as I can while it lasts!

Totally understandable. I don't make it on here as much either. I guess I could check on my phone more often while at work.

I interviewed this week for the supervisor position that I had already been offered but then had to interview for. Yes, I do work in government. I had been the only one to apply for the manager position, so my boss figured when it was downgraded to supervisor I could be hired since I had already applied. But HR made them open it up to all current employees (none of which wanted the job when it paid twice as much, yet all but one acted like they wanted it once they suspected I would get it. Men.) Two backed out the last minute, so now it's down to just me and one other person. The funny thing is, the budget is already turned in for next year... with the salary I was told in the line item (the other guy already makes more than that.) Again, government. I can't talk about it on FB because I'm friends with people I work with on there. So thanks for letting me vent.

I hate it when that happens in a workplace. Mean, petty, spiteful people that should just be happy for their colleagues instead of the so dog-eat-dog mentality that the workplace encourages.
