Any idea what you will try getting now?

The boys' stroller just arrived today, I picked it up at Walmart (site to store shipping) but the boys are visiting my mom until Wed, so when I pick them up I might try it at the mall. If I don't like it, it will go back and I will get the Combi.

all of Claire's newest pictures are great (as always)...so is so photogenic; and happy to hear she is enjoying school...my fear next year with Ashton.

Love all the recaps from trips past; I really need to copy my mom's pictures from our trips of the past.

So sorry to hear of Skip's constant pain...Danny has bursitisis of the shoulder and the steroid injections make a big difference. But, before his hip replacement he was told he had bursitisis of the hip; the inj did nothing and probably help quicken his need for the replacement (although he was really close before that). There is a nerve in the area that if the ortho pinced can cause horrible pain and really make it hard to walk. Danny's ortho warned us about this before the surgery.

Also, my dad gets siatica (in the back area) the pain is so bad he can not walk!

I hope he can find someone to figure out his problem soon and put his pain to rest.

I'm sure there is more I wanted to comment on but my brain is now starting to shut down...so till later...night

Well, yeah, if I'm spending a lot of money I better be REALLY happy!!! Get the one you know you like! And proudly walk that stroller around Disney and wear a shirt that says you are PROUD of your stroller!!

Exactly! I am so torn now. I just hate to spend that kind of money and not have something last. I think I'll have to test drive the Maclaren quest again.

That booty thing on Ebay is hilarious!

And I love getting a new phone, it's so fun to play with!

I think the quest. But now I'm trying to decide if I should get it on ebay for 70-90 dollars cheaper than the store or not. They are older models (2008) and I assume they are the same. The lady at BRU told me the difference was basically different colors each season. I think the Combi had a lower weight limit, when I was looking. I know I tried one as well, and the Maclaren was hands down better.

I think they have 1 that goes to 65, but it is alot more as well...go figure.

Thanks for joining Connie. As we thought, Skips hip Dr never even called yesterday. I can't beleive how slow this office is. This ordeal has been a big pain in my butt. LOL! I told him to give a call today and see. They will say they haven't gotten the results yet, but we know thats a lie. They always seem to get their results about 4-5 days later than all other offices....whatever.. LOL!

I gave the new stroller a try this afternoon. I took Claire out in in while I walked down the road for a mile. I am taking it back. It just didn't have a good feel. It felt like I was pushing all 52 lbs of her for one. She complained the seat wasn't feeling good, and she said it wasn't wide enough. But I think those problems will be with any stroller. She also complained it wasn't pink. LOL!
But I really didn't like how it turned, and I just wasn't over all happy. I expected it to be pretty easy to push her since the weight max is 70 lbs. And for that mount of money, I think I should be happy.

Oh no ! Glad you got to try it out . I really think you should get the Maclaren , I know that it says up to 50 some pounds but I know it can hold over that & still be comfy . DBFF has a brown & pink one for her daughter who is very close in weight and it does just fine , her older daughter also rides it and she weighs more than Claire . Maclaren is just soo durable , lightweight and easy to push Good luck on your hunt !

Yeah, it's so confusing. I wish thre were more stores around here with different brands to test drive, but Babies R Us is pretty much it with selection. I'm pretty sure I'm goona go with the Quest now. But I have to decide if I want to get a 2008 version off ebay for 130, or go with the 200 at the store thats new. Probably ebay!

The droid I got was Nextels top of the line. Spring owns nextel, but they have different phones. Nextel has direct connect, so their phones are different and include that feature on them. I think my Droid is the 1.5 version, but the newer ones are 2.2, I believe. I read that it has to do with the direct connect feature. They can't add as much to the phone because it for some technical reason. But for me it's great. The one thing I don't like, is that if I use the phone alot...playing around, the battery dies fast. I have to charge every 24 hours.

We took it back. I played around at the store and ended up buying the newest version of the Quest. Even though they say they are all the same. the new one seemed to push better. We got home and did a test drive and it's alot better than the other. So I'm happy with the purchase, though I wish I would've actually bought it back in 2007 when I bought a small stroller for Disney. That stroller has lasted 3 trips, but I should've listened to the suggestions given to me back then and went for the gusto them.

You WILL be charging that phone every day. More if you are using it for internet, pictures, facebook etc.... keep in mind there are settings that can help you improve battery life (like not syncing weather or FB every 30 minutes) These new phones are great but much different from 'dumb' phones that could be off the charger for 3-4 days.

I have long hair and I'm cutting it short before our next trip I just don't want to mess with it anymore. By the way my son will be 7 when we go to disney in Oct. and we will be bringing a stroller, we are at the parks from about 11:00am till park closing at emh which is sometimes 1:00 or 2:00am and when he gets tired or is just ready to go to sleep for the night he can sleep in the stroller and we can keep going to the end and get all the time we can in the parks!

Gotta Love Mom ....Mil not so much!

Today I had to take my mom for a colonoscopy. Long story short, she had very bad diverticulitus and a twisted colon years ago and had part of her colon removed. She is starting to have pains again, so they have been doing tests on her. It came out A-OK, all is good! No signs of anything wrong!

Afterwards mom was starviong so we went to IHOP for breakfast. Mom was in such a good mood that she decided she should take me to get some new clothes, since I have the best dressed DD around, and never buy anything for myself...pretty much look like a bum. LOL!
So she bought me 3 pairs of jeans, 6 tops and 4 pairs of shoes. My shoes are always a sore spot with her. I mostly buy mens shoes because my feet are so big and wide. She thinks they look terrible, but I usually buy ones that are unisex looking, or mainly tennis shoes. So she was so excited I got some girly looking shoes. On pair may make it to Disney!

She also mentioned that when she gets her inheritance (my great Uncle did last Spring, and my mom, (her 2 sisters,her and a great Aunt are all getting a portion of $300,000.) she may give me $1000 towards the Disney trip. But we have no clue how long it will take to get the money as he lived in Cananda, so there is alot of red tape to get through, so it may be too late by the time she gets it.

So that was a nice and exciting morning that started at 5:20 AM for me!

I came home, took a nap before picking Claire up from School, then ran over to MIL's to give her the news about my mom. I also told her about my new clothes and she was kind of weird about it. Like she was jealous. Then she went on about my new phone and the Nextel bil lthat just came. The phone was charged, but the texting charges for those premioum texting wasn;t taken off. So she was just going a bit crazy about it....even though they have been on there for almost a year, and she never said a word before. Then she went on and on about how she should be part of our package. Skip told me no before, so there is nothing I can do. And then she went on about how she needs a new hot water heater. She has been telling me this for months. I know she wants me to tell Skip so he'll BUY her one. She even told me the other day that she wanted to sell an old tractor...that she feels is technically hers...so she could buy the hot water heater. So she went on and on about Skip telling her no, she couldn't sell a tractor, and they had already called a guy to do it, but it would be awhile, because this guy just had a surgery recently. She got mad, and call and cancelled it. And so I had to hear about how cranky Skip was to her...and how she wishes she could die...or just run away from home.
What drama my family has. I think I mentioned before, but she had this horrid boyfriend years back and he took advantage of her. She paid for everything, took him on trips, etc...and she had no money to do this with, so charged up cards to the max and took out loans. A few years ago she had to take out a huge loan to pay off everything and we think the payments must be extremely high. She has no money now (which is why she keeps secretly taking money out of the farm account). So she wants us to feel bad for her. (BTW this guy married some other lady soon after they broke up, what a winner ) But Skip and his brother have bailed her out so many times, it's getting old. She has 6 kids, but these two are the ones she runs to every time she needs something.
So now there is alot of stress and tension around our house. I have to go bring my mom dinner later, and I can't wait to leave!
I think Skip is going to put her on our phone account, but then I'm gonna have to hear him complain about it. But she won't care, as long as she can save $50 a month, she'll be happy. She says she will pay her portion of the bill, but we all know that will never happen. She'll just take an extra $25 a month when she pays herself and put it on the bill.

I really wish Skip would let me take over the book work. I think things would run much more smoothly. According to her, we aren't gonna make it, too many bills coming in...yet she keeps taking money. Of course thats not true. We are fine with the bills and are keeping up. I feel each time she brings that up, is when she is taking a little extra for herself, because that is what she did last year.
Family businesses are not all that great!

So there is the good, the bad and the ugly of my day!

I need to do some Disney updating. Thats much more upbeat!T

So how do you trun off an ap then? I don't seem to get any answers about that when I have asked. I use the Task killer..I think ..but I hear mixed things about that too.

I'm trying to get Claire to go for a walk/stoller ride right now, but she wants to eat! I on the otherhand need to work off all that I have eaten today!

Yeah, it sounds like you need to "help" her out with the books for the business. Now that Claire is in school, you have more time to assist her... come up with something, but get her hands out of the cookie jar- NOW!
