I will be at BCV later this week and am taking friends with me. My friend wants to pay for daily maid service. Is coffee, filters, and detergent replenished daily when you pay for this service? My friend wants to bring coffee with her and I am trying to save her the trouble since she is paying for daily service. Thanks for an answer on this question.

Yes, at a full clean you will get:

Trash emptied
Fresh Bathroom Linens
Facial tissue, paper towels, toilet paper
Coffee, sugar, cream, sweeteners
Dishwashing liquid, dishwashing detergent, sponges, laundry detergent as needed

Change bed linens
Vacuum/dust
Clean bathrooms
Clean kitchen/kitchenette/wash dishes

Cost is:
$25 for Studio
$30 for 1BR
$40 for 2BR
$60 for GV
$10 for Trash/Towel service (The first group of items listed above are provided during a Trash/Towel service)

Extra Soaps (1 facial soap, 1 body soap. 1 shampoo)- $3
Coffee Package (1 package coffee/8 sugars/8 creamers)-$3
Towel Package (4 bath towels/4 handtowels/4 washcloths/ 1 bathmat)- $6
Tide (a Box)- $1

If you have a favorite coffee, I'd still bring my own, but you will get that replensihed with either a Trash/Towel or Full Clean.

Enjoy!

If you are a cash paying guest do you get the full maid service everyday?

What is the correct amount to tip for housekeeping for a two bedroom villa (not too messy, no dishwashing needed) for each day? Pay each day or at the end of your stay?

same rules as a WDW resort $1 per person per day - so if there are 6 people going - $6 a day.

some people give more some people don't tip.

this is assuming you are a paying guest and booked through CRO - you aren't a member or using a members point.

then I would give housekeeping a couple of dollars on towel/trash day - and give maybe $10 on the day I leave.

Two newbie questions:
(1) Are the creamers those packages of powdered material that turns your coffee 1/2 as light as you want it?
(2) Do they give you at least 2 of the little shampoo bottles in the bathroom - we'll have 2 adults and 2 kids (they each want their own shampoo bottle, of course!)

I plan on stopping at Winn-Dixie on the ride from the airport to buy some real 1/2 and 1/2
Larry
;)

I only remember 1 bottle of Shampoo/conditioner in a studio. We stayed in a 1 bdrm in January...I think there were 2 bottles, but I honestly don't remember. The provided shampoo is just awful anyway (IMO). I usually buy some whenever we get groceries off-site.

And yes, the creamers are the dry packettes.

Assuming you are renting from CRO you would get full maid service. If you are renting from a DVC member you will not.

Disney officially lists the housekeepers as a non tipped employee. Many on this board and elsewhere do tip though.

Can we request a cleaning on the morning of the 3rd day only, for example, or do we have to either sign up for every day or none at all when we check in?

Thanks for the information,
Sarah

I've got a similar question.

If you only get maid service every 4 days (so we'll get it once on our trip) do you only tip for that day???

Or do you tip as you normally would?

I'm confused.

Also, if you are sharing a two bedroom with friends and they want the daily service (but they are in the studio portion) what happens then? It gets billed to me and they clean the whole place right? I'm just a bit confused since we've never stayed home before...thanks!

I'm at OKW now, paying cash on a reservation made through Member Services, and they say I don't get maid service, even though I'm paying cash.

If you get the member discount through member services, it is treated as a member reservation for housekeeping purposes, so no housekeeping included. A member discount room comes from member inventory. If you book through CRO, then you get housekeeping.

I believe you can just pay for housekeeping on certain days, not the whole stay. Others have mentioned getting housekeeping only on the day that they have guests moving in/out.

Just want to confirm that you can order housekeeping services for as many days or as few days as you would like. The charge is "per day requested".

As noted, a member discount attained through MS is treated the same as a points stay.
