DA (Disney's Anonymous)

We are planning a trip to vegas for Feb '07 to see all the Cirque shows. I fear that this is what the strip will appear to me......

I do need help!

I wake up in the middle of the night thinking of upcoming trips, rooms locations, dining preferences, and ADR's. The minute we leave the World I am busy planning our next trip back.

Waking up in the middle of the night? Heheh, twice in recent memory I woke from a dream where my wife and I had gone to WDW and I forgot to pack our pins for pin trading. Horrible horrible dream!

im a DA!!! i admit it. I love this thread! could be the best i saw yet. good job! :thumbsup2

Funny :rotfl2: I have those dreams all of the time. In fact, it's hard to remember when dreams aren't disney vacation centered actually. Well last year, the planner that I am I had everything packed and ready to go (of course I had started packing a week or so prior to our trip). Had my kids luggage, my luggage, even my husbands luggage packed and a suitcase filled with snacks. We get dropped off at the airport (this is FOR REAL by the way, not a dream) and we are at the counter checking our bags an hour before our flight and I start counting bags "mental check, there's Tim's bag, Luke's bag, Lauren's bag, snack bag, carry on bag. . . ." panic set in "WHERE'S MY BAG". Oh yeah, that's right the queen of Disney planning left MY BAG at home. I couldn't believe it. I found out they even sell Disney underwear in Disneyworld (thank goodness) because I didn't have any luggage for our entire trip. Luckily I had packed a swimsuit in my carryon and a change of underwear and one change of clothes, I washed clothes in the sink at night and wore my baseball cap the entire trip. hey, we were in Disney no huge deal, but it took me a while to catch my breath after that one, and has caused some Disney anxious dreams ever since :)

Hello, my name is Barbara, and I am a Disneyholic. I like who I am and, as I tell the non-believers, DON'T EVEN TRY TO CHANGE ME!! :rotfl2: I am not happy unless I am AT WDW or at least planning a trip to WDW! I am a devout reader of all things Disney. I get my DGD to school and come back to the house and go straight to the DIS site to see what is new. I feel as though the people here are friends and family and when I read their trip reports, I am MAGICALLY transported to my HAPPY PLACE. I must have been sprinkled with Pixie Dust when I was young and watching Uncle Walt on that little black and white televison!!! That was a good thing. Thank you!!

My name is Sara and I am a Disneyholic. I've accepted this, I can live with this, it's my family and friends that have the trouble. Especially my youngest daughter (who is grown with children of her own). She has gone so far as to go to travel agents and have them send me information about Ireland in hopes of luring me away from my World.

My answer to almost any question is "Let's go to WDW!"

My favorite question to ask my DH is "What is the first thing we'll do at the Kingdom?"

I've tried explaining this addiction to others. I've told them I've been other places and wished I was at WDW, but I've never been at WDW and wished I was somewhere else. They shake their heads, pretend to understand, then try to figure out ways of getting me to go somewhere else.

Next year we are planning a grand gathering. All the kids with their spouses and their kids. I'm hoping that the magic will be catching. Maybe then they will truely understand and stop trying to lure me away to other places. If not... well as I said before, I can live with my addiction.

Everyone together "HI SARA!" :sunny:
A Grand Gathering would be GREAT! I would love to do this one day. Have fun planning the grand gathering, it would be such fun to plan. They have so many more offerings for you when you go as a grand gathering group. Welcome to DA's!

O.K. Everyone together. . ."HI BARBARA!" Welcome to DA's, we're proud to have you here. I love your quote "Don't even try to change me" I have said this more than once to people. Gotta love that "happy place" that DW gives you! Have a magical day!

Tell your DD you would consider a trip to Paris for DLP :thumbsup2

OR maybe California for DL!

I admit to being an addict they all know at work when I go on vacation if i don't go to Disney they are surprised. My kids are addicts too on our last trip on the last day my DD 3 was crying saying she wanted to come back to Disney. This summer I cant go to Disney I have to go "home" to Morocco to see my inlaws. I havent been in a long time but I am going to Disney for Easter. In the past 2 years I have been 8 times so I guess i can give up this summer. ( feeling the withdrawal pangs already)

I thought DA was Dumblebor's Army. (5th book?) :rotfl:

There is no question in anyones mind that both DH and I (and our kids) are Disney adictied. It is a family thing for us. At least we all share it. :goodvibes

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am a Disney-aholic.

My family says, why have a tour guide when you get Michelle for free? And, the running joke in my house is, Michelle knows so much Disney trivia that she knows where the center of WDW is. Doesn't everyone? :rotfl:

Amen!!! If I could be as faithful to my diet as I am to Dis I would be AMAZING! I do feel guilty spending more time reading DIS than the bible anymore, sad isn't it. When are you going in June - we'll be there then too. I have my poncho's and spray fans ready, June can't get here fast enough for us!

We'll be at BCV June 5-12th. :woohoo: Neither my DH or two DS's (12 & 14) are even remotely excited yet. You'd have thought the gene would have passed on to at least one of my kids! :confused3

Shock...horror...hysterical laughter! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I too have a Disney addiction! But I can quit any time I want! Really, I can, I just don't wanna! :teeth:

Hello, my name is Heidi and I am a Disney addict (according to my DH).

Too funny FigmentGuy. We go to Disney twice a year, and Las Vegas once. My DH always say Las Vegas is his Disney World.

Originally this year my DH wanted a "break" from Disney so we planned a Myrtle Beach vacation from June 4-10th with some friends. I was told it was like Disney on the beach (yeah right). He could tell how sad I was not planning our typical Disney vacation and one night he did a mapquest from Myrtle Beach to Disney and found it was like a 9 hour drive and suddenly I was planning for Disney from June 11-19th. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that Disney bug has bit him too ;)

How do you like the BCV's? Are you renting DVC points or booking through Disney? It is a possibility for us next summer that's why I'm asking. Thanks!

We LOVE BCV, we own DVC (but at VWL) and it can be hard to get in BCV during the summer months (SAB is very popular.)

If you do rent points try to do it from someone who owns and can get you the room in the 11 month to 7 month window.

We booked through Disney with a AAA discount. It will be our first time at BCV and I'm really looking forward to it! We LOVE the Epcot area and having some extra space will be great. Stay tuned for a trip report in June. :goodvibes
