We, too, are DA's. Actually, my DH doesn't quite know he's a DA yet.
We went on our honeymoon in 03, and with the family in 05.....DD#1 is asking for "the purple castle" now.
Heehee....he'll soon be sucked in..

Can you imagine if this actually was a group and what the first meeting would be like?

Me:"Hello, my name is Heather and I am a Disney Addict. My last trip was in November"

Other Addict in Group:"Oh my gosh, you too? I was there too! Where did you stay?"

Me:"At the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I got a very good deal. I have an idea. Everyone share their best trip ever."

Before you know it we would be planning trips together. It's a funny thought. Wouldn't it be fun if there was somewhere you could plan trips together in person. Kinda like scrapbooking. I LOVE talking Disney World to people. I was in Toys R US a little bit ago and there was this guy there that was wearing a shirt that had a magic wand on it. WELL I'D KNOW THAT WAND FROM ANYWHERE! It ended up that he worked for Disney and he was doing research on the DVD's there.

My family thinks I need help. I don't want help. I want more Disney. Yep, no step 1 for me either.

I was talking to a friend and told her that something my son had reminded me of our Disney cruise. My DH said, "What in the world DOESN'T remind you of Disney?!?" He kept on with, "Everything either reminds you of a past Disney trip or makes you think about your next trip."

The Pluto and me pic was taken at Chef Mickey's and I photoshopped it in front of a picture of the castle. It's probably my favorite Disney picture.

I've been a Disney-aholic since my first trip in 1990...but I didn't have a serious problem...it's really NOT a problem except for those weirdos who don't get it...but it didn't get serious until I found the DIS in 2003 as I was planning a trip...just stumbled upon this place and BAM! like someone else said...my face fell in the pixie dust and I'm hooked on the stuff!!

I, too, like all DAs have had those WDW trip dreams...

I am truly an obsessive planner...the more I have to plan the better I feel. Heck, I even partially planned a trip for my niece's family last year just to get a fix and we were going twice ourselves...lol I didn't think I was gonna make it to WDW this year...we're heading west to DL instead, but then Dsis called up and wants to do a "Princess trip"...oh, boy do I wanna go!!! But, I'm already set to go to Las Vegas in May, DL in June, Baltimore (work) in late June...and Dsis wanted to leave for WDW June 30...DH said NO! Well, then he said I should go to WDW...be less expensive than Las Vegas. So, I tell Dsis that this morning and now...we're going on the trip!! Bye-bye Las Vegas...hello Mickey! I don't have the dates yet, but it'll be in July. I know hotter than anything, but who cares? It's WDW!!! So, now I can start planning for the girls trip...okay, it'll be me, Dsis and Dniece and we're all junkies!!!

Okay, so let me know when the next DA meeting is...

Hello, my name is Penny and not only am I a Disney-aholic but I am teaching my daughter to be one too.
My DH asked me yesterday if there wasn't some way I could put all this Disney knowledge to good use. This came while I was telling him a horor story about a classmate of DD whose family is going to WDW next Sunday without a single ADR and who doesn't even know enough to be worried. The mother asked me if she should call for some reservations and did I think her DD would like to eat at the Castle.

Our meetings are just ongoing here at the Dis. I agree, my Disney obsession multiplied an unimaginable amount when I found the DIS. I found myself in withdrawl from the DIS when I didn't have a trip to plan but found you can still help others in those "down times". How exciting to be going to DL, I am trying to plan that for a trip next year, would love to give Walt's park a try. Have fun on all of your upcoming trips, better yet- have fun PLANNING them!

I can share this with ya'll and ya'll WILL understand.... I'm going to WDW!!! I just made the ressie this morning...Dsis and Dniece were wanting a Trip since Dsis may not be able to get a vacation for 18 mos. once fall hits...changes at her workplace, so asked if we could go a girls only trip...well, yeah!...so dubbed the Princess Pilgrimage. Dsis is a junkie as well and Dniece has been planning her WDW wedding since she was 6...she's 11 now. (At least there are some sane members of my family...our oldest Dsis, when asked to join us on the trip replied, BLEEP NO!...she must be adopted.) Well, I had to convince DH that it was a good thing...considering I'd be in Las Vegas in May, DL in June, Baltimore the end of June and then a trip in July...no way jose! Ah, well, I gave up Vegas to see the mouse again...way cooler anyway and at least I know where my money is going...not some gambling table...lol

So, thanks fellow DA members for sharing my good fortune! And oh, dear, Lord, I've gotta get caught up on all those ADRs...we are way past that new 180 day mark....

I have to share... my first was 10 years ago this May.Honeymoon
Anyway my wonderful hubby is questioning how smart that was to take me there!!! We go at least 1 time a year!! This year we are going by ourselves for our anniversary!!! We have a Disney cruise scheduled for next Feb. He is now questioning that!!! I tell he has the magic bug otherwise he never would of planned the honeymoon for WDW!

Very funny, we went for our honeymoon too and now he is hooked (not as much as me, but he loves Disney too). I wonder how many honeymoons start out at Disney innocently enough but then turns into Disney obsession. ... .I wonder ; )

I have visited DL many times and have been to WDW 3 times.

I have raised 4 Disney fanatics and am well on the way to addicting another generation to all things Disney. My DGD is 14 months and one of her first words was "Pooh" for her favorite Disney character.

I thought this year I would take a break from Disney and take a cruise. My DH suggested that perhaps I would like to spend a couple of days at DL before the cruise.

Guess where I will be on Saturday?

I blame my father. He gave me my first doll. Not a barbie, or a china doll, but a special 50th edition mickey doll with a black tux and a pink silk tie.

Then after I worn that one out he gave me a 5th edition Beast doll with a blue tux.

He started me out with the small stuff, ya know dolls, movies, my own disney glasswear, linens. He was working me up for the hard stuff.........WDW. I took one hit of that place and I've been obsessed ever since.

I'm on the DIS boards all the time, I'm constantly talking about WDW, and my DF says he can't take it anymore.....so here I am.
