D-Day Invasion- "Strange"-ly Imminent!! TRIP REPORT IS UP!!

Hey Mama, just wanted to check in with you to let you know your on my mind and heart.

Awwwwwww, you're so sweet, Camille!! It's been forever and a day since you've visited us!! Hope all is well in your world too!!

Just poppin' in to say hello. I'm working on your Mickey's. I should have them done this week and will send them off!

Men never do. Anywhere. Well, once. Glenn did, here.
It is one of our inbred qualities that are so valuable. It takes a real moment of weakness to falter! ;)
I've never dealt with Scouts, and you guys are scaring me!!
They can be a challenge at times, but there are many moments of great reward when you get involved with youth from so many different walks of life! :thumbsup2 Hopefully they get as much out of it as I do. It is not unlike being a parent for sure! :)
Get out your slide rule- they may not get any easier!
Nice! But I'm calculating that they might. :lmao:
Maybe my favorite ad; that or the Pilsbourghy Dough Boy ads.
That was DWs favorite when she was a very young girl, right up until she got her parents to buy a can of biscuits, she hit it on the counter, and the Pillsbury Dough Boy failed to make an appearance! :scared1:
I've attracted some seriously competitive people here!! I love it!
Where??? I haven't seen any of them.... :confused3
That is some really freaky grocery store telepathy going on there!! :scared1:
We discovered that we lived very near to each other in NC, but I don't think our years of living there overlapped (or if they did, it wasn't by much). That was about the only grocery store in the area, so it wasn't too much of a stretch!
Not only were we in the same town, but lived in the same area of the town. I think we figured out we were actually there during some of the same time. We left in June of 1997.

Now for my latest guess. I am going with pick a pearl. So are you going to get it set into the ring there, or wait until you get home? I couldn't tell from your posts, although you mentioned the setting on the sheet where you listed souvies.

HI back at ya!! You're always up so early, Sophia! What time do you go to work??

Super! I've told my mom to look out for packages, and I can't wait to open it on the 20th when we arrive in BG-town! :yay:

It is one of our inbred qualities that are so valuable. It takes a real moment of weakness to falter! ;)

Is driving around the same circle, lost, part of that inbred trait you all carry too?

Tis true about any service you get involved in. We've done homeless work, youth work, you name it.... all rewarding, all challenging.

Nice! But I'm calculating that they might. :lmao:

Gotta throw in some of each.... challenging for the old-timers, easy for the newer friends.

OH yeah!! I haven't used a can of those babies in about 10 years, but aren't they fun!!?? Did she forget to peel the paper off first??

Where??? I haven't seen any of them.... :confused3

 Hmmmm..... I wonder who that could be?? Should I name names??

Not only were we in the same town, but lived in the same area of the town. I think we figured out we were actually there during some of the same time. We left in June of 1997.

Amazing the coincidence of that!!

Now for my latest guess. I am going with

Very good guess! Depends on the price...

Is driving around the same circle, lost, part of that inbred trait you all carry too?
Lost? You think we're lost??? :rotfl2: Surely you aren't so naive as to really think we're lost! Lost is not a word in our vocabulary!!! We, uh, um.........now where was I? :confused3
Gotta throw in some of each.... challenging for the old-timers, easy for the newer friends.
Striking a fair balance can be vexing.
OH yeah!! I haven't used a can of those babies in about 10 years, but aren't they fun!!?? Did she forget to peel the paper off first??
No, she did it all correctly, but at a young age, disappointment is a hard lesson to learn....
 Hmmmm..... I wonder who that could be?? Should I name names??
Would you also pull the mask off the Lone Ranger ere you had the chance??? What is it with women and secrets??? :rotfl2:
Amazing the coincidence of that!!
Yes it was funny how the conversation continued to progress and the reality set in that we were that close to each other at one time, and had to wait until years later to meet at WDW! I guess that small world is much smaller in some places than others.... Go figure! :)
Very good guess! Depends on the price...
Yes, choose wisely!!!

Lost? You think we're lost??? :rotfl2: Surely you aren't so naive as to really think we're lost! Lost is not a word in our vocabulary!!! We, uh, um.........now where was I? :confused3

Well, driving around in circles (while we women roll our eyes in circles) doesn't always mean "lost"; sometimes it means hopelessly lost.

No, she did it all correctly, but at a young age, disappointment is a hard lesson to learn....

Right along with "Life's not always fair", "sometimes the bad guy wins", and "there will always be someone better at it" lessons.

Would you also pull the mask off the Lone Ranger ere you had the chance??? What is it with women and secrets??? :rotfl2:

Yes, I would. I think it's something akin to men and the simple, "How do I get there?" question.

Wow Mary, I am really sorry to hear that! :sad1: I was hoping to "hear" all about this special event and join in on the TR for it! :)

Me, too! I am praying for the right time!!! We did get a few more donations yesterday - so we are getting closer to our original goal! (It may change a bit depending on how we structure the trip and when they go, etc.)

Maroo - I'm sorry to hear you had to cancel the vacation for that family! But, I'm glad to hear it's not completely out of the question and is just a matter of timing. I'm certain you'll snag an awesome deal and the timing will line up!

Me too!

Liesa - I am praying for you guys! How crazy and difficult this time must be for you guys.:hug::hug:

:rotfl2: That is a great smiley! It did kinda look like that tonight when I spoke to Joe...;) We didn't fully talk it out, but he did seem interested - it would be a quick trip, just a weekend sorta thing due to him not having any extra vacation days...and it's REALLY close to when we leave for WDW, but, it is not out of the question! :goodvibes I'll talk to him again tomorrow and we can price hotels, etc. to see if it will work out....I'll letcha know! Are you gonna be at the meet Glenn? My hubby would like another guy to chat with so he isn't just defaulted to "baby duty". :rolleyes1

That was a smiley of ME pleading with Joe!

Yes, my wife and I are planning on going. I'll leave the kids at home (fortunately they're old enough for that) as I'm sure they won't want to be around all of us old fuddy duddies. ETA - plus, James is probably afraid that his cheeks will get pinched by Jenbear.

Glenn IS coming- I just got he and Judy's RSVP today! And I"m sorta thinking it's the other way around. I think Glennbo would be OVERLY thrilled to have another guy there, so he has a bit less 'splainin' to do to Judy.

Unfortunately Judy will have to teach on Monday, so we can't do an overnight stay.

Not only were we in the same town, but lived in the same area of the town. I think we figured out we were actually there during some of the same time. We left in June of 1997.

We were there from summer of '96 through summer of '99, so one year overlap.

Aw nuts. I was so looking forward to that. You didn't tell him did you?! Oh well, one day I'll meet your infamous children ;) And I'm that an old fuddy duddy, am I?!

:rotfl: I wondered if you'd see that, buried in a reply. So funny that you found it so quickly! No, I didn't tell him. I just think they'd be bored to death.

Congrats for signing up for the 5k! How are you feeling today? This is the first day I've not woken up and coughed for the first three hours of my day. :)

Recruiting to the ranks is not an easy task! The Romans simply just took slaves from conquered people, and almost every army has paid mercenaries to do their warring works. Finding qualified soldiers to fight alongside your troops is never easy- I mean there are only a precious few young men and women who are willing to put themselves in harm’s way for honor and duty.

Finding qualified compatriots to join the Belle Battalion’s ranks has been equally hard work!!! We’ve labored night and day to find those who are willing to take up arms and fight. Many hours of begging, pleading and cajoling have gone into making the army larger! All to the great end of

DISMeets!!!

Let’s take a look at those who’ve joined the Lovely ranks of our Lady Army! Yes, we’ve managed to recruit a few, even if it is just for a really quick Meet Up to talk strategy, and give each other reports of the progress of our campaigns.

First up, is BROOK! This recruit was only commissioned very recently. She and her Big Guy are ready for some Food Ration testing with us at the BEST Mess Hall around! Get ready for a “corny” kind of Meet with some all around goofy photos- scheduled to ensue on the 4th at MK.

We also are meeting up with OhioDisneyLover (Sophia) and her co-commander Joe for Illuminations on the 10th. We’ve tossed around the idea of hitting up the Club called Jellyrolls the next evening- depends on their own battle plans as they progess!

Also included in our ranks is Lady Lallie! We had a Meet set up, then she had to change it. We set up another one, but, she keeps her Allies guessing all the time- part of her reeeeeeeeally tricky Invasion Strategy! Since she is no longer planning… eh-hem…. The sky’s the limit. :lmao:

Another Meet I’m very excited for is with CircusGirl, (Heather- another Northwesterer), who arrives on the 8th- Hopefully. Her plans are NOT cemented, and we’ll be in touch as time gets closer.

Another Meet in the developing stages is with MEK. We don’t know each other so well, but sometimes the BEST Allies are the ones you get to know quickly and on the spot! Mary Ellen, let’s get planning! Our overlapping dates are the 11th and 12th and 13th AM.

Now, if there are any others who know our dates overlap- the 2-13th- Let us know!!!!

I promise, we will neither make you a slave, nor pay you!

This is me because of four lousy days: :sad1::sad1::sad1:

Liesa - I am praying for you guys! How crazy and difficult this time must be for you guys.:hug::hug:

We really need to be covered right now! Tensions are high, everyone's edgy.

That was a smiley of ME pleading with Joe!

Unfortunately Judy will have to teach on Monday, so we can't do an overnight stay.

We were there from summer of '96 through summer of '99, so one year overlap.

I really hope there will be several others who end up coming! Even if it's only for one of the meals.

Are you saying we're a boring bunch? We'll just have to set things straight on that account!

Is Monday Judy's first day of school??

Aw nuts. I was so looking forward to that. You didn't tell him did you?! Oh well, one day I'll meet your infamous children ;) And I'm that an old fuddy duddy, am I?!

I"d say you're the least fuddy-duddiest of us all....

:rotfl: I wondered if you'd see that, buried in a reply. So funny that you found it so quickly! No, I didn't tell him. I just think they'd be bored to death.

Not much slips past this bunch, does it? :rolleyes1

Congrats on signing up for the 5K! That's a great challenge for you. :cool1:

I think your challenge is even more of one than mine!! I can't wait to hear how your 1/2 goes!!

Congrats for signing up for the 5k! How are you feeling today? This is the first day I've not woken up and coughed for the first three hours of my day. :)

Feeling better, I think I may need a round of Cipro (over the counter here) as I still have a bit of lingering- ummm..... effects.

So, SO glad to hear you're not still hacking up a lung! How is that rib?

Maybe Liesa can extend her trip by a few days? As if 10 days wasn't enough! :lmao::lmao:

Glad you are feeling better KATHY!!!!!!!

I came THIS close to extending it by one day in order to get in my MNSSHP. But I knew I was already pushing my limit!

This is me because of four lousy days: :sad1::sad1::sad1:

I know!!! I can't believe it!!! How could it have turned out so close, but no cigar??!!
