Cvs weekly 8/30-9/5

I b ought the Bounce bar too but I'm taking it back... I don't care for stuff sticking in my dryer. Now if it was with a strong magnet, I'd be in, but not sticky stuff that's gonna be getting hot and gooey. With my luck, DS19 would be taking the clothes out of the washer and put my bras in the dryer with it!:scared1:

Some stores have a smaller candle by Glade(I think). Anyway there was recently a coupon in the Sunday inserts to get this candle free. It's not a CVS "deal" it can be used anywhere. But for those trying to use a 5/25 the free candle is a great filler, especially if they are out of stock on an item you had planned to purchase. My store doesn't have it.

Thanks, thats what I thought it might be. I have that coupon too, plus $3 off, so could get 2 of them IF I could find them.

Has anyone else found them, at CVS or anywhere else?

My only suggestion would be to turn off your virus protection while you do the update and turn it back on after it finishes. I am having trouble with SmartSource coupons on a few computers here. I wish everyone would just do it like coupons.com does, those are secure and watermarked.

I've tried that twice now but it still isn't working. :(

However, the Sensodyne coupon isn't in the first post anyway... it was there before though, wasn't it? Or am I somehow missing it? :confused3 Its been a long long week already :(

I found the little glade candles at Target.

Yes, I have seen them at Kmart and the grocery store too (Giant).

Just fyi, but Kmart is doing double coupons again this week, plus my flier had a $5/$50 in it. I was able to get $60 of stuff yesterday for $2.26 ($1.45 of that was tax) and I am heading back out tomorrow for some more. I also got another $5 catalina to use plus another $5/$50.

I also found out that they double bogo coupons (making both items free) if the items are under $2. Also, you do not need $25 worth of stuff to trigger the doubling. I just bought Pull UPs the other day and used the $5 catalina and a $2 q and paid .99 for them :cool1:

Thanks! Great site but unfortunately my computer won't print them :( :( :(

It says "Your coupons are being printed. This could take up to one minute. Please do not close this window."
- as the little circles go around and around and around but never print, ugh! I have no idea why my computer does this, do any of you?

mashiba, I wish I had other ideas to try but I have had so much trouble with those smartsource coupons too, one time it took an hour of that thing spinning around before it would print, another it wouldn't print at all.

Walgreens has the little Glade candles on sale for $2.50 each this week and its a register promotion thing so the cashier will love you if you buy one and use the free coupon (they get bonus money).

I had an extra buck adjusted from $1 to 99¢ today and it didn't lower my tax amount :( so am going to try the extra bucks first/mfgs. last again and see what happens. I really hate this tax situation as I bought lots of stuff that I didn't need/want just to donate.

I have been buying men's Nivea shave gel like crazy, it's regular $3.39 and $3.99 but is $2 off this week, so a few types are $1.39. Then I've been using $1 coupons on those - using the coupon that says something like any face or body product. Earn $5 for every $15 spend and can do that 5 times ($75 worth). I also bought the women's body wash that had a big fake engagement ring on it just because I wanted that big "diamond."

I see the Ready-Fill quiz was put back up at CVS.com. I'm trying to do one a few times a day. I've spent way too much money lately just because I want to use one of them each time I shop, bought even more 75% clearance today - another cube cooler. Got home and my 21 year old wanted it badly (didn't ask what for!) so forked that over, along with cereal, peanut butter, jelly, razors, shaving cream - but no cash this time. He even wrote us a check for money he owes us so that was a shocker.

Flaky - sorry I haven't written yet, I wish you could see how excited I get about those coupons!

Hi Ladies,

Had my first 'nasty cashier' experience at CVS today. Bought $35 worth of stuff before any discounts (full CVS retail), then I had my CVS card scanned.

I did a $2/10 oral care from Ready Fill
3 ECBs for $7.98
$12 mfg coupons
and then I realized I had a computer $5/$25 so I handed it to her -- it beeped.

She scanned it again and it beeped. I was concerned that now my subtotal wasn't $25 so it was rejecting it.

But, no! Instead I got a 10-minute lecture on how I was personally taking down CVS and destroying the company and the economy. I was told that she's not going to let me scam CVS out of any more money than I already have. OK, I've been CVSing for about a month now and have spent $95 -- so, yes, I am singlehandedly taking down a huge chain.

There were about 4 or 5 people behind me and the line was getting longer. I tried to interrupt her but couldn't stop the tirade. Holding back tears I tried to offer her my $4/$20 from the Ready Fill and apologize for whatever the mishap was. She snatched the coupon out of my hand and tore it up right in front of me and told me I was done for the day.

I should have walked out, but I bought my daughter goggles from the clearance section and I didn't want to disappoint her. So I paid my $13-ish, gathered up my purchase and my self-esteem and went to my car trying not to cry.

I did send off my 1000 character maximum email on the CVS website, so we'll see if they do anything.

I'm more mad at myself for not being more assertive, but I'd already come from Target where I bought some Johnson's baby wash ($2.19 - $1mfg - $1 target Q = $0.19) and got the look like I was stealing. So I was a bit discombobulated, I guess.

Nonetheless, I am not deterred! I will go back to CVS and this next time I'm going to figure out how to buy with $1 or less OOP.

I started the day out on a very big high -- paid $6.26 for my $59 worth of groceries!

If I'd had a magic wand, I'd have turned her into a frog!

Thanks for listening. I know many of you have dealt with less than pleasant cashiers, so I thank you for supporting newbies like myself.

Wish I could hug you, love your attitude of going back! Am also glad you wrote and I hope that this info. gets to the district manager.

If you were taking down the chain, I have already nuked them and am playing in the ashes.

The number one reason for cashiers acting like that is menopause, I am not kidding.

The second reason is jealousy.

The third is misinformation about their company, or rather, they haven't take the time to learn about their company.

CVS is the #1 pharmacy in the nation. Their money comes from the pharmacy business, not the retail business. Retail is only to pull you in to fill prescriptions in the pharmacy.

I've been treated badly a few times but I've never had anything tore up in front of me - that is destruction of YOUR property. So sorry that happened but congratulations for your savings otherwise and the only important thing after all this is what you're doing for your family.

I guess I'm just enough of a &^$#$ that I would have stayed right there and said No you're done for the day get me the manager NOW! And if the manager wasn't in the store I'd have had her call them. She basically stole $4 from you when she ripped up the coupon. I'm so sick & tired of people trying to make me feel bad about getting stuff I need cheap or free.

I have one guy at work that we both do the CVS & WAGS deals so it's fun when one of us finds a great deal. On the other hand we have another guy that acts as though we are stealing from these stores. Of course, we get a bit of pleasure from the fact that his new wife blows all his money, his credit is crap, he can't buy a house, falls for scams like the credit repair companies....funny I told him I could guide him through doing it himself for free using info from creditboards. But no he just keeps going working 2 jobs, and losing money hand over fist with his new bride, complaining to us day in and out how much he has to work to survive. :confused3

If that guy had half a brain he would ask you and your co-worker if he could go to CVS with you sometime.

I still don't get the disdain for coupons, there are people who would rather sing naked in public than use a coupon in a store.

We are so sorry to hear about your experience at Target and your even worse treatment at CVS. I do hope you get a response from the DM because what you had to endure from this cashier was something that shouldn't be tolerated by CVS. Great job at the grocery store! Keep your chin up and try to remember that YOU weren't doing anything wrong~~they were.

I'm so sorry you were treated that way. I think we all get that at one time or another! I'm sensitive too so I would have done exactly what you did.

Let me just say that I had something similar happen at Walgreens. I wrote down the cashier's name and the manager's name that supported her. I sent my email and got a call from the district manager. Ever since then the manager and cashier have been sweeter than sugar to me! The cashier even said the next I went in (and it was awhile before i felt like I could go in again) that she just "loved" coupons and was so happy to see people saving money. :lmao:

I am glad you are getting a kick out of your coupons:love: I never saw the shaving gel..must have missed it. My DH loves it so I am going to stock up...
I was getting my DD ready to go off to college and I realized I am very low or out of tons of CVS stockpile:scared1: Shampoo, toothpaste, no toothbrushes, deodorant...its scarey:scared1:I need to do some restocking very soon:rolleyes1

 I:scared1: feel so bad for you. I get upset when someone huffs behind me. I dont know how I would react if someone treated me the way you were treated. Did you tell her you were from the DISBOARDS? I think not...she would have run for the hills:rotfl2:

So sorry that happened to you. :( I've had similar cashiers, which is a reason i took a little cvs break this summer. Hope you get a good outcome from your email to corporate.

My coupons won't print either and really wanted to try the sensitive toothpaste. :(

LanaJae, any chance you or anyone else might still have those instructions to print the Ready - Fill coupon again? I can't find it now and never did get the coupon book. Did i mention i have mean cashiers? :sad2: so doing the on-line coupon again would be great.

TIA. :goodvibes

AuroraBeauty-. Unfortunately when you get good at the "coupon thing" some cashiers feel it is their duty to bring you down. I think it has happened to all of us at some time or another. That cashier was obviously NOT educated in how coupons work and that the store was making more money off of them! A similar situation happened to me at Rite Aid. I voided the whole transaction ($50 worth of stuff) and left with my coupons. I did call corporate with her name and the issues (she was a shift supervisor) and now when I shop at that store she and the manager practically trip over themselves to be accomodating to me.

LanaJae- Thanks for posting the Nivea shave gel deal. Totally missed that one! I think I have a shave gel CRT that I can combine with it to make it an even better deal!

Sorry for quoting myself, but here is a printable to go along with the shaving gel deal: http://ext6.nivea.us/regforms/reg_nfm.html

THANK YOU for posting this printable! I rarely get newspaper coupons anymore because our papers are $3 each, so I've had to rely on printables a lot more lately. So if the shave gels are 1.39 each, would you have to buy 11 before getting the $5 ECB? Or is it is the 3.39 price that counts?
