CVS ECB deals - Sales for Week 7/15-7/21

Apologies is others have already posted.

At CVS today I purchased two Lamasil (or is it Lamisilk?) one was a cream the other a scrub. I also purchased Excedrin bringing my total over $20 for the ECB promo.

 I didn't get my ECB's! My receipt said I reached $14.something. Cashier said call customer service. Sigh. So, I did. I explained the problem and she said they were having problems with that promo. I told her that I was there just an hour ago, she took all of my info from the receipt and put me on hold. She comes back after several minutes and says "unfortunately since your purchase was so recent we can't see it here. It usually takes 48 hours (is that true?)-- if it takes 48 hours why did you put me on hold instead of just saying call back in 48 hours!
She said something about only certain Lamisil products...I replied "no, there is nothing about specific Lamisil in the ad or on the sign on the store shelf" she started back peddling then and said I'm not saying you won't get credit, you need to call back.

Anyway, anyone else having problems with this one?

UGH, it should have gone more smoothly. Here's what I bought yesterday and it went through:
1 Lamisil Cream 12 G - $9.99
1 Lamisilk Exfol. $6.49
1 Excedrin Back/Body 24 ct - $4.49
I've been down the same path as you, and as a result, I've gotten into the habit now of not leaving the store without first checking that the prices rung up correctly and I was properly credited. Corporate seems to want the issues resolved at the store-level, and one of our two stores in town does have lovely and knowledgeable employees (and the other has some really "beauties" so I let my dollars do the walkin').

Here's today's trip -- Still haven't managed to pull anything together to get rid of that high $15 ECB from yesterday, but this one just fell into place:

4 L'Oreal shampoos, $4.99 *4
2 Right Guard deodorants, $2.50*2
1 Hershey Cacao 4.2 oz, $3.59 -- if you received the $1 CVS coupon in the mail and also the free coupon in Sunday's paper, get this bigger size rather than the single bar
1 Skippy peanut butter (it's nice that you can work toward the $5 ECBs and not to have to purchase all $10's worth in one trip)
1 Mini gardening kit, 90% off (will be good for teacher present), $0.49
1 Digital Photo, $0.25

Less $4/$20 (1st time used my personal e-mail, exp. 7/22)
Less $9.98, L'Oreal B1G1free CVS offer this week
Less $9.98, 2 L'Oreal man.coupons
Less $2.99, Cacao man.coupon
Less $1, CVS 3.5 oz or more Cacao coupon

Total OOP = $0.84 and received $2 ECB for deodorant, plus credit for Skippy.

Yep. That's exactly what I bought, too. I questioned the cashier about the error. She told me to call customer service and keep my receipt to return the items if I don't get credit.
?-- I used a $10/$50 coupon on this transaction (the whole thing totaled $54 originally) and used man q's for all the items.
If I don't get my ECB's how does this sort of return work?:confused3

If you paid with a GC or ECB's they are supposed to give you a return on a money card (gift card). This is also how they handle returns w/o a receipt.

Pepsi deal!!! Not an ECB deal but a great price anyway!

On sale for Buy 4 Pepsi for $11 get a 12pk of Pepsi MAX free so you are paying $2.20 per 12 pack (if you do the math after the free one 11/5=2.20). Here's where is gets better!

Go to this website (great website by the way for active printables!)
http://clipandship.lmsstores.com/m_33.asp?pa=m_33

Page down and print the Diet Pepsi max coupon! Good for 1 free 12 pack of the diet pepsi max (up to $3.99 value). So if you get 3 pepsi products, 2 diet pepsi max 12 packs it would be 11-2.75 (coupon) = 8.25 for 5-12 packs!!! (1.65 each) Throw in a $/$$ coupon and it would be even better!!!

Is anyone else having problems getting the Pepsi Max coupon to load. I could get the rest but not this one. Any ideas?

If it were me, I'd request that the store could do 1 of 2 things:
1) Simply rer-ring the sale, give you the ECBs you should have gotten, and then return the items; or
2) Credit what you paid back to a CVS giftcard (you might get lucky and they'll credit you for the face value of the items -- before the coupons -- just as if you didn't have the receipt, but that's a stretch). Some people have reported that their CVS will only refund what they paid in cash or credit card (after coupons and ECBs) because that's how the register dealt with a return, but that is unacceptable in my opinion and a manager can remedy.

This is exactly why I generally do a return w/o a receipt. If I bring in the receipt they ? payment method, get this confused look  like they cannot figure out how to return it & give me the credit I am due OR worse they try to return it and only give me .27 that I actually paid OOP!!! They cannot refund a $4/$20, mfg coupons, cvs crts or any of the like and that is why they are supposed to give you a money card for the price of the item NOT the price of the item minus coupons. By returning the item w/o a receipt I don't get the hassle. They automatically return it and give me a money card. Saves me time, them time, and both of us aggravation.

That is what I spent OOP the 1st time out and you have $30 to put towards your next deals so that is a great start!

Does anyone know how I can use my BOGO vive shampoo Q for the BOGO deal this week? I can't figure out how that will work! Will I buy one and get two free? I want to make sure I can explain how it should work to the cashier! I have some $1 off Q's, too, so I plan to use those as well!

You buy 2, get BOTH free! :woohoo: CVS "pays" for one, Coupon "pays" for the other. I used 3 coupons and got 6 bottles FREE!! :cool1:

I have SO had it with my local CVS! I went yesterday...three days into the sale and they were sold out of the Gas-X, Maalox, and Benefiber that I planned to buy. Onto plan B, but they were out of the Cottonelle, Kotex, and Energizer batteries I wanted. So I moved onto plan C, but they were out of the Lipton tea and Skippy peanut butter than I planned to buy. So I went for plan D and got some CVS sunblock for my beach vacation next week. I got a measly $3 ECB when I'd planned on a $15 ECB rolled into another $15 ECB into several smaller ECBs.

I tell you...that trip really chapped my ****! It is EVERY WEEK this happens. And they get their truck on Tuesday so if they don't have it on Tuesday, they're not going to get it anymore during the rest of the sale. I've called customer service twice about this already...about how I consistently go there with my ECB game plans only to often leave empty-handed or VERY disappointed.

What stinks is the CVS I frequent is the only real good one around here. There are two downtown, but they are very small and stock even less on a regular basis. The one out at the mall is a joke too (except that's where I found my Burt's Bees, so I love them anyway!). I told DH last night...my $0.16 OOP trip from last week may have been my swan song. I think I might be getting off the ECB train not because I want to...but because my CVS store sucks so much that I have to. :sad2:

I'm sorry about that, so frustrating. :headache: That's exactly how it is with the local RiteAid!

Am planning to pick up some Skippy's later in the week at CVS to wrap up the spend $10 deal -- sounds like I need to prepare myself for a "RiteAid moment".

Holy crap, I saved a lot at CVS today! Sad thing is, I think I could have done even better if the first CVS I went to had everything I wanted! :headache: They were out of the Shout, and the Kotex pads for my one deal, so I only did the Excedrin, Maalox, Gas-X one there, and the stuff I could towards the next deal (Huggies). I had Q's for the Excedrin, Maalox, and Gas-X, and $2 each off the Huggies. I also used 10 off 50, 4 of 20 and 3 off 15 on this deal (yes, they let me use all of them).

At my second CVS, my total before sales and Q's was $94.28 after all the sales, I paid them $24.99 and got back $27 in ECB's!! SWEET! (oh yeah, I used a 10 off 50, 3 off 15, and 4 off 20 on this one, too)
