LOL, I put together HUGE baskets for my grandparents and DH's. Both are on fixed incomes and they both raved and raved about them. Funniest part though is that both sets gave back the baskets and asked me to refill them next Christmas for them
I also filled 10 gift baskets for many familly members and friends and everyone loved all the different items in their baskets, from cleaning products to H&BAs. My daughter also put together 8 gift bags for her friends instead of buying something small for each. She and her friends are in their 20's so the bags were filled with lipgloss, mascara, nailpolish, bodywash, etc. Again, her friends loved the items.
I also made 2 huge gift baskets for 2 different families we "adopted" at work. After all gift bags were made and gift baskets made, I donated the rest of the items to our local women's shelter. My mother took the boxes of H&BA items up to the shelter for me and she said that the director of the shelter said they were always in need of the items. The boxes were full of toothbrushes, toothpaste, pain medication, Buddy Bars, bodywash, soap, shampoo, creamrinse, etc., etc.
I still have a good year's supply of toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, razors, tampons, cleaning products, etc. for myself and I have only been CVSing since June 2008. I cannot imagine what I will have after an entire year.
My plans are to make giftbags/baskets for birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas 2009, etc. and to donate to the women's shelter throughout the year since I know it was greatly appreciated.
CVSing has been so much fun for me and also it has been gratifying to help out others with my overage.
