The Robitussin and Dimetapp are on sale for $4 and then you get back Register Rewards (kind of like their ECB). You are supposed to get $10 back when you spend $20 (so you need to buy 5), but it is printing a $10 and 2 $5. So you spend $20 and get $20 back! Plus you make a profit if you use coupons Coupons were in 9/21, 11/2, and 12/14 Red Plum inserts. Plus you can print a $2 off from Robitussin website and a $2 from the Dimetapp site.

Hurry, they may fix this or the stores may run out.

Great deal!, I've got a Robi-addict living near me cleaning it all out as soon as they get it in stock.

I read on another board that the double RRs should last until 12-31 because it's 2 separate promotions. Starting 1-1-09, it'll just be this week's deal.

If you like it, it'll be an easy goal to keep! - the Star Tribune had me do a video segment on CVS shopping last month (Dollar Duo) at the store on Grand. All the employees seemed really nice and they had more things in stock than the stores I go to.

There is heavy competition for the deals at the University store and also at the store on Maryland in East St. Paul (it can get scary there too). I wanted to go to the University or Maryland store last weekend at midnight (tons of free-after-ECB deals for a 2-day sale), but no one in my family would go along and I didn't want to see what happens around either store alone at midnight

At the very least you get $10 back. But make sure you get the ones that are on sale for $4.

(for safety) and I asked the employee about how the deals work and they said there are lots of "scammers" out there who save thousands and don't even spend hundreds. That's crazy! Why would we be scamming when they clearly advertise things are FREE after ECBs? It's not like we're scheming to make them free. And it really depends on the store and the employees. I've run into some really rude managers and some that are so nice and even help you out to get things at an even better deal than you thought.

I continue to go to one particular store just because one of the managers is so nice. There's also an employee that I know does the deals too because he always comments how he did his the night before or asks if I got all of them if I happened to not have something in my transaction.

Just because other people aren't smart enough to figure all this out when it's clearly advertised, it's not our fault! LOL

Too funny! - there are some real nuts that shop there and I don't know why the management lets them continue. They have a bunch of Extra Care Cards and will buy out every last sale item in one transaction after another. There's a guy who has about 30 cards and he hits every store in the area. For those people, it's more like tens of thousands of dollars, if not more. I don't know what they do with the stuff, sure hope it's not piled up in their homes!

There are two coupons and you can print two of each. I would print from 2 computers if possible and get 4 of the Back & Body, because they have a lower shelf price (and the exact same formula). Since this is such a sweet deal they will fly off the shelf.

My DH snagged mine as soon as he saw them, lol. He hates coffee and loves caffeine, plus he takes aspirin for his heart- so they are a perfect 3 in 1 pill for him.

There is a difference between scamming and taking advantage of good deals. The person LanaJae describes above is a scammer. I mean 30 cards! Come on! Even if he donates it all, I don't think that is right to take the deals away from everyone else.

If you do the deals on one card (maybe 2, for like your dad or husband, etc.) and don't use coupons improperly, I don't think you are doing anything wrong. THEY are the ones making the deals Free after ECB. They know what they are doing.

Don't let the manager scare you from starting CVSing.

Finally, I am back! No Internet for 5 days, I thought I was going to die . We did a major room redo at home and moved DS from the nursery to a new big boy room, which was the former computer room. Well, DS is all moved in, but the computer room is in shambles and nothing is hooked up yet! I was so excited to come to work just to use the internet!

Wanted to post a few Rite Aid deals that I did as well:

Covergirl is B1G1 Free this week. If you have any of the Buy a Foundation get a free face product it is a great week to use up those coupons as they expire 12/31. Both products will be free!

Orajel mouth rinse is free after SCR this week.

Axe shampoo or conditioner is .99 after SCR. I didn't do this deal but if you use the product, a good price. I also didn't have any coupons for it.

Oral-B toothbrushes are .49 after SCR and using a $1 mfg. coupon.

I had earned some gift cards to Rite Aid so I am trying to spend them as quickly as possible. I am worried that they will file Bankruptcy in January and sometimes they don't honor gift cards when that happens. I have about $5 to go.....I am not too worried about the SCR rebates as those are run by an outside company.

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a GREAT holiday season. Question about the colgate printable - are you talking about the one that is from an aetna booklet that is a pdf? that's the only one I find online and I don't want any of the dreaded beeps to happen to me

Also, if you register with Nature's Bounty, you can print the coupon a bunch of times, just keep hitting back and retry.

So glad to hear the 3/15 didn't beep.

Speaking of clueless employees, at last week's freebie sale, the manager actually told me and my sister that if we paid with ecb's, we wouldn't get ecb's back because that "was like not paying for it"! We just looked at her in shock and said please, just try it. When it did, she said, well look at that! Uh, yeah, that's why we do it. Then she said that she had to learn how to do that. She has been manager there for the 10 months I have been cvs'ing and she has checked me out many, many times, and my sister too. Hasn't she paid attention to even one transaction She didn't even know she had to scan her own card to use the 29.99 joint health ecb, so my sister had a ton out of pocket. My casher, right next to her, knew about this, so asked the manager to scan her card for my ecb, but the manager didn't pick up that this was what the cashier was doing! It's not such a hard program to figure out!
