CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 11/16-11/22

No $5/2 battery coupons or peelies on any packages (taken off) in 3 stores here, so someone made the rounds :(

I just got back from CVS. I did 3 different transactions of Duracell batteries on 1 card and 2 on the other. The $5/2 Q did not beep.

There was one problem I encountered ( I had read this on another board). If you hand the cashier the $5/2 coupon before ECBs the register will not allow you to use an ECB over $5.

The way around this is to hand over your large ECBs first then then the $5/2. Sounds crazy but it worked.

Its true....thats why my 10.00 ECB wouldnt work:headache: The manager was trying everything to put it in....well, its good to know. It drives me a little nuts when the cashier wont listen..she sometimes puts my ecb first then my coupons:confused3 Well, I did my deal. I was 4 cents shy of getting my ecb and i had to buy another pack:) but thats ok...i think its a great deal

Always, always hand over coupons first. This way if you come up a little short, you can grab something small (like gum) to make up the difference.
That's my secret!

Okay, another dumb question... sorry. I was unable to find any of the $5.00 coupons but think it is still a great deal. But now that I see the batteries are 9.99 a pack do I have to buy three $9.99 packs in order to get the $15.00 ECB'S? Or can I buy another smaller pack that is not on sale, or am I completely missing it and there is another method to this madness?? Thank you!

Does anyone know what Coke products are counted towards the Wall-E deal? Will Dr. Pepper count or any root beer brand? We don't drink Coke or Diet Coke and my kids will barely drink Sprite but they love Root Beer and Ginger ale.

Just a heads up, if you get the Loreal Procalcium Sheer Tint that's free after ecb's, be sure to check that your color matches the box. They come in 2 colors: light and medium. I wasn't aware of this and just picked up the first box I saw and didn't realize it til I got home.

I don't have any of the $5/2 Duracell coupons.:headache: So, here is what I am going to do. I will buy two of the $9.99 packs and one of the $5.99 packs. That comes out the cheapest "per battery" without coupons when you do the math. And at 7:17 A.M., doing math gives me a major headache, but for this kind of deal it is worth it!:cool1:

It is just way too early for me to figure this out - but wouldn't it be better to buy one $9.99 pack and then buy two $5.99 packs? Especially if you have some of the .75 coupons? Hhhmmm, I guess I'm going to have to really try hard to figure this out in the next few minutes!:goodvibes

I know I am probably going to "get in trouble" for this post, but this really irks me! I was searching the net for some Duracell coupons. I saw that someone had some of the $5/2 coupons listed on Ebay. They were selling them in groups of 10 and had 6 available for $9.50 each. That means that the seller had 60 coupons. The only way to get those coupons, I assume, was to take them off of a tear pad at CVS. That doesn't seem right to me. I know we are all trying to save money and make money, but I don't like this idea. It is one thing if you get coupons in your newspaper or a magazine and sell them, but to take them from a store and sell them. Hmmmm???

Yeah I agree with you. That's just unethical.

I also agree with this 100%!! :thumbsup2

I am sure you already are aware of this, but wanted to post just in case it helps someone. There are coupons from a while back for the Glade Glass Scents, BOGO Free. So if you have two coupons, buy 4 glass scents and you will save $5.00 in coupons plus qualify for the Buy $10.00 get $5.00 ECB's offer. And then there were Glade Coupons that were Buy one Glade Scented oil refill pack and get a free glade scented oil warmer up to $8.99 value. So I bought the special refill packs that included a refill and warmer on sale for $2.99 (or you could buy the 2-pk. refills at $3.99) and then picked out the most expensive glade scented oil warmers which were $6.99 - which depending on how you do it will qualify you for another Glade $5.00 ECB. I hope some of this is making sense because it sure does sound confusing to me - but honest it works! I just got back!

But a word of caution.... at my CVS I purchased three 12 packs of Coke, 3 2-liter bottles of Sprite and 7 Vitamin waters - which should of been $20.00 total. But when I got to the car I noticed I did not get my Wall - E coupon. It took me a while to figure it out but the register rang the 12 packs of Coke at $3.33 each which meant my total came to $9.99 so I did not get a coupon. Quickly remedied by buying one more 2 - liter, but I was not expecting to have to do that. When I talked to the cashier about it - she said they do this all the time, and she hears a lot about it from people. Just thought I'd give you a heads up!:goodvibes

And finally - I was never able to find the $5/2 Duracell coupons but I did find quite a few peelies for #1.00 off a pack and they are CVS coupons which meant I wqas able to combine them with the .75 man. coupons I already had. Which really was not too bad because I saved $1.75 per pack (instead of the $2.50). And my cashier let me use $1.00 coupons for Duracell hearing aid batteries, when I fell short of the .75 ones.

Those of you asking about the shelf life of batteries - mine are dated for 2015! I know we'll use them by then!

Happy CVS'ing everyone!

As much as I love CVSing, I have to get out. We just found out that our life savings was wiped out by a man we trusted for 10+ years. This was money we were living on right now because my husband lost his job a few weeks ago. Now I don't even know how we're going to pay rent.

I'll be using my last few ECBs to buy essentials we need like saline solution and deodorant. I know I can keep rolling them, but there's no point when I don't need the stuff. I tried to sell some extra stuff I had at our garage sale yesterday, but nothing sold.

I'm really going to miss cvs-ing. I always loved trying to find the deals.

I've just started using CVS and saving ECBs. I wanted to know if I do a couple of ECB promotions and my receipt prints out that I have 20.00 dollard in ECB's and I make a purchase with them for 5.00, will it then print out that I have 15.00 in ECBs left or do I lose the 15.00 leftover ECBs since it was on one receipt??

I have 6 transactions planned for this morning! The cashier is going to think i'm crazy!;)

i'll check back later!:thumbsup2

I am totally new to all of this. Could somebody explain to me a little about the ECB and the combining coupons? Also I am assuming that I have to have a special card for this, can I just get one of these in the store when I go in?

Just wanted to let everyone know that I did the battery deal 3 times on each card today. I used the $5/2 coupon on each transaction and didn't have any problems. It went right through...no beeps or anything about it being used already on that card. Between peelies that I found, the $5/2 and some $1 q's from the paper, each transaction cost me $1.03 OOP (I did 1 $9.99 and 2 $5.99 per transaction). So, $120+ worth of batteries for $6 :cool1:

Oh, and they had 8 pk of AA with a little bonus screw driver in it that were ringing up as $5.99. Those were really cute!

So sorry to hear Rachel. Best wishes to you guys, I hpe things turn around quickly for you.

You will get a seperate ECB for each promotion. So if you do 4 promotions that paid 5 ecb's each, you would get 4 seperate $5 ECBs.
You have to use then entire ECB during a purchase, or you lose the extra.

I am totally new to all of this. Could somebody explain to me a little about the ECB and the combining coupons? Also I am assuming that I have to have a special card for this, can I just get one of these in the store when I go in?
Yes, you can get your CVS card at the cashier counter. It only takes a few minutes.

Oh my what a tragedy! I am sorry to hear about this. I hope all works out for you!

You must spend all of an ECB in a transaction. So for example, if you do the battery deal this week, you will get back 1 $15 ECB. On your next transaction, your after coupon total needs to be over $15 or you will lose the remainder of the ECB.

There are some great deals this week, but they all generate large ECB which are sometimes harder to spend. Worst case scenario if you can't find something to roll over is to buy something you would get at the grocery store, like Milk or cereal. Then what I do is take that cash from my grocery budget and put the cash into my CVS envelope.
