Cuttlekid questions?

What is the deal with the white paper backing? Are these dies lesser quality than the others?
Can they be used with sidekick or big kick?

Dies are cute, but certainly don't need ANOTHER toy!

I bought the cuttlekid fairy alphabet set and it goes through my sidekick just like the quickutz. It also goes through the regular cuttlebug machine. It's very cute. Might have to go buy the pig die and the penguin die next. maggie

rofl, I know what ya mean... dd is totally into pigs so we have quite the collection of pigs. I have several pig stamps, the qk pig... I haven't seen the penguin in the store yet, but I'm keeping my eye out for it. maggie

ps: the disney dies are too wide for the sidekick but they apparently work in the regular sizzix. (I know there is a thread around here someplace about how to make them work)

I know what you mean about the backing. I was really disappointed when I got my pirates Cuttlekids dies. They just give the impression that they aren't going to stand up to long term use, you know? But dang, are they cute!

I think they're okay - the plate inside is still sturdy enough to cut enough Bazzill for a swap. I'm just being careful with the way I handle & store them - moreso than I am with the Sizzlits with their plastic backs.

Maggie I like the way you used the term " I SHOULD stop" as opposed to the
I "could stop" in which case it would be a possibilty .

I used the cuttlekid dies with their proper "cutting pads" and put them through the Big Kick using the platform. Worked like a charm!

Gotta look out for the penguin.
