So, my wife and I have had 4 (FOUR!!!) Disney cruises cancelled because of the 'rona, we finally gave up on getting on one for a while. I was poking around on the website tonight just for fun, and the prices looked much much lower than I expected. In all fairness, we are looking at Florida Resident rates, but we've always looked at Florida Resident rates so I feel as if I'm comparing apples to apples.

Why would this be? I thought reopening after covid would have the opposite effect? Are they having trouble getting people on for some reason? I'm stumped.

Do you have the right number of people listed? One time I got so excited by the price then realized I only had 2 (not 4 people) in the stateroom.

I always check for 2.

But just for context, theres a 3 night verandah stateroom cruise i can book right now for less than 1200 dollars total for 2 people. Ive never seen it that low before.

It's a challenge to travel between countries right now, so there are fewer cruisers from Canada and Europe and Latin America than usual sailing out of Florida. Plus, if you're cruising now, you have to get a Covid test at port, and run the risk of being turned away from your cruise if anyone in your travel party tests positive, and that's a deal-breaker for many people. Plus, masks are still required indoors, and that's a deal breaker for some. Plus, some people are afraid of travel, particularly flying and cruising, right now due to Covid. Etc., etc. Travel won't be back to pre-pandemic levels for a while.

Go for it if you are comfortable going. I would love to take a cruise right now, but we have a kid in school and would have to travel from out of state. My friends who live in Orlando have taken a few DCL cruises since they started back up and had a great time.
