Curious about values ?

I went to a venue to eat and had a meal. And it was an amazing meal in Brisbane Australia. And the bill came to 110 dollars. For just me with one glass of plum wine and soft drinks. Had some sushi and some rice and two appetizers and one main. The meal was not fine dining even though its high end. It is a venue that I love and enjoy eating at. I am just wondering is USA much cheaper than Australia or does the Disney Community not value food as much as I do. I try to be organic and sustainable Or am I missing something. I am asking because on the DisUnplugged they say 60 dollars is expensive. But I tend to think that is a bargain

Depends. I live in NYC so a nice place easily runs $100. But I don't go to multiple nice meals daily for a week so $60 really adds up. Then there are many areas far less expensive and a nice meal can be $40. Sorry, don't think I addressed anything, just adding my 2 cents. To me, frequency is a factor.

Out of curiosity are you revaluing the cost of your meal to US dollars or are you stating that in Australian dollars? If that is in Australian dollars, then it would be more like 78 in US dollars.

This poster hit the nail on the head. I'm in the SE US in a decent sized city for this region and I could easily get a meal for under $40 that was very nice. Now there are places here I could spend much more but I would liken those places to a Disney signature restaurant. WDW prices are far higher for what you get than where I live. However, I wouldn't expect to go to NYC and pay what I pay here so I don't go to WDW expecting that either.
