I am finally using crutches! Even got myself up and dressed by myself. And I have conquered the step where I fell! I can get up and down it without feeling terrified and having my husband help.

Jim and I are going out to celebrate.

Congratulations on reaching a big milestone.

Do you still have a cast? And if you do, when do you get to have it off?

Here is some low fat, sugar free strawberry cheesecake for your dessert. Hope you have a nice dinner with your DH.

I have a removable walking cast on now> Much nicer than the hard cast. I can take it off to bathe so I finally feel clean again. That stays on until at least the end of August.

Removeable is a whole lot better than the other kind. I remember when my DD had casts on both legs. It took a while before I felt like she was clean again.
Good luck for your continued recovery.
