Okay...have to work tomorrow so I finished day 2 tonight....
Part …I have no Idea! 5 I think??
Day 2!!

HOLD ON!!! I remembered one more thing that I forgot to take that I reallllllyyyy could have used……a beach bag or tote!! (all of you
Castaway Club members wouldn’t understand….since you all got some as gifts….humpfff!)
Okay, so we hit the sack early our first night. The waters were calm the whole cruise (except Wed. night when the boat was swaying..But DH says it was the Patron…not the ship?????

)
The beds are sooooo cozy! We all fall asleep immediately. Sometime during the night I get up to the sound of one of my kids coughing….I can’t figure out which one it is…so I head over in the dark to see….only the closer I get to the kids, the farther I get from the coughing…it’s not MY kids coughing….it is then that I realize…it is a child in the adjoining room coughing!!! OMG!

I honestly thought the noise was in my room! We continue to hear the neighbor family throughout the trip. Usually with coughing kiddie during the night, or at 5:30am when they wake up! One morning I actually heard someone stirring their coffee! Honestly, I don’t think they were being unusually loud…and I am sure they heard us (DD meltdown #1, 4 and 7 were particularly boisterous!) But I will never have an adjoining room again…unless of course I am adjoining with a loved one-even then..Maybe not! Okay, enough about the “not really noisy family”. (BTW DH DD and DS deny ever hearing NRNF at all during the night)
We get up the next morning in no real rush which was nice! We decide to try Lumineres for brunch. It was nice…the food was a bit fancy for the kids, but they enjoyed the pastry tray which the asked for 3 times. I recommend trying a sit down breakfast once during the trip….only once! Room service and the buffet are way more fun!!
We head to the pool….I expected never to find a seat…fighting over chairs….saving seats ….but alas, I found none of the above! After just a few minutes we find to chairs by the family pool! Both had used towels on them, but a little inquiring lead us to believe no one had occupied them in some time…so we ditched the dirty towels and claimed our stake! (No one came and dumped us out either, so I am safe in assuming I didn’t steal!!) We had a blast! I think we tried all of the food up on deck 9 that first day. At that point I really had no idea where I was in relation to everything else! To get ice cream I basically had to just walk in circles until I found it! Let me tell you….the food was awesome! I read about the chicken tenders and fries on the DIS and thought to myself, what could possibly be so darn good about tenders and fries….BUT LET ME TELL YA…..HELLO! YUMMY!

Basically I had the same response with everything I tried! Pizza….HELLO! YUMMY!

(You get the idea!)
The kids wanted to try the clubs….so DH and I said….”KAY! LET’S GO! Hurry up now….”
DH and I heading to the adult pool…relaxed, had a cocktail or two and HEAVEN!!

We actually see the kids go by on deck 10 a couple times to and from the Sports Deck…they see us having fun without them…a curious expression crosses their face…sort of like “what the heck are they doing enjoying themselves without us??” You know the look!
I take a sip of my drink….close my eyes and smile!!
We eventually go and get the kids! DD leaves without an effort….(Lily wasn’t there) but DS would rather DIE than leave! NEW BBF(best buddies forever) Jacob and Christian are there….how could he ever leave them….what would they do….”Jake, lets go check out the arcade!” See ya later guys!!
Arcade was fun…we love us some air hockey! There were just a few others in there and we had no waiting.
Sometime this day we went to the Wine tasting AND the Martini tasting…yes, both in one day!! Wine was enjoyable…educational, subdued. Martini tasting……..educational, funner (yes funner)…lots of DISers! We laughed a lot! I spent a good portion of this class eyeing up a chatty gal up in the front of the room….I got a vibe from her! A friendly vibe….A DIS VIBE! She hadn’t been to the DIS meet, but I mentioned to DH (who already thinks I wacko with the DIS stuff) that I think that is Kim….No, I must be wrong….but I felt a vibe! If that isn’t Kim….I HAVE TO FIND HER before the cruise is over!
See, Kim was a late bloomer to our trip meet site…but she added life to the thread….I actually laughed so hard after I spit Pepsi out my nose after reading one of her posts…(okay, maybe TMI) I will not leave the ship without finding ILOVEDCL!!
We get the kids…head back to get ready for the show and dinner. DD is the first to shower…”MOM! I LUB THE SHUB” This turns into one of our catch phrases this trip! Here are some other favorites:
“Fabulous” (used to describe just about anything on the ship)
“HUNEY, take m-eye pitcher” (said in my best southern accent after watching this cute couple take a dozen of the silliest shots of each other in the lobby…and uttering this saying each time)
and the infamous...."HELLO! YUMMY!"
Back to the shub! After a few minutes of quiet in the shub, DD yells out…….HELP, I FLOODED THE SHUB!! I open the door to see water covering the bathroom floor. It turns out DD didn’t like the curtain touching her with she shubbed. So she pushed the curtain to the outside of the shub ledge. Moral…..don’t do that!
Good times, good times!!
That night at dinner I order a bottle of Conundrum as recommended by some wine experts on the DIS……it was wonderful…although I was thrown off by the twist top…..but DH and I enjoyed it! We had a bit left, so Diana screwed that top back on and we finished it the next night!
(okay...sidebar here....After re-reading this post myself...it sounds like we drank a lot today....just so you know, it was a very long day!!)
This was SUPERBOWL night!! How cool watching the Super bowl on the Dumbotron! And I don’t even like football! It was fun..DD and I left before the end of the game and DS and DH hung in till the end! DH tells me that later in the game some Superdad was playing ball up on the stage with a bunch of the kids…DS had a blast! Thanks Superdad…where ever you are!!
A wonderful day at sea!
