Cruising on the Disney Dream for Halloween 2014

My friend went on our last cruise with us. It was her first cruise. She was not a Disney fan or hater really. She later went on a free cruise on Carnival with her own room for work. She was not prepared for the difference in the two. I have heard Royal is very similar.

Hi all. Pretty sure we will be booking this cruise. We leave In 32 hours for our 6th DCL cruise. But first one. On the Dream. We plan to book on board. It was between this one and a dec cruise. But my favorite holiday is Halloween. So prob ths one. It will be me and dh and at least 2kids.

Hooray! Glad you won the costume contest. Were many adults dressed up? I've heard such conflicting reports on the Halloween festivities. What was your take on it?

Were you on a 3 night or 4 night? Did they have Halloween and pirate night the same night? Was wondering if it was the 2nd night and wondering if they will switch it for us since we board on Halloween.

Yes Halloween was on Pirate night. Which was a booooo. I thought.

But a lot of people were dressed up. I would say half half. Pirate/Halloween.

The Adult functions were same as normal. Close to lame.

But what was the best adult thing I have ver done on ANY cruise was we had a PUB CRAWL. One person led it. And we had different drinks at every bar. We had trivia question at each bar. Some answered funny some answered for real. There were prizes awarded. I found that drinking a whole drink was out of the question so I just did a shot of what ever was in the drink they were drinking.

But I will be glad to head one up if anyone will be interested. We had a lot of adults only sailors. But even with kids there is the kids club and nursery.

We were on the 3 nit and it was the 2 nd night.

I know it will be hard for everyone to get ready if they have the festivities on the first night. I can't imagine what they will do. And unfortunately they wouldn't tell us ahead of time.

Maybe they will this time around. But I say if they don't tell us then the costumes will be in our carry ons.

Will be all adults again. Unless my oldes son goes and then it will be my new grandchild too.

All day yesterday I kept this...this time next year, I'll be doing ____. I think a pub crawl might be fun. Not sure I could drink one in every bar either but still sounds fun. If I can stay awake. Lolol.

Our group this time is all "adults" except our youngest will be only 18. It will be different for him to not have a group this time.

I can't believe I'm posting here I'm calling to book today! This will be our very first cruise!!!

Our first trip to WDW was in May 2011.. I'll be going back for my 5th trip this December, 6th time in June and 7th in October 2014 with the cruise following. Disney has changed my life, gave me a job (travel agent) and I just LOVE it! I can't wait to experience this part of Disney!!!

This is my first post. My husband and I will be taking our first Disney Cruise Dream on October 31, 2014.

We will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary.

We just booked this cruise yesterday Our 1st Disney Cruise. We are Dh, Myself, DD 9yrs and her Friend 12yrs. We are doing 2 nights before the Cruise at ASMo and then 11 nights after it at POR. Then on to Harry Potter We are so looking forward to this long trip !

I am interested in this Fish Extender and not sure how we sign up ??? I have a year to think of what to make and get it made

And we will celebrate my birthday while we are on the cruise too
