My family is going to be taking a cruise to the western caribbean next summer. We have 4 kids who will be 14, 6, 3, and 1 years old when we travel. When I try to book it online it won't let me have more than 2 kids in a room. I was really hoping we could all be in one room (a delxue family oceanview room). Is this possible? Even if it is possible, is it going to be too crowded? Should we just get to rooms? This is our first cruise so we aren't quite sure about size. We were figuring we would bring a pack n play for the 1 year old to sleep in.

The most any one room can hold is 5. You have 6 people - you'll need 2 rooms. One adult and 2 kids in each room. The ship supplies pack n plays for the baby, no need to bring your own.

I'll also point out not all rooms can hold 5. Some only hold 4 or even 3.

As mentioned by PP, you'll need 2 rooms. You can get connecting rooms, though, and keep the door open between them. One adult must be booked into each room, however once onboard you can mix-and-match who sleeps in which room. It will be much more comfortable as well -- plus 2 bathrooms (or 4 counting the split-baths)!

Enjoy your cruise!

The rooms are very small. I would like at the square footage of the room you are interested in and compare it to a hotel in which you have stayed. Plus, as others said, can't book more than 5 in a room.

You are probably trying to book a room that only holds four people....that is why you can only book two of your children. As PP's stated, the most a room can hold is 5. The two-bedroom suites and royal suites hold more people but are very expensive. Your best bet is to get connecting rooms. I suggest a travel agent that specializes in Disney cruises to help you sort out your options.

Yes, on the Magic & Wonder there are two categories that will hold 7 people. I figured since OP was talking about a western Caribbean cruise, we were talking about the Fantasy. On the Fantasy there are no 2 room suites and the most any room (even the Royal suite) can hold is 5. But not all rooms do.

You could get a suite and a connecting room.

Rooms sleep up to 5 people so you'll have to book two (one adult in each room). We were tempted to squeeze the 5 of us in one room, but then compared prices and discovered that 2 connecting rooms in category 9B was approximately the same price the 1 family room we were looking at that included a verandah. We chose to forgo the verandah, took the connecting rooms and wound up with nearly twice as much space AND having two bathrooms was a HUGE help for us. Getting ready to book our second Disney cruise and plan to have the same setup.
