Well we are driving in non-stop from central PA, leaving about 7-8pm Thursday night and expect to arrive around lunch time at the Raddison.
We can drive to Cocoa Beach.
We can check in if the room is ready or head to the beach for a few hours.

Is there a certain area of the beach we should look for or also avoid??? Any spot near the Ron Jon shop ok?? We never were on the FL atlantic beaches but were at Clearwater a few times in the gulf.

Seems easier to just take the hotel shuttle to the port, thanks again for your insight!

Cocoa Beach - 5-10 mins from the Radisson. We usually just use the parking lot behind the Ron Jon Surf Shop and use access to the beach there. Usually some people but it has never felt crowded at all, nice area (in my opinion).

The key to eating at Fish Lips is to go a little bit earlier than the "dinner" crowd, our group meet there last year at 4:00pm and it was not crowded at all, now the service for food was slow, but we enjoyed chatting with each other and having a drink while waiting, so it wasnt a big deal.

Im thinking maybe we will try the Steakhouse this time... Will really depend on how tired we are after a day of flights and shopping at RonJon :rolleyes1 We may just have pizza delivered to our room, lol.

Hello Fellow Cruisers....

This is our first 7 night cruise. We have done the last two as 4 night cruises. Is there anything major that is different as far as activities that take place on the ship? I thought I saw someone mention a talent show in another post but wasn't sure what cruise it was for. Just trying to be prepared with packing specialty items, etc.

Thanks!!!

Hello!
I think there is a talent show, but we never participate. There is a character breakfast on the 7 nighters. It will be assigned to you. It was a lot of fun last year for us. They have teas with Alice, Wendy, etc. you have to have a special/free ticket for it. If interested get it ASAP, guest services once you board. More tastings for the adults. Formal night, usually semi-formal on the shorter cruises. They also have a semi-formal night as well. Captain reception before dinner one night=free pre-made adult drinks . That is all I can think of right now. Hope this helps! Jennifer

That ALL sounds pretty great!! Thanks for the heads up. Makes me wish the cruise was tomorrow!!!

Has anyone done the talent show? My daugther heard about this and she wants to do it because she thought it would be fun but I'm not sure how serious it is? ie, costumes, have her create a routine in advance, that type of thing or is it more casual and laid back where everyone is doing silly talent stuff? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks!

Thank you, I have updated your dining and added your email address, you should get an email with the most current FE :) Please dont forget to get me cabin number once you have it....

We are actually coming in the 19th. I checked and the rate is the same ($45 a day)but it looks like its based on a 2 day rental.....

I think that restaurant is usually packed and hard to get food unless you are willing to wait.

Try U341012 or Z844147 or S208200 $68 for a one day rental on a minivan.

Costco member? W852800 and pay now is $65

Thank so much for the info, we only need for 24 hrs. May check Fishlips out for a late lunch/early dinner since Nickicares says it isn't too busy before 4pm.

All this new talk--making me excited as well!

Looking at the photos from the Fantasy now, and just about 65 days left!

Its a fun experience, I think you will enjoy it!

Hard to believe that we have only about 65 days before sailing! I am so excited to see the Fantasy in person... I know if it is as beautiful as the Dream it will take my breath away!

Don't get me wrong I still have a soft spot for the classic ships for the "cozy" more comfortable atmosphere, but love the technology and 'newness' of the Dream and soon to be Fantasy!

OH heck, who am I kidding - I love EVERYTHING DISNEY!

Someone posted this link to a new Youtube video on the Fantasy.

Here's a link that was posted elsewhere on the dis with lots of interior photos of the Fantasy. I really like what they did with the lobby chandelier.

Hi, just booked yesterday for this cruise and it will be me, dh, dd15 and ds9 (rest of family can't make it).

We are so excited to be sailing the Fantasy!!

Going to try and read this thread and see how many familiar cruisers there are :)

The Fantasy looks even more Retro in style (if that's possible) than the other ships, Beautiful! Thanks for posting.:cool1:

Hi everyone, just joining in too!! We just booked this cruise yesterday as well and are so excited to be seeing the Fantasy so soon.

It will be myself, my DD17 and DS9. It will be their first times seeing the new ships and had to take daughter to be in the Vibe before she turns 18. We will barely make it since her birthday is on the 28th when we disembark!
