Getting on/off the trolley will slow you down. It won't be going exactly where you might want it to go in the loop. I think an electric cart will be your best bet. The train doesn't make scheduled stops, but the trolley does.

The Scavenger Hunt people are going to stop by and introduce themselves to the "ScavengEar Group". I'm asking them if they can hide a set of Mickey Mouse Ears for our group. I think that might be fitting, in addition to "Pinky". What do you all think? Ears, too?

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Tina-- I think the 'ears' are a great idea! And you're probably right about the cart, as long as we can find our way around all right, etc.

Colleen

Between the scavenger hunt map and the map that the electric cart place gives you, you might even have an edge over the walkers.

The Scavenger Hunt people said that they will definitely hide a set of Mickey Ears for us. I think that will be fun! We'll have to find Pinky and Mickey Ears.

Tina :)

Bad news--I just checked the Forbes list of billionaires and guess what--I'm not on it so that means I still have to work today!!

padisneyfan--I'm up for a Lancaster meet anywhere--maybe shop at Rockvale or go see a show at Sight and Sound!! This would be better for the MD/PA/NY people and then I would also be up for a PA/OH meet--always wanted to see Falling Waters or Falling River or whatever the Frank Lloyd Wright house was called!!

GoofyNut--are you in for a meet--if Art couldn't go, I have no problem driving--we could make a day out of the Lancaster one--go check out some of the quilt shops, go to Kitchen Kettle--the possibilities are endless!!

Dan--are you out there? How far is Sea World from you?? I know it is in Aurora so not sure where you are in relation to there--I guess I could go on Mapquest but I'm being lazy!!

Gotta go--my boss is coming out and he doesn't even know that I have the internet at my desk!

Nancy-have a safe trip to IUP--the snow missed us this time!!

Mary Jo,

Sea World was bought out by Six Flags, so now the old Geuaga Lakes and Sea World together make up Six Flags Worlds of Adventure! The park goes around the whole lake now!

We are about 50 mins from there.

Dan

DH and I will be at Seven Springs the first weekend in May. We were planning on doing Falling Waters that weekend because all the renovations shoild be done now.
We will have a couple hours free on Saturday or may be able to get together after noon on Sunday if a PA/OH meet is in the works. The rest of the time I will be attending classes.

As for the MD/NY/PA meet - I haven't been to Lancaster in at least 10 years. Also have never been to a Cracker Barrell. We'd be interested in meeting.

Yes we went to Six Flags last year. It is really nice, really big now. They have tons of roller coasters, they built 6 the first year. It is not as nice as WDW what what do you expect. The old Sea World looked to be suffering a little, not many people there and the shows were like only 3-4 per day. I remember when Sea World pack people in daily and the shows were about every hour or so and was always packed. Last year was the 2nd year for the combined parks and they only got a killer whale last summer.

A funny story about our old penguins. They were just recently sent to the SanDiego Sea World and for some reason they trained all the other penguins to walk in a group around the pool, Sea World was not sure what was going on, they had never seen it before. So they drained the pool, and so the penguins then just walked on the bottom of the pool in circles. Us Ohioians are crazy!

Dan

I just looked at the post numbers and thought I'd share a little funny with you guys!

Viking, Papa, Tulirose and me combined have more than half of the posts to this thread! LOL

And to think that Rosemary and I were afraid that we would be shy toward each other when meeting on the ship in 2001.

Dan

Windermere--I am up to a meet with the Ohio crew and I have always wanted to do Falling Waters--do you know how to get information on Falling Waters--just do a search on that? Feel free to e-mail me with info if you have it.

BTW--Windermere--do you live near Philadelphia--not quite sure where Boothwyn was located and I was guessing Bucks county.
(love Bucks county--Peddlers Village and New Hope!!)

Have been emailing GoofyNut since yesterday and it turns out that Art knows someone who used to work at the hospital with me and now works with him and someone Cathy knows works at the hospital (don't know her but will have to look her up)--its a small world!! Hope Karen didn't tell Art that I was an escaped convict or anything--only kidding!!

My daughter is thrilled that we've met so many people--she won't have to do the macarena or electric slide with me--my husband is a terrible dancer (we won't even go there!!) so I make Sarah be my dance partner--little embarrasing for a 13 year old to be seen dancing with their mother!! She's hoping someone will rescue her!!

Ave'--Sarah is thrilled to have found your daughter--she informed me that they both speak the same computer language and both like Sponge Bob and Harry Potter!!

Did you guys see the sale that Disney.com has today? They have the fleece throws that were in the catalog for $38.50 over Christmas for just $7.49. I'm going to buy some presents, they will never know the price!

Dan

MaryJo ... Once the weather is "better" we have to set up something. If the hubbies won't go ... what the heck, we will.

WELL FINALLY ... the Survivor Girls are finally getting the hint about shelter, food & water.

OMG I have to get back to work .... this pile is just not going away.

Cathy with @ C

All the talk about Cracker Barrel is making me hungry. We don't have Cracker Barrel up here in Canada but we visit them whenever we go down to the US. Love the shops too. For the drive down we always stop and get a CD and then change them on the way down and on the way back. It's a great way to pass the time.

We don't have Steak and Shake here in Canada either. We do have Tim Hortons though which is a donut shop and there are 2 on the I75 in Ohio -- must stops for us.

Have to go and do some work -- it's the last day of the month which is always busy.

Fiona

Fiona,

Tim Hortons is owned by Wendy's which has it's world headquarters in Columbus. Columbus has tons of Tim Hortons/Wendys stores.

Just thought you'd like to know.

Dan

Dan,

That is great to know. We might have to come down and visit. Tim Horton was actually a Cdn hockey player who started the franchise here in Canada (I think in the 60's) and it was bought out by Wendy's a few years back. It's very popular here and is slowing moving into the US -- didn't know that Wendy's headquarters were in Ohio but that makes sense that the first Tim's was in Ohio.
