Tina,

Did you happen to check out the Scavenger hunt people with the BBB? Just curious. I am going to check now.

Dan

Hi, Dan-- No, we can't make it to the meet this time. I told Tuffcookie to eat extra cookies for us. We found out we live only a couple of blocks from each other. Don has to work and it's Josh's birthday tomorrow, so we'll be pretty tied up.

Colleen

We lucked out only 2" of snow. So we will be leaving for the hockey tournament around 1pm.

Maybe the Lancaster area would be a good location for the MD/NY/PA group to get together. Plus there were some people from the 9/28 cruise who live close who might want to come if that would be ok with everyone. Tina it would only be at most a 2 hour ride for you. I think that there is a Cracker Barrel near the Rockvale outlets. I will check that out once the weather gets nice.

Arlene-- I don't think that I welcomed you. So welcome aboard. I'm sorry if I didn't welcome anyone else.

Fiona--- I see you are making progress with getting DS up for school. For some reason, I don't think stars will work as an incentive. Now if money was involved that would work.

I'm currently at work so I better do some so I can leave at noon. To bad I'm not traveling south, instead of west. Oh well, we will get to spend the weekend with DS#2. My DS#1 (Erik) birthday is Sunday, but he is staying at college to celebrate and going to a Jello Wrestling Contest for his birthday. I guess you have to be a young male to appreciate that.

Got to go. Will catch up with all the posting on Monday.

Nancy

I can't find a listing for them through BBB so I guess no listing is good. I would just hate for all of us to lose $20

Dan

While I was posting Dan was on a posting marathon. Dan-- Lancaster would be further than 4 hours as it is about 4 hours from the Ohio border to Lancaster going on the turnpike. How far are you from the border?

Colleen-- Happy Birthday to Josh. How is the weight loss going?

As you can see, I still haven't left my office to do any work.

Nancy

Dan-- Cruise cookies would be great! Maybe I should ask her! ;)

Nancy-- Happy Birthday to your Erik also! Jello wrestling? Have a safe trip. Oh, weight loss is going ok. I was down 4 pounds in two weeks, then stayed the same this week. I guess that happens now and then.

Colleen

dan,

I actually called the Key West Chamber of Commerce and they are just fine. Actually, outstanding. They've been in business for about 1 1/2 years. They do private groups for big corporations, wedding, groups like ours and straglers at a set time everyday.

Tina :)

Tina-- The scavenger hunt place does have a big list of impressive clients, etc. I think I saw that on their site somewhere.

I'm leaning more and more to probably getting a cart. I just don't see MIL walking that much, especially since it will more than likely still be pretty hot down there. Or... could we still do the trolley thing and just hop on and off to incorporate the hunt with that? Hmmm, wonder what the costs would be compared to the cart!

Colleen

Nancy he is a link to the cracker barrel website where you can find out store locations: Stores

I really do need to get to work. But can't get away from this board.

Mike Thanks for the Cracker Barrel link. Yes, there is one right there at the Rockvale Outlets. So we can eat, meet and shop. Life doesn't get any better than that. However, I feel bad that the Ohio people are out of the loop. I don't know if we want to move further west, but then the NY people may not be able to come. Maybe we will just have to have 2 meets PA/OH and then PA/MD/NY. Though we still have that FL option, where we all go to either Amy or Ave's house. If we are doing it in Lancaster since I am the closest, I will be glad to organize something.

Later,
Nancy

Just did some research.
Looks like the carts are running $39/hour or $129 for four hours. The trolley is $20 adults/ $10 kid to age 12. So, the trolley would cost only $70 for our group of four. Oh, there's also a 10% discount on the trolley tickets if purchased online and they don't expire.
I don't see anything on the cart rental sites about group rates, but that might be a possibility too.

Do you think the trolley would be a workable alternative to the cart?

Colleen

Maybe I'm confused... not for the first time. I thought the trolley stopped and you could get on and off at the stops, but the train didn't stop.
