Hello Nancy and the group.
Nancy, Kathy has pm you and hope that you are able to cruise with us next year. This is going to be a great cruise. Hope that the rain slacks off for you Eric and that there are some beautiful leaves left you you and Anja to enjoy.

It is kind of hard to type with one thumb stuck up in the air over the keyboard. The way I type though it is not a hinderance to my accuracy or speed Kind of a hunt and peck type of typist even after two classes in high school/ That was 34 years ago

You proved one more time that the kitchen is the most dangerous place in a house. This is the main reason for us to mainly use the telephone for cooking (Two pizzas and some icecream please, Mr. Domino!). Anja says "Hi and Get Well Soon", too!!!

Windy on the 09/28 cruise Cathy with a "C" from Pa made name tags for all of us so that we wouldn't have too many senior moments. They were fantastic, so much easier to look at a name tag than trying to remember.

The storm is through!! Fortunately is wasn't so severe in Frankfurt, but it cost 10 lives in Germany, some roofs, some derailed trains, smashed cars, etc.

Went back to the ER today for a wound check and new bandage. Stitches come out in 7 days. Thanks for all the good wishes. Bette it was in the upper 60's low 70's today here. We are still running around in tee shirts and shorts. It is supposed to cool down into the 40's by friday.

Have our fingers crossed for you and your paw Cathy. I know things will be ok so I am giving you a big thumbs up bandage and all for your recovery. I sliced it with a knife Saturday morning cutting potatoes for breakfast. The first thing I told Kathy was don't worry I didn't bleed into the food.

Eric we are sorry to hear about the loss of life in Germany due to the weather. Glad that you and Anja are ok.

Mary hope that the oven is working now. Was it just a burnt out element? Mike

Spent Sunday on Shell Island with my Starfish Team. First time we ever got together just for Fun! Had a blast.

I have been in touch with DU re: DIS-Cruise meet. They want to help, but business being business they are only intrerested in us if we all booked through DU. I pled a good case (I think). We all use the DU Boards, use the businesses that sponser the Boards, tell our friends about the Boards, etc. After all, I don't think I would have ever booked had it not been for Rellingtwin. And I know I would have never rebooked for the 10/11/03 cruise if it hadn't been for the wonderful experience of cruising with the CruisEars!
If DU can help fine, if not we'll do it anyway! Later, Ave'

Art, Cathy & AshLee--I tried to PM you, but I got a message saying that your mailbox was full. So here's the update:

Riker is slowly improving each day. He is still restricted from stairs and long walks. We're down to three pills and four eye drops--most are three times a day. We still can't tell if he can see, but we're going to the eye doctor for another check tomorrow. He sleeps a lot, but that has always been one of his favorite things. He perks up whenever he hears "ride", "treat", and whenever the doorbell rings. I am so thankful that he seems happy. We hope to have him around for a long time.

Good Morning All:

After much thought, we have decided to do the Oct. 11th cruise on our own, with no children! I feel a little guilty, but they do get to go to disney plenty of other times. We haven't done anything on our own for quite some time. They are surely old enough to leave home with a good friend of mine staying with them. It will seem a little strange, but I am sure looking forward to CC on the adult beach! I know it is ages away, but it is nice to have somehting to look forward to.

Since we are doing that, we canceled our Wonder trip in March and applied that money to the Oct. trip. that, along with the deposit just about paid for the trip. WOO HOO. NOw we just have to get the airfare and the Radisson for the night before.

We are off to disneyland Thursday. Am looking forward to see the Haunted Mansion done up in Nightmare Before Christmas gear!

If there are any pin collectors out there who want us to pick up some particular pin, let me know. Will be happy to do that for you.

Elaine-- I've been a little busy with other things so haven't gotten around to sending you the pictures. I will try to get them out the next day or two. If Norm and I go on this cruise, we can be dinner mates again. We have to get George and Barb to sign on. The 9/28 was our first cruise without children and we so enjoyed the time together.

I have now placed all my Disney pins on my lanyard that we use for work so am very Disney with my earrings, pins, necklace, ring and watch. In fact one of my patients commented today that it made her feel better just looking at me with all the Disney stuff as when she thinks of Disney she only thinks good things. So I always wore Disney stuff trying to pretend I was at Disney instead of work, but now know that it may actually make the patients feel better.
