Nancy, I was going to post something about dining companions but didn't want to get too far ahead of the game!!! Now I feel better about it:D Let me know how all is going with you. We would love to sit with you at dinner. Would also love to have our same servers! We could request them. I called disney today and made all the changes. also got something from our credit card company saying we hav enow spent enough to get a free plane ticket! NOt sure if that is a good thing (as Martha would say) or not. :p

It is raining and dull here. I actually love it. The season change is wonderful. I even put the fireplace on this morning.

Eric, I will send you the revised information. It will actually bejust deleting the children. \\

I hope we can make it to Captain Marvins this time.
Looking forward to, to the yummy brunch at Palo's.

Mary and Ave: Hello to you and your husbands.
George and Barb if you are lurking at all please come and join us again. n George, your DVC person got in touch with us and we are joining. Trying to decide how many points we will need.
Well, off to fix supper. Elaine
P.S William says he would like to put music on here once in awhile.

Hello everyone,

We kept Katie last night and what a night that was!;) Her mom didn't bring her bassinet with her so she slept with Grandpa and Grandma and just flopped like a fish. I did not know that 5 month olds "flop" Then she would snuggle up under some part of your body and wake you up cause you were worried about smothering her. I kinda slept from 11pm to 3am then was up till almost 6 am and Grand pa took over. Yea!

So glad to hear that Riker is doing better.

Elaine! You will have so much fun that you will forget to feel guilty until you get home. ;) I miss mine so much when I am on the boat but it only takes 30 min to remember why we took the cruise in the first place.:o Sorry William. But I do enjoy most of your music selections. Elaine, I never liked fall weather in the past but this fall is nice for some reason. Very mellow. Temps today were in the 70's. Supposed to freeze Halloween night. Good! Maybe it will get rid of some of those mosquitoes.

Cathy with a "C" hope your paw is in working order in short order! Good luck tomorrow and God bless. I have you in my thoughts and prayers. K?

Nancy, I guess I just am too dumb to remember, but just where in the hospital do you work? I looked at your profile but just could not figure it out and Mike is not in here. ;) I am sorry to be...whatever I am. (Is it that "Old Timers Disease"?)

Hope we hear from George and Barbara and Dennis and Chrystina soon. Of course from everyone else too!

Take care everyone, Kathy with a "K";)

Dan & Scott,

congratulationss!! I'll change you from RED to GREEN. And I need some more info about Jean.

Eshannon,

"Deleting the children" sounds very mean, but sometimes it may be the the only way to handle the kids :jester:

Oh boy what a cruise this is turning into! Dan and Scott are going! Yah Whoo! Only two of my favorite people (there are a lot on this cruise).:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc That is great guys. BTW Katie has grown into the outfits you sent and she is a cutie. Mike took a picture of her in one of them but she was in a snit and was THROWING DOWN! So when you see her picture it isn't the clothes, it is an attitude at that moment. My sweet DGD can have 'tude.

HI everybody, Mike and I are going to our Kroger's Grand Opening this morning. Got an invitation that said we were one of the "top 10" buyers at the store. :o They are feeding us breakfast and showing us around. Mike has been in the store ever day (except cruise and traveling time to cruise) since they started remodeling. He could probably show them around.;) But it looks like fun and we are going.

Got to get my shower and get ready. Way to go Dan and Scott. Who are you eating with? Take care, Kathy

Mike,

how's your thumb? Hopefully better!! In Germany fingers are very important: You just lift them in a pub or bar and get a beer for every finger you rise. Bad luck for the guys working in the sawmill :p :p :jester: :p :p

This is a post wearing the Number of The Beast, it's our 666th post on this thread and which number would be better to wish you a creepy Halloween :jester:
BTW, Halloween made it's way over the great pond and is now celebrated here, too. Another way for the candy industry to make some money ;) , but the kids love it.

Thumb is better Eric. I will give you a big thumbs up:) for the number of beers to order. I did learn to order a large coffee while I was in Germany in addition to the beer.

Dan and Scott have officially booked and we are looking forward to a trip report from them, since they actually did the western route.

Had to drag Kathy from the toyota dealership today. We were looking at one of the hybrid cars, the prisus and took one for a test drive. It would take a little while to get used to it being so ultra quiet at traffic signals since the engine shuts off. She wanted to talk figures and I had to get us out of there before we bought one. Mike

Mike, Bill has the little prius. We bought it a couple of months ago for him to run around in. It is really strange when you are sitting at the light and it shuts itself off! Bill loves the mileage though. About 60 mpg. :D

It has gotten extremely cold here. We even had some flakes of snow. 29 right now and it is 5 pm. Glad we are leaving tomorrow for a little California sunshine.

Hope you all have a treat Halloween and no tricks played on you!

Elaine and all the rest of the Shannons

Kathy--- I am the ET Nurse which means I take care of all the ostomy patients and wound patients. Not a job most people want. However, I love it have done it for 26 years.

It is very cold in PA. I need to find a winter coat to wear. The leaves haven't even changed and we are having winter weather. My sister lives in northern PA and they had snow accumulation last night. Cathy any snow your way?

Still doing that hockey tournament stuff. Now working on Christmas.

Nancy & Norm

Nancy good to hear from you. I don't think that you are ever going to finish the hockey tournaments are you?;) Find you a warm coat and bundle up tight. We wouldn't want you to get a chill or anything. You need more insulation like me:bounce:

Good to hear about Riker and his progress.

My thumb is better and I was able to wash a few dishes very carefully last night by keeping my thumb dry and stuck up in the air.

Have to run everybody take care. Mike

Mike, Kathy, Elaine and Mike,

you really made my day: With your talk about buying a Prius, respectively owning one already, I could finally convince some of my colleagues that there are reasonable Americans and that thinking of Americans as driver of gasguzzling SUVs only is just a prejudice!!!
I alsways wonder why Toyota doesn't promote that car over here, but I think they just can't produce enough of them as the engine system is very complex and not ready for big scale production. One guy in our gym drives one and it is always astonishing when this great car drives in "whisper-mode" over the parking lot.
If I ever consider trading in my convertible, the Prius would be a top contender!!

Happy Halloween to All!

Feeling a little under the weather lately.... :(

Mike, take care of where you point that thumb! Glad it's feeling better and on the mend. Now, what is this about Cathy's "paw"? I must have missed it.

Mike---I won't be done with the tournaments until after Christmas then I am resigning as the Hershey Youth Hockey Tournament Queen 7 years is enough. High School Ice hockey starts tomorrow and Norm coaches a team, so I am the manager of that team. I thought when my kids went off to college I would have less hockey, doesn't seem to be working out that way.

Elaine-- I promise I will get those pictures out soon.

Hi to Mary and Ave.

Happy Halloween to everyone.

Nancy & Norm

Very busy these past two weeks. Life is Good!
Hi Nancy! Thinking of you always.

Ave,

the Boss is comming to Germany in Spring 2003!!

My daughter came here last night with some bad news. The roof on her home is leaking and they are going to need some help getting a new one. I guess the prius will have to wait a little bit longer:(

My telephone has been on the blink for 2 days now. I have dsl service, but no voice service. Phone dude is supposed to be here some time today. Mike

Our salesman just lost his sale. Mike called to tell him that we wouldn't be by there today and the reason why. (DD1's roof needs to be replaced.) His comment was "Can't you just fix part of it?" Not, "Sorry but maybe in a few weeks/months come back and talk to me," but that ridiculious remark! I guess everyone is concerned with their own bottom line.

Waiting for the Katie monster to arrive. That is what her own mama calls her so don't get mad. She growls! Still a cute and happy baby, most of the time.

Wonder how Cathy's paw is doing? Wonder if she is lurking?

I found some real cute fleece at Jo Ann's ETC day before yesterday to make some berets out of and was feeling so satisfied with myself cause I got it for 65 cents, when I opened the roll I found out why it was so cheap! There may be enought to make 1 beret.:o It was in bright colors of orange and browns with some purpleypink in it. Bunny's (my friend's) colors. I was hoping to have enough to make one for Katie too. Oh well.

Will get off for now, DDIL is waiting for the computer and I need to get up and do something before going in to work tonight. Take care everyone. Kathy

ps, Eric, we do not have an SUV, Mr. Smarty Pants.:p We have Scarlet who likes diesel and gets about 36-37 mpg and a gas guzzling Chevy S-10 who gets about 12 mpg:o

 Ave, Nancy and any lurkers out there:D

Mike,
I know that you have reasonably economic cars and that is why I praised you !!! (And Bill)
Most people over here think that every American drives an SUV or an oversized Pick-up and I just used your example to convince some of my colleages from the contrary.
Let's hope that the leaking roof is not too expensive and you can go and get the Prius.
But what about a Beetle Convertible? I just saw the first pics of it and it looks great - for a ragtop :p

Eric the roof is going to be about 25% of a new prius:(

hope that you and Anja are staying warm with your new car. The disappearing hard top has to be a sight to behold.

Hope that everyone is enjoying the cooler weather.

Mary did you get the oven fixed? Ave around the drink station on deck 9 sound great to me.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: come on october Mike
