Hi gang! It's been ages since I've looked at this thread and even longer since I've posted. Life gets so busy some times and I now have my own website for my agency, and it is keeping me busy. That's the good news. The bad news is that I may not be able to join you next year. Things are still up in the air, but I am doing two continuing education travel courses and one of them, my Accredited Cruise Counselor, requires that I take a cruise from 2-5 days in length. I can't afford to cruise twice next year, so am uncertain at this time what to do. I may postpone my ACC for a year, and if I do that, I will DEFINITELY be with you all! Dan and Scott enjoy your cruise next week and check out the cat juggler in mallory square for us. Also Mel Fisher has a museum there in Key West with treasures from the ship atocha. There is a gold and emerald necklace that we saw on exhibit when it was in Nashville about the size of a coffee cup. The entire necklace minus the chain.

Great site Jean. Hope that you, Myra and ???(senior moment) can't remember the lady's name are able to come with us next year. Is anyone else jealous about the amount of time Ze Germans get for vacation?? Hope that you and Anja are enjoying yourselves and drive safely.

Just got off the Magic from a wonderful week of paradise. We and several other DIS's that were on the ship rebooked for 10/11/2003. I can hardly wait. Just a year to go.

FYI: I am a part-time resident at Spruce Creek Fly-In in Daytona Beach. I'm currently in FL and will be here until Nov. 19 - except for 2 upcoming Wonder cruises. I've never done the Magic and am really looking forward to next year's Cruisetoberfest.

Welcomr to the cruisetoberfestII Maureen. We just saw the magic and the carnaval pride both go by the cape canaveral cam.

My DW wants to know if you are an RN and what is your specialty? Kathy is a NICU nurse for the last 18 years.

Mary and her twin sister Ave are also nurses. They are L & D nurses. Eric's wife Anja is an orthopedic nurse there in Germany. Mike (not a nurse )

we really deserve it !! Just take a seat in a Mercedes and then go to your local GM guy But I admit that you Americans make better movies, mostly better music and I also prefer your literature. And for the the privilege to have 31 days of vacation I have tax and insurance deductions of roughly 50% of my salary And I have to pay more than $4 per gallon unleaded gas, of which about $3 are taxes.
The best would be to have vacation according to German rules and pay taxes according to American rules
But both you Americans and us Germans are better off than 90% of the rest of the world: We care about our vacation or better cars while large parts of the world don't know what they will eat tomorrow Let's just be grateful for "our problems"

It's looking like this may be the largest DIS cruise ever. (Being somewhat new to the boards I may be wrong.) I was thinking maybe DCL would set aside a special place for us to do the meet and greet thing. Maybe on an afternoon while at sea, they could let us use one of the lounges. Maybe provide us with a bartender or two. And maybe a cheese tray, or we could ALL order cheese trays from room service an hour before getting together and bring our own. Or set up a few runners from Topsiders. LOL Come to think of it we could also bring our own bev. of choice.
Don't get me wrong, the Sailaway Party on 9/28 was GREAT! But it was very LOUD. What do you think? Later, Ave'

that would be great!! I'd say we wait until we are in the triple digit range, which should happen after Xmas, and then we contact DCL.
BTW, what about a cruise lotto? We could guess on when the 100people-mark is crossed and on the final count

Yes, I am an RN. My specialty at the moment is Recovery Room. I have had many other specialties but that is the most recent. I've been a nurse almost 18 years.

Nice to meet you all! I will have to take one day to read this entire thread. I really enjoyed my last meeting with my fellow DIS's on the Oct 12th Magic.
