.......We also have two, yes two, Bassett Hounds. Their function is to keep the deer, rabbits, birds and UPS man out of the yard (invisible fence is great but the UPS person won’t get out of the truck because the dogs are loose in the yard, so they have effectively treed him, what great hunting dogs......

What happens when you expect a UPS delivery, such as your DCL tickets!!???!!:eek:

...........For a PA/NY/MD meet August 2 looks good for me. It doesn't matter where we have it. If Baltimore is to far for some, do we want to look at either Lancaster, Hershey or Allentown area.............
So we will definitely have a meet on 8/2/03. Lancaster would be a nice place. Lancaster and Baltimore would both be about a four hour drive for us.

Allentown would be a bit closer for us but.... what's in Allentown???

.............I found a nice gadget for all digital photographers: A German company named Hama sells a portable CD-writer with slots for the most types of memory-cards. It saves them directly onto CD without the need of a computer. It writes CDs with 36x, CD-RWs with 10x, and reads CDs with 48x. Additionally you can use it as a discman or as an external drive for your PC/laptop. Unfortunately the guy in the shop didn't know if it runs with 110 Volts, but I contacted the company about it. If it also runs with 110 V, I will buy it for my trip to Denver. My new digicam has a 5.0 megapixel-CCD and needs a lot of memory-cards, so this drive is a great deal at about €200 ($240).
This sounds very interesting. Let me see if I understand this correctly. It is a little independent CD burner where you can take a memory card from your camera (I believe my Olympus has media cards?) and it will burn the pictures right onto a CD? I guess you don't have a website link for more info, do you? I wonder if you can use the same CD to burn a few pictures at a time and be able to add more pictures to it later or do you have to have all the pictures burned into it in one sitting.

I like this idea....

I wonder if we have something like this here in the states.

Is this a new budding technology? If so, it should hopefully get cheaper and better as time passes.

Hi everyone,
Just checking in since I don't post that much until we get relly close to sailing.
Eric, I know the answer to who Dan ran into --the only clue I will give you is that she is a female cruisemate from Cruisetoberfest 1.
Scott
Scott!!! So nice to see you posting here! Looking forward to seeing you and Dan in October.

I bet I know who Dan ran into. (I only wish it was me!!)

Just have to say, enjoyed reading everyone's bios. It got a little confusing at some points with people using given names as opposed to DIS names and I had to check back to see who I was reading about but then, I get confused sorta easily....

Our bio will be forthcoming. It is only fair I type it out when Tulirich is around but he headed off to bed just recently and so should I.

Everyone take care. See you in October (unless we meet at a PA/NY/MD meet first!)

Rosemary,
I bought it yesterday and it is GREAT!!! I had to call the company first to inquire if it works with your 110 Volts and after I had a positive answer I called the next Mediamarkt (Comparable to BestBuy or CompUSA). They had it in stock, but at Euro 250 :( Fortunately they have the policy to match the competitor's prices and I got it for EURO 199 :bounce: :Pinkbounc
Yes, it can write several cards on on one CD as it starts a new folder with each burning process and does so-called "Multi-Session-CDs". The cardreader swallows ;) : Smartmedia, Compact Flash, Memorystick, etc (7 different types at all).
Feel free to bring a blank CD for the cruise and download your memorycards in our stateroom.

To all Survivor-fans:

Just read on MSNBC that the magazine with the bunny brings a Heidi&Jenna-Special in its August issue :p

OK I am back! Had a good trip, but it did rain almost everyday it seemed, oh well.

My most pleasant surprise of the trip was when I was getting off the Rock and Roller Coaster and I here someone saying my name. I turn around and it was Nancy (Windermere) and her husband. They were boarding the Magic the next day. It was a very good surprise-I am jealous of them on the ship now!

Welcome all the new Ohioians! eeyorekjs7-I stay in columbus for work quite often, I know exactley where your husband is at. I recently stayed across the street at the Springhill Suites.

So I propose that we should have an OHIO Cruisetoberfest meeting. What do you guys think?

Dan

Tulirose-

I looked for your creamer/sugar bowls and never found anything that was remotely close. Not sure if the make them anymore or not.

Dan

Is anyone thinking about doing the new intineraries next fall? I want to go to San Juan-I know some have you have been before (hurricane cruisers)

Hi Everybody:

Heres our short abridged bio. I work for an insurance company doing disability insurance. I have been here and I still cant believe it 17 years. Time sure goes fast when youre having fun or so we hope we are. Andy is currently working for several companies concurrently doing evaluations for differant mortgage and homeowner companies. He always has to be busy.

We have 1 cat. a sweet little daddys girl. Shes an orange tabby and is approx 16-18 years old but still has a little kitten in her at times.

Collecting disney - If I bring any more things into the house Andy will throw me out. But of course I still do. My entertainment unit has 1/2 filled with disney and 1/2 half filled with precious moments and other knickknacks. I also have disney plates, dolls, throws etc.. Even I think I get a little out of hand. Trying not to get into the mess I got into with beanie babies. Dont ask.

We have no kids. We got married when we were a little older and kids just didnt come into the picture but I have lots of nieces and nephews that I love dearly.

Also - the 8/2/03 meet sounds great but before that a meet with tulirose needs to happen since we dont live far apart.

Arlene

Hi Dan-
You're right, you WERE right across the street. Next time you'll have to stay at Candlewood! :D

We're definitely open to an Ohio meet. Colleen mentioned earlier maybe meeting at the State Fair or the Zoo later in the summer.

Kate

Kate,

I got that resservation through priceline.com and then pocket the rest of my hotel allowance, so I have to be frugal! LOL

We are in Mansfield, where are you?

Dan

Dan,
have a look at The List - That's what I made it for :teeth:

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Today we got our tax refund: €970 = $1144 :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

So my new digicam is paid for :p But Anja thinks I now owe her gifts from Colorado in the same amount

Hey Dan,

We are from a TINY town called Glenford. It is 45 minutes east of Columbus and just south of I-70. It's worth the drive in to Columbus to live in the country!

Viking-

I agree with Anja. She should get gifts from Colorado. Shouldn't all women get gifts from tax returns??? :D

Kate

:Pinkbounc

You go Anja !!!!Wonderful silver jewerly in Colorado....:p ;)

Bette

My tax return is going to my new couch.cant wait.

Just think a disney cruise, shower doors and a new couch all in the same year. Can't ask for more. Okay I can ask for more but definetely happy with getting these things. Next goal...hardwood floors and a new kitchen counter..

Just a quick computer help question---

How come I don't always get email notifications when someone posts a reply? What am I doing wrong. I will go for a length of time getting email notifications and then all of a sudden nothing. Then I go into the site and see that people have posted pages.

Can anybody advise me? By the way I do have the box marked to notify me by email when somebody posts....
