Has anyone heard from Dave & Ellen lately ... hope they are OK.

Dan ... glad you had a nice trip. I think this summer we are going to be in a perpetual monsoon (sp). Hope that means that it'll be all stormed out by the time we cruise!

Rosemary ... About a meet in PA - Allentown has Dorney Park. One part is regular amusement park and the other part is a water park. I know cause it's located in part of my work territory and I drive by it once a month. Lancaster would have some neat stuff to see with al lthe Amish there.

Planning a meet seems to be hard this year with the crappy weather. Love to do something outside but maybe we should look at something inside too. Any really big malls around we could wander thru and then maybe have a really nice dinner at?

Eric .. or should I say Anja ..... :Pinkbounc JEWELRY:Pinkbounc brought home from a USA business trip IS A MUST :smooth:
Eric, you get all the techy toys that light up ... how about lighting up Anja's fingers, wrist or neck with a little glitter!

If anyone of the girls are interested ... Woman's World Magazine dated June 14th, 2003 (on the stands now) has a really great article about CURVES. The 30 Minute Ladies Only Work-Out Club that I got to 4 times a week. I can't believe I'm saying this but I really like it and my idea of exercise was the handle on the side of my recliner! Check it out.

Gotta run and finish up some work on my desk so I can pack tonite. Going away with Sarah'sMom to VA for the weekend and we are to meet Scooter'SMOM for Dinner too. Can't wait rain or no rain ... I look at it this way, no dishes - no cooking - no phone and some different scenery!

Cathy with a C

Eric..I agree with Anja..sorry..it's a women's/girl thing...bring her back jewelry and you may even find some nice Southwest pottery, etc. to lug back..Anja sounds like my kind of woman!!! I am even telling Sarah to go for the gold!!

Trying to dodge raindrops (it seems like that is all that we do!!) and finish up some work..off to Williamsburg tomorrow night..unlike Cathy/GoofyNut, I have to work half day tomorrow and my boss forgot that I was off for the next several days and had projects lined up for me to do so I am trying to finish them up!! Meeting Scootersmom from Ohio for dinner Friday night. Can't wait.

Dan...glad you had a great trip...how far is Chillicothe from you guys..picked up a brochure from "Tecumseh!" and thought maybe I could fit it in this summer...I am running out of weekends though.

Sarah and I are definitely in for the August 2nd meet..I am familiar with Lancaster so would be happy to send out information on that or we can do Baltimore..Dorney Park is in Allentown as Cathy said but we are not crazy about it...it certainly isn't Disney!!

Try to stay dry and please, please our Florida cruisers, could you send just a little warm weather with no all day rain our way!! Mary Jo

Hi Dan,

We are 30 minutes west of Zanesville, 30 minutes south of Newark and 30 minutes northeast of Lancaster. The closest landmark to us that you might know is Buckeye Lake.

Kate

To all PA cruisers-
The other 6 in our cruising party are flying out of PIT and got a great airfare of $123 on United, thought you guys might be interested.

Kate,
I do know where Buckeye Lake is, actually I have been there.

Buckeye Lake?? Sounds very YUMMY to me :jester:

Folks,
we hit 107ºF today:sunny: :earseek:
When we did our Pump-Class the instructor splashed us with water, because in spite of the air-conditioning it was hot like hell.
In Germany we usually follow our General Surgeon's recommendation of not cooling to more than 6ºC/11ºF below outside temp to avoid the danger of catching a cold.

Wow Eric that is HOT!!! It is not hot here. Was just out at lunchtime picking up stuff Chris needs for the weekend and it started to rain. :(

It is still raining and it's actually quite cool although I'm not sure of the exact temperature. It certainly isn't close to 107F. It might be in the low 60's.

Last night at the Jays game (we won 8-5 against the Pirates) the Dome was open and we had to put on our sweaters because of the breeze. We did take off our sweaters after the game once we got to street level because it was much warmer (almost humid) without the breeze coming off the lake.

Another game tonight for us against the Pirates and then 3 against the Cubs but without Sammy Sosa.

Hi Everyone, So glad to see everyone posting again! Oct. will be here before you know it.
ARLO1 I'm having the same problem with the notification thing. Maybe the webmasters have changed something. I also find I have to sign in each time I post.
Last day at my job today.:( Very sad to be leaving so many good friends. But looking forwad to my new job too. I'm so confused. LOL
I'm getting jelouse of all these mini-Dis meets. wish we could join you.
Anja, never mind the silver, go for the gold stuff. :jester:
Got to run. Later, Ave'

Ave,
I also had the last day at my old job yesterday. When I return from Denver I will sit in another part of our building. OK - It's just about 20 yards and two doors away from my old cubicle ;) but nevertheless that greedy bunch of colleagues insists on a farewell-party there and a housewarming-party at the new place ;)
I think my new partner and I will have to pay breakfast for the whole team (40 people) when we're back from The States.
Today Anja and I have a day off. We will drive to Darmstadt, which is about 25 miles south of Frankfurt. My new partner lives there and we'll have dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant with him and his girlfriend. Fortunately our gym has a branch there, so we can work out, then do some heavy shopping (Darmstadt is our favourite place for it) and then have dinner.
Last night we had some heavy rain, but only for about an hour or so. I didn't chase away the heat. Now at 0830am we're already back in the upper 70ies and the crossing of the 100º-mark is predicted again for today.
Now I have to jump into the shower and then I will go to our bakerman and get some yummy, freshly baked rolls for breakfast :p

You know, I really miss this living in florida after moving from NJ. There really isn't a local bakery near work or home. There are a couple of donut shops, but it isn't the same. Quite a shame.

BTW, since its the first time I've popped in this thread, I'm JenKatt's lesser half. I'm a 27 (soon 28) year old Network Administrator for Goodwill Industies of Manasota Inc. I also play with a 14 mile long electric train set (The WDW Monorail System) on the weekends. And yes, we'll be at That Other Table (which I think at this point is going to consume half the dining room). And in my spare time I'm an end user of Viking's products being a private pilot myself.

I also am not getting email notification about posting, though notice there hasn't been much chatting here the last couple of days.

I am heading to Ohio Sat morning for my conference in Cincinnati, so won't be back until 6/19. Flying into Columbus and driving down. Got SWA flight for $88 R/T.

Just ordered my air tickets for Oct. Doing Air Tran out of BWI. They were cheaper than SWA. Was $144 each before all the taxes. We won't get to MCO until 10:30pm so we won't even get to the Radisson until midnight.

Now need to make WDW reservations for 2 days post cruise.

Got to get busy to travel. Zillions of stuff to do.

Later,
Nancy

Welcome Jeff! I know what you mean about the bakeries in the south. I go a little nuts when I visit New York, BAGLES, BLACK & WHITES, CHEESECAKE, RYE BREAD, SPRINKLE COOKIES! (not to mention PIZZA)!!!We have an OK bagel store here, but it's just not the same! Everytime I visit NY I bring back 2 doz bagles!

Nancy...sorry to hear you will not be at the Radisson until late! BUT check out the pool area when you get there, we just might be still hanging around! If not, will catch you on Sat morning.

Hi all too funny i just started a new job this week......
after a 7 month lay off ........ was a long winter here in the North...... just checking in .... read one thing i must have missed table seating in dining room ????
r some of u all sitting at some large table we have second seating peter

Sorry, Folks - For making your mouths water :p

Jeff,
thanks for supporting Jeppesen. So we supplement each other perfectly as I heavily support your weekend employer ;)
On Monday I will fly to our headquarters in Denver for my very first time - After having been with the company for more than 8 years.
Will you be on duty between October 2nd and 10th? And if so, are there any possibilities to meet you "in the nose"?
We rode in the nose in 95, 97, and 99, but didn't dare to ask in 2001 as we were at WDW from 9-15 til 9-21 and assumed that due to the heightened security measures after that terrible event it wouldn't be permitted for the time being.
