Crowds - May 2005 vs. June 2006 - How do they compare?

Hi!

Last year, DH & I & kids went to WDW for the 1st time as a family in May - the week before Memorial Day, and, while it was crowded, DH & I both thought it was quite manageable.

This year, because of DD's school schedule & DH's work schedule, we're not going to WDW until 6/13.

When I look at the UOG's "crowd level prediction" page, it lists the days that we'll be there as 8's w/ the last 2 days as 9's.

I'm wondering if there's any list anywhere that still has the 2005 "crowd level prediction" & what it actually turned out to be, if that makes sense - so I can see what the crowds were in May of last year & how that compares to the predicted crowds for this June. If I remember correctly, I think UOG predicted 7's & 8's for the week we were there last May - maybe 6's & 7's.

I think last May was more crowded than normal due to the start of the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

The reason why I'm wondering is because I'm getting a little worried about June's crowd level predictions because, for 2 days of our vacation, my parents will be joining us, and they HATE crowds. So, I'm afraid that they will just not enjoy WDW & will complain about the crowds & heat - which will, of course, put a damper on our vacation.

But, if it's like last May (week before Memorial Day), I think they'll be fine.

I just don't know if last May's crowds were normal or above-normal. Our trip last year was my first time to WDW as an adult - the last time I'd been was on my senior trip in 1991! So I don't have anything more recent to compare the crowds to.

Was last May the way June normally is?

Thanks so much!

I don't know of a list, but I can tell you the parks will be much more crowded mid-June than they are in May. But if your parents know what in advance perhaps they might want to plan some time in the parks with family and some time out of the parks (Downtown Disney, resort, etc....).

While I can't give exact numbers, it's a given the week before Memorial Day is generally 'moderate' and the second week in June is Busy. Regardless of the Happiest Celebration, you're going to see much bigger crowds this June. Attendance is up, and I would venture it's going to stay up.
