Crowd Calendars are all different...help me decide..

Hey we'll be there the same time as you and it's been 6 years for us too. So much has changed, so much more planning to do. I'm kinda glad it was like it was when the kids were small it was a whole lot easier. Now everyone is all grown up so we'll just go with the flow. Have a good trip

Yes, yes, yes! It's been 5 years for us and we feel the same way. It was so much more relaxing when the kids were little. We had dining reservations but we did the FP as needed. Now it is plan, plan, plan. Glad our kids are old enough to roll with it. And glad we've been there enough to be content with a change of plans.

Our fastpass scheduling time will be opening soon and I've still not sat down to figure out what park we will be in when. Ugh gotta get moving to get those 3 fast passes. Just so hard to figure out when I know we'll be hoping.

I feel like if you're are looking at a crowd calendar for a particular day and see one park having the lowest crowd level, either...

1. Everyone will be at that park because it's the lowest of the "four" so I should pick another park
2. I'm going to that park because it's the lowest

The percentage of WDW guests that use any type of crowd calendar to plan their trip is relatively small, so I'd go with option 2.

We're not going until the end of August but I picked my park days before I had to make ADRs. I just based it on the EMH schedule and what we want to do, and I doubt I'll change our days around. I'm going against recommendations on our last two days (EP on a Fri during F&W and MK on a Sat) but it will be our 2nd day in both of those parks so we'll make it work. With only 6 park days to work with (and no hopping) we don't have a lot of flexibility.

I feel ya on the crowd calendars being so different! I just use as a guide, but ultimately decide to go where it fits best

We are going in August and I have already had to pick the parks and made dining reservations. Of course I'm still changing things around and then rethinking everything . I'm kind of frustrated not knowing for sure what we are doing.
I usually go by easywdw's crowd calendar but it is not up yet so I'm pretty much guessing what parks to go to according to last years crowd calendar.
Now there is a rumor that AK will have evening EMH but the dates they are stating are May to July 4th. Hoping they add some to August.
We decided to go ahead an get the hopper in case. As of right now I think we will be hopping 2 days.

Josh is my absolute favorite and I swear by his advice, but he hasn't been doing as many crowd calendars lately.
