Ranch Pork Chops with Gravy

6 bone-in or boneless pork chops fat removed (I recommend boneless)
1 package dry ranch mix
2 tbsps dry brown gravy mix
1 small onion chopped
1 can cream of celery soup

Put pork chops in, cover with onion - ranch mix - gravy mix. Top with soup mix. Cook on high 4-5 hours, low 6-8 hours.

It will make a great gravy (thick) for mashed potatoes, rice, noodles. I thin mine with a bit of milk before serving. Very tender and flavorful.

I made this last week, very tasty we all loved it. I only add a can of cream of mushroom soup. A+:thumbsup2

I do this with either a porkshoulder, Chuck roast, or whole chicken

Spray the inside of the crockpot with pam, rub meat with 1 - 2 packs of taco seasoning(i only use one but the recipe calls for 2). Place meat in the crockpot and add 1 small can of ortega green chiles, 1 med. onion diced and 1/4 cup of vinegar. Heat on high for about 30 min and then turn down to low. I usually cook the pork and beef for about 8 hours on low, the chicken cooks quicker so probably 4 - 5 hours. Once the meat is cooked remove and shred it. Return it to the pot and let it simmer in the juices for 30 minutes or so. Fill flour tortillas with meat, lettuce, tomatos, cheese what ever you like. Serve with Spanish rice and beans .

I love beef roasts and beef stews but I despise mushrooms. What is a good alternative to cream of mushroom soup that I can use? I also want my roast to have dark brown gravy, not grayish looking gravy which sometimes happens. What will improve the look of beef gravy?

you can make your own white sauce (flour butter/marg and milk) and flavor it how you wish. You can use chicken or beef buillion powder and Kitchen Bouquet to make the beef gravy darker. You can make it fat free as well.

My kids are turned off by the mushrooms and cream of celery brings back bad memories:scared1: of tuna noodle casserole for me-:rotfl:

Well I'm going to try the brown sugar chicken over rice tonight :thumbsup2! Has anyone tried it? DD LOVES teryaki chicken, so I think it should go over well with her. I love tossing every thing in the crock pot and having dinner 90% complete when everyone gets home.

I made the Five Flavor Chicken in the crockpot tonight. It was delicious. Thank you Dis friends.

Made the Crockpot Chicken and Black Beans with Cream Cheese the other night (post #6) and.... oh my gosh. So good! It's like eating the inside of a burrito or enchilada. My BIL actually put some of his into a couple of tortillas and had them as burritos. He said he could eat it every day for the rest of his life. :rotfl: My sister ate it straight up, and I had it over white rice.

The leftovers got eaten with tortilla chips to make a yummy nachos plate.

We're having it again tomorrow. :thumbsup2 I used two cans of black beans instead of one can to stretch it a bit and that seemed perfect for us.

I made this again the other day too. I thought I had everything in my pantry... best laid plans... I ended up using white northern beans instead of black and taco sauce instead of salsa. It was still yummmmm! Having the leftovers for dinner tonight.
