So no one is going to mention the hook up between Rossi and Strauss???
Two good points. When I saw Strauss coming out of the hotel, I thought maybe she had "gone off the wagon" and Rossi was trying to get her back into rehab, but it didn't seem that way when she thanked Morgan. Which by the way, I'm not sure how I feel about that scene.
I still don't think I can talk about it because the idea of Rossi & Strauss together makes me want to hurl all over my keyboard.
A part of me thinks this is a red herring for next season. For one thing, people in AA, just in recovery, are NOT supposed to get into relationships the first year. I don't think Rossi would derail that. Maybe he was taking her to an AA meeting to support her and to be sure she'd go?
But, do they have AA meetings at hotels? I thought they have them at churches and cheap places where they can rent the meeting rooms. Hmm, maybe AA meetings for agents & police are different. That they are subsidized and more private as they need a private, safe space where they can be able to freely discuss stuff that only agents & cops should know about, and know it won't leave that room. I remember that episode where Reid had to attend a meeting was also in a kind of ritzy place.
Also, her talking to Morgan & thanking him for calling her out on her stuff is one of the steps about making amends.
I agree with everyone else that this was a great, edge of our seats episode. The only thing I would like to have changed was that JJ get into the house before Izzy had the chance to tell poor Henry the story about her awful grandfather.
And I was horrified when Izzy started to tell Henry the story. Someone on here mentioned if the kid will need therapy after seeing Mommy kissing/marrying fake Daddy. I'm wondering if he will because of that scene. Weirdo lady holds him & starts to tell him about her bad grandfather.
I wonder how much of this episode he was actually on set for. I've got to think most of it he wasn't on set & then they film him in different scenerios and put it together.
That scene with Izzy talking to Henry also creeped me out. You could tell by his eyes that a he was having a first reaction to lot of that stuff she was doing and saying.
But, AJ Cook is Henry's mom in real life. She's not some stage mom coming onto the set for the first time and then shoved in a corner while they work with Henry. I would think she went over and over with him how they are going to do all this pretend stuff with the actress playing Izzy, who he has met off set and is a nice person in real life, but is going to pretend to scare him.
I think also, that AJ let him see some of the stage combat rehearsals with her & Izzy, where they are laughing and joking and stopping a lot while pretend fighting, the way he might play wrestle a friend on the playground, so that he knows those scenes that look so real to us are just fake.
Rossi.... I have to admit, I am a diehard Gideon fan(truth be told I love almost all of Mandy stuff), so when Rossi's character came on I was very reluctant, but I LOVE the character they are having him become. The Italian feast, and now this. It makes sense to me that HE would be the one who could seperate it all.
I love Rossi. Joe Mantegna's wife in real life, actually owns an Italian restaurant called, The Taste of Chicago, in Burbank, CA. One of the specialties is Italian Beef. according to his Twitter feed, Jay Leno & other celebs have eaten there. So, I think the writers are purposely getting in more of him cooking and hosting the wedding was perfect. Of course, Rossi has had 3 of his own weddings, so he's a pro at them.
